The latest Sky rumour (usually wrong) is Spurs are interested in Rudiger.
I don't think the club are usually very on doing business with them but I hope we make an exception in this case. I can't think of a better place for Rudiger to go!

Actually I think this one isn't wrong. We probably won't do business with them but it's good to have multiple suiters for him.
My preference is PSG. Let's give them Jorgi, Baka and Rudi.

@TomB, it might surprise you that Rudiger will play in almost all the top6 defence in England except Chelsea. Until lampard gets his defending right, I will hardly believe any of our defenders is not good enough as even VVD will struggle in our defence right now.

I have to agree with ilo here lads. Under Sarri, these guys were the 3rd best defence including Kepa.
But look I'm happy for the board to back Lampard, its his call who he wants to play, drop or even sell.
But unless he delivers a trophy or gets the top 4 then his job will be on the line. I agree Rudiger may walk into a Spurs defence and be a mountain. let's not forget barring last year there was always a defender in him.

Nothing surprises me ilo with our defending last season. It has improved so far this season without Rudiger anywhere near the defence.
I have never seen a CH with such poor positional sense. For me that is a natural instinct and something you can’t teach.
If other teams want him, that’s fine with me. I hope someone takes him to the ground because he might get lost on route.

Rudiger has been v good on occasion - eg v Man City after restart, and under Sarri - and something of a fans' hero for a while. Point is of course that our defensive issues cannot easily be put down to any one player but how the defense (and team in general defensively) is organised as a unit. This has been a major weakness as well know over last season and beginning of this one, as it was for Klopp in first season or two at LFC. Zouma when brought back helped greatly with his aerial power and physical strength. Alonso, as some suggesting, has played well for us as a left wing back rather than LB in four at the back system.
Anyway am hopeful Frank and his team can sort the defense out soon, and in way and with a discipline in shape/ expectation that can allow for some necessary rotation. Might be that Kepa cannot be completely written off yet, though confidence must be rock bottom now. But problems certainly need to be fixed pronto!

Rudiger has been an accident waiting to happen defensively since he came back from a quite serious injury.
Whether this is a mental or physical problem I don't know.
But if we have any title aspirations we need to sign at least one top CB.
