Bad news for Chelsea it seems. Apparently Eden's father has confirmed that Eden has rejected our offer of a contract extension and wants to wait and see whether Madrid will get involved for a summer move.
Losing Eden would break my heart. He's one of the few players that seems to play to enjoy himself and entertain the fans. Not all focused on stats etc. like many others. There's no one that could replace him. Truly, I'd be devastated if he leaves. And for the first time ever, I have to say it doesn't look good :- (.

Tbh if it happens then there is nothing we can do and we will have to accept losing a world class player.
But given how much Neymar went for then it should be easy mathematics for real madrid. Are they willing to pay that sort of fee? In any event, I would take Isco and Asensio as minimum requirement with any deal.

Hazard is just shy of 27, signing a new contract with us now is cementing (as much as is possible) the best years of his career with us. This is probably the most significant decision of his career and it is only natural that he would keep his options open. He might not get a chance to sign for Real again.
He is probably one of only two (including Kante) irreplaceable players in our squad, but if he does leave (like Lampard, Drogba etc. ) then the show will go on.

Exactly. Big decision for Hazard and for our club. Do we look to sell for a big fee now? Or do we let him see out his contract by which time he will be 29, 6 months shy of 30. Who knows real interest may go away by then and he may eventually commit himself to us.

Yeah I know. If he signs an extension then he's tying himself to Chelsea for the rest of his prime. I'd love nothing more! I just can't think of a player that could replace him.

Somebody who would play striker or GK if asked and give 100%, literally the most under appreciated players we have ( with Courtois ) hazard is superb but with his money we could add threat to left AND RIGHT, Courtois we could in throaty replafe with oblak who is similar standard, conte harder to replace but replacing a highly consistent and dedicated leader I don’t think we can replace, LB RB CB WB.

Hazard out, Sanchez in while you hide time finding a longer term replacement? Hazards great but there are times through the season you carry him. For the right money I don’t think he’s ve all that big a loss to you guys.

Really want to see Clarke Salter get a decent loan, maybe one of the promotion chasing Championship clubs. If you read some of the comments JT has made about the lad it's clear he has a very bright future.

Agree with some of the above. If Hazard and courtois want to go, then there is no point standing in there way. It’s then about getting the right money. If they go to Madrid then Madrid have a few players they could throw into the mix, as long as sick note Bale isn’t one of them.
So it’s now a waiting game, hopefully if they are going we will do our business early in the summer window so the new players get a proper pre season.

true its just so important for us if we sell hazard or tibo we need to replace them with elite players like a griezman or dybala etc.
