Ed’s, I'm not interested in speculation or ‘inside info’, but more your opinion. I can safely say after a few years following the site, that you do have genuine insight to the goings on behind the scenes at the club.

Now I am very grateful for what Abramovich has done for our beloved club (saving us from extinction, and funding our successes), but I really do wonder how expects any success by chopping and changing the manager/ backroom staff every season. Clearly the players are ageing and the squad is in need of a revamp, but this can’t be done overnight and whilst I understand there is a process – why can’t the owner and boardroom come out and put an end to this speculation. Surely we either back our manager, put our faith into him and HELP him to do his job, rather than hinder him with silence and confusion – or move him on?

I'm guessing if AVB secures 4th place, then he’ll keep his job. But why not just come out and say that? At the end of the day, the most important people at a football club are the fans and we deserve to know what’s going on. Over the years I’ve seen worse days than this (granted), but I’ve never felt this disillusioned with how the club is run – even in the Ken Bates era!

So I guess my question is, what does a manger need to do in order to get the boards backing? What is expected of them? Because I genuinely don’t believe any manager in the world is capable of revamping an ageing squad, challenging for the title and playing what Abramovich deems attacking football all at the same time. {Ed002's Note - You first need to realise that the reasons for managers departing is not always at the behest of the owner and I am sure Mr Abramovich will not be talking to the press. Typically, whe asked, Bruce Buck will give a reasoned opinion on most matters, but I don't see any reason for teh board to say anything about the manager. Additionally, if the manager is not working out or whatever reason, he needs to move n - Scolari is a prime example of that - and it was not at the request of teh owner.}

Hey ed
Is falcao under performing at the moment or is he playing well?

Im just trying to work out whether there is interest in him apart from avb infunce {Ed002's Note - There is, as I explained, lingering intrest but it would take a great deal to persuade Atletico to sell.}

How about the use of our goal keeper should go some way towards it

Is yossi benayoun in the plans for next season or is it likely he will leave the club as i thought he looked a good link with torres when we saw them play together a few times?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I think his contract is up at the end of this season and if he was in our plans I don't think he'd currently be out on loan.

Is Falcao a possibility ED? how many striker's do you think we may buy ED? Falcao is a box player i feel if we sign him we need someone like Lavezzi/Cavani to play alongside him?

CFC1905 {Ed002's Note - Falcao is a very slim possibility only. THere has been lingering interest but it would take a lot to geth Atletico to sell.}

Ed if Arsenal dont make the top 4 do you think Wilshere would be available at the right price? Great little player and English, my 1st pick would be Gotze but his price and likelyhood of coming to the EPL arent good.

PB {Ed001's Note - not him I don't, not yet.}
