Chelsea Rumours
""Chelsea could offer him first team football and line him up with players of prestige and superstar quality. Schweini talked up a move to Chelsea in the summer and specifically pointed out that he would love to play along with Dorgba and Lampard. We're a great club which is moving forward although we're in a slump which nearly all clubs go through. We don't have history to offer as both Madrid and Manchester but we are going to create some in the coming years. If we persuaded Ballack probably the best German player of the last decade not because of a fat contract but because we were ambitious and had a plan, then I think we could very well persuade Schweinsteiger to join us. His price tag won't command much in the summer as he will only have one year remaining in his deal. Wages, well if he is willing to accept 80k per week well I think he might as well be a Chelsea player already.What's your thoughts ed?""

Er, no Ballack joined you for the 151k a week wages. Something you cannot offer anymore.

""Man Untied are reportedly weighing up a 12mil pound bid for the German in January as they think we and City will out bid them in the summer. Other than that, they want a replacement for Scholes and they think Schweni is the player to do so. They really have nothing else to offer except for history and probably ambition. If they win the prem they may have a chance to get him.""

I have heard it all now, the way you are talking makes it sound like you believe Chelsea have dominated United, have a think fella, since 2003 United have won 3 league titles, 3 league cups, 1 FA cup, 1 Champions league & 1 FIFA world club cup. Chelsea have won 3 league titles, 3 FA cups & 2 league cups. I would say its pretty equal wouldn't you? The fact that we have won the league 3 times in the last 4 years shows that we are there or there about, we only lost the league by one point you know, could have been different if Liverpool did not roll over for you.

What could United offer Schweinsteiger more than Chelsea?

Erm. .

1) Better wages
2) A fantastic History
3) A chance to play alongside world class stars, who are not over the hill and 1-2 years away from retirement.
4) To play in front of 76,000 crowd, 95,000 crowd if we get the World cup bid.
5) A chance to replace a Premiership legend (Scholesy).

You should not read what they put in the papers, for starters the story does not make sense, hows bidding in January going to prevent Chelsea or City from bidding in January themselves? Its lazy journalism. Also United will have no problem outbidding Chelsea, its City that we cannot outbid. The fact Ballack has said on two occasions that Bastian should sign for United and the fact that Bastian's brother loves United could also help sway it in our direction?

Personally i believe he will head to Real Madrid.

What do you believe will happen Ed? {ed's note - same as you, he will be off to Madrid and Alonso will probably be the one to make way.}

Lloris-£20m
Tasci-£15m
Kaka-swap
Carlos Eduardo-£10m
Total:£30m

OUTS:
Hilario-£3m (free)
Bosingwa-£10m (free)
Mancienne-£8m (2-3m tops)
Lampard-swap (no chance)
Zhirkov-£12m
Total:£33m

Net Spend:£2m

Why would Chelsea spend 20m on a understudy to Cech? Why would Lloris agree to that? Bosingwa will go for free if he was to leave, Hilario will be released for free, Mancienne is valued at 2-3m, Lampard is nearly five years older than Kaka, why would Real Madrid ever agree to that? Lampard is a good player for Chelsea but would be an average player in another team. Plus his old age has finally caught up with him.28 Nov 2010 18:08:01

Hey Ed, can you explain this whole Chelsea selling their naming rights dilemma.

{Editor's Note: The naming rights to the stadium are available at the right price.}

Chelsea want 100m over ten years, no one is interested and that is not at all surprising, people are usually only interested in sponsoring new builds simply because people will still call it Stamford Bridge and not "The Samsung Arena" for example. If you sponsor a new build like The Emirates then it has no other name therefore it will be known primarily as The Emirates and nothing else.

So far Samsung, Adidas, Petrobras & some helicopter company have knocked you back. I hear Vagisil Ltd are interested?

Imagine Jeff Stelling saying;

And there's a goal to tell you about down at the Vagisil Arena.

I appreciate the reply - and glad to hear that you are upbeat today.

The problem is the scaremongering. You started this thread by naming seven members of staff supposedly sacked by the owner. This is out and out scaremongering - nothing less. After I explained that you were simply wrong in all of that, you moved on to the ill founded views of your paranoid omnipotent super friends.

All clubs are seeking sponsorship by the way - it is the nature of the business and not a secret sign to the downfall of Chelsea.

Sharkey.

GOOD MORNING FELLAS, MY PARANOID FRIEND'S SOURCE IS A WOMAN IN ROCHDALE, SHE KNOWS RON GOURLEY PERSONALLY FROM HIS DAYS IN MANCHESTER. SHE WAS AN ADMIN WORKER IN UMBRO. THEY TALK REGULARLY AND SHE IS A FRIEND OF ONE OF MY "PARANOID FRIENDS".

THEY NEVER TOLD ME THOSE SEVEN WERE SACKED, THEY NEVER TOLD ME FRANK WAS SACKED BUT THEY HAVE SAID THAT ROMAN WILL NO LONGER FUND BIG MONEY SIGNINGS OR BUMPER CONTRACTS, THEY HAVE SAID THAT NO ONE WILL BE BOUGHT IN JANUARY, THEY HAVE ALSO TOLD ME THAT ROMAN IS STRUGGLING TO SELL THE NAMING RIGHTS TO STAMFORD BRIDGE AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT MORE PLAYERS AND STAFF WILL BE RELEASED DURING THE SEASON TO CUT DOWN ON THE WAGE BILL. ALSO TALKS WITH PETROBRAS HAVE COMPLETELY BROKEN DOWN AND WE ARE STRUGGLING TO GET SPONSORSHIPS.

EVERYTHING ELSE I HAVE SAID IS JUST WHAT I THINK COULD BE HAPPENING. I GUESS I AM THE PARANOID ONE, BUT THEY ARE NOT PARANOID AS THEY BELIEVE CHELSEA WILL BREAK EVEN WITH EASE COME 2015. THEY ALSO HAVE GREAT FAITH IN OUR YOUTH.

THIS WILL BE MY LAST NEGATIVE POST, I PROMISE, I WILL ONLY POST THE GOOD THINGS THAT I HEAR FROM NOW ON.

Lampard to Real Madrid in a part ex with Kaka. I don't believe the injury/injuries that the club and Lampard are proclaiming; I think that he wants to leave and the club want to do the swap.

Personally I would do this.Lampard is 33 by the end of the season and Kaka will only be 29. Both will command high wages but if Kaka comes to Chelsea it will be a straight swap between he and Lampard's wages. We all know what quality Kaka possesses as he won the world cup and the FIFA world player of the year award already. Anchelotti knows him all too well and could get the best out of him. Lampard is done. He looks like he's fed up and wants something more. He had a disappointing world cup and this affected him in a negative way psychologically. He won't have another chance to win the world cup with England as the younger generation will put him out of the squad. He'll probably make it to Euro 2012. I love Lamps like all Chelsea fans but if he wants to go I say let him. It will be heart rushing to see a true Chelsea and English legend end his career with Madrid and Mourinho. What's your thoughts ed, do you think such a deal will take place.

{Editor's Note: I can't see how you can say "Lampard is done. He looks like he's fed up and wants something more" given that he has been out injured for three months - rather like Kaka. I can't see this happening at all.}

It's true Ed.

{Editor's Note: Could you let me have an example of Frank Lampard looking "fed up" over the past three months please.}
