Seen a few people link CHO to a Leverkusen loan, if we sign Havertz. Personally I can't see us loaning him out, and see him as an important part of the squad next season. I mentioned it a while back, but I think Leverkusen could be a very good place for Anjorin to spend a season or two.

Willian Pedro going not sure why we’d loan out CHO. Hope he doesn’t mid competition thou, because if his attitude / work Rate drops He will find himself on the bench,

I’m still not convinced Willian will be leaving this season.

I also can’t see CHO going out on loan but stranger things have happened:

Leverkusen need a striker. Batshuayi wants out and did well in the Bundesliga before.

I think we all may have jumped the gun with this loan business lol. If you think about it, it does sound bizarre.

That would make sense RJ28P.

I think the Bundesliga is a great place to send our youngsters on loan btw. Decent enough standard, certainly compared to the Dutch league, and a similar culture. A few lads have done well there now.

Getting rid of Michy as part of the deal would be fantastic business for us if we can just pay about 50 for Havertz. I agree with Tom though I can’t see Willian leaving he’s just like that one guy at a house party you want to get out but just won’t leave.

28 Jun 2020 19:19:42
I don't get why people want Willian to leave. He can play anywhere across the forward line and certainly better than CHO, who has shown no progression this season. Yes he is the wrong side of 30, but if CHO hasn't stepped up to the plate then Willian would be a great impact sub whilst keeping the starters honest. Look at Mata for United, still doing a job. The grass isn't always greener!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2020 23:16:37
No progression? CHO is a kid who's spent the vast majority of the season injured, or recovering from an injury. What do you want from him?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2020 09:55:05
That is my point, with no break between this and next season, he won't hit the ground running will he. All for homegrown talent, but he isn't as good as Willian.

I believe the initial rumour was for CHO to go to BL in part-exchange for Havertz - a permanent move not a loan. This is virtually impossible given the wage that we were blackmailed into giving CHO.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2020 18:54:13
Blackmailed doesn’t fit, I think the word you are looking for is intimidated or coerced.

Just heard from my good friend Doris who is very well and contrary to some rumours😏 is still on cleaning duties aboard Roman's boat. She tells me things have been very quiet with no visitors but lots of activity on the phone. Roman is spending several hours a day talking to Marina, Bruce, Pini and other super agents. She can't tell me any specifics but whenever Kai Havertz gets mentioned so does Callum Hudson-adoi! . Speculate on that? Again, no specifics but Kepa's name keeps coming up as well and so does Willians. Whenever Willian is mentioned she also hears contracts so I imagine he might still stay. She did hear Roman talking to an agent about a leicester player but was drowned out by him laughing and talking to his Son in Russian who also started laughing. Her Russian is improving and she thinks they were saying "Leicester are having a laugh if they think he is worth that much". loosely translated.
Anyway a few snippets in there and I told her I shall phone again next week. 😏😏.

I don't get the Kai Havertz and CHO link?

This is nothing more than putting 2+2 and getting 10 but Ed002 has said that Chelsea had an interesting proposal to put to BL. CHO needs game time to push on. a year on loan to BL as part of a deal for Kai Havertz would be interesting.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 17:51:51
If we can find a solution for Willian then CHO could spend two years at BL? He’d be the main man and could really step up to be the player he has teased to be. We’d have plenty of cover with Willian, Havertz, Pulisic, Ziyech, Mount and Timo?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 19:10:33
Agreed Shak I was thinking the same thing both different players, different skill set and different positions (is Ben if Havertz can play wide) . but I know better than to doubt Doris/ Olive.

Thanks Studley, it makes sense.

Loaning Callum would be a dumb move in my opinion. He's plenty good enough to play a part for us, and I'd imagine the people at the club feel the same. Hence the big contract as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 19:58:47
His definitely good enough to play a part but will his development be hindered if he wasn't to play every weekend.

I reckon we should buy Havertz outright.

I can see your point Jackson and I’m on the fence. That said he’s struggled with injuries this year and could see himself 4th choice next year. He’s also made some choices off the field that have hit the headlines. Perhaps some time away from Chelsea could be as important to his personal growth as well as his football growth?

27 Jun 2020 20:52:13
I agree with Studley and I’m a massive fan of CHO. A one year loan to gain some momentum and get proper minutes in a good league isn’t a bad idea. He has struggled with injuries and had some trouble off the field regardless. We would still have Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner, Mount and Havertz who can play wide and for some strange reason I see Willian staying even though I would have preferred Pedro to stay.

28 Jun 2020 04:44:23
I’m astounded how little slack CHO has gotten this season in light of his TORN ACHILLES. That’s generally a full year out (see RLC) .

I agree in that I would love for him to have a ton of time as he started to come into his own last year once he got consistent time. That said I don’t buy the notion that we’re swimming in depth.

Pulisic has shown he’s not a stranger to injuries, Werner will likely only play on the wing in emergency situations, Ziyech will be new to the league and have AFCON, Willian will be another year older if he stays, and Mount has almost never played wide this year and was absent when he did.

If city can justify keeping Sane, Sterling, Mahrez, and Bernardo on the same team then I think we should be able to make it work also.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2020 07:39:20
Maybe the interesting proposal was loaning CHO for a year as part of the package for Havertz?

28 Jun 2020 00:21:25
Ed2 is there a possibility that a player could go on loan to BL as part of any deal for Havertz. Will that be something Chelsea would consider? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to start answering arising from all of this nonsence.}

28 Jun 2020 10:52:12
Fair enough of Ed2. Tbf to the poster he did say 2+2 = 10. Its caused a bit of a conversation here, but I'm sure deep down everyone knows it's not true. Thanks anyway mate.

Don’t know what you are talking about, CP, Olive or Doris or Barbara or whatever her nom de guerre is clearly a lifelong friend (and maybe former romantic interest? ) of G8, who risks her employment and maybe even life (who knows how Roman deals with spies?! To feed our hunger for rumours.

The very idea that you would say that this brave, selfless woman is mere fiction shakes me to my core and makes me lose faith in humanity. This woman should be applauded, yet you question her existence?

G8, next phone conversation tell our cleaning heroine that most of us remain faithful to her snippets! We do not waiver in our faith!

There's been a couple of different reports in Spanish press, over last couple of days, regarding Kepa.

One was a sale to Atletico Madrid, which would involve us buying Oblak too. Not really buying into that one too much.

The other is a bit of a transfer merry-go-round. It basically involves Cillessen being sold by Valencia to Ajax, Ajax selling Onana to us and Kepa going to Valencia on a two year loan with option to buy.

Despite the many moving parts of the second story, I actually think that it's more believable than us signing Oblak - unfortunately.

27 Jun 2020 11:19:02
For me oblak is number 1 goalkeeper in the world. How many times I have watched A. Madrid this season he always impresses me.

27 Jun 2020 12:48:52
I think loan to buy is the only way we’ll find a buyer. I’m not a big fan of Onana even though he’s an improvement on Kepa.

I’d much prefer to see us sign either of Strakosha or Rajkovic.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 12:53:15
I think if the club sold Kepa they would want cash and not the loan to buy scenario. That is probably a big issue for us.

I think the club should buy the Ajax keeper Onana anyways and have two keepers after that no.1 spot until such time one proves to be the better player.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 13:59:33
Ed002, if kepa was to leave . Who would we look to bring in?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There was a lengthy list of options.}

27 Jun 2020 14:49:48
I’m not a Kepa at all but I’m not a fan of Onana either even though he’s better.

I’d like to see the club go after either Strakosha or Rajkovic. I’d prefer someone. 6’3 or over with a consistent save percentage and decent on the ball. Don’t after be great on the hall for me just decent. I like Strakosha and I think he’s outgrown Lazio now and it’s time he got a big move. One of the most underrated keepers in Europe. I’d rather see us try for a keeper this summer along with LB and leave CB till next summer. Goalkeeper is more important.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 16:42:21
I’d like to see us go after Donarumma of Milan. Has the size to cope with the prem and his distribution is a major upgrade on kepa’s. He’s got a ton of experience since he became Milan’s first choice keeper at 17 but is now roughly the same age Courtois was when he returned from loan. Financially Milan are in a tough position between C.V., lack of top end European football revenue, and the current owners trying to sell. On top of this Donarumma only has 1 year left on his contract.

As an aside the thing that makes me nervous about Onana is his involvement in the African Cup of Nations which would mean we lose him for a month every other year through the middle of the season. Most positions can stomach rotation like that but keeper is so stability based.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jun 2020 17:17:53
My only problem with Donnarumma is dealing with Raiola as his agent otherwise I’d want him. He’s only got less than a year on his deal also so could even get him on the cheap.

I agree on Onana you don’t want you’re best keeper missing a chunk due to AFCON. Not to bad with Ziyech going as we have Pulisic, Werner and CHO who can all play wide.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jun 2020 04:46:13
Sadly I think that the Raiola type agents are becoming the norm. Ed has mentioned Sancho’s agent being the hold up on a deal. At a certain point you have to play their game and accept the territory that comes with it.
