ed018 do you think if chelsea get pastore they will still pursue a deal for Modric? also avb seems to want a winger do you know of any wingers we have enquired for? {Ed018's Note - we've been over the winger situation many times on here. it seems unlikely to pursue modric if pastore signs for chelsea but i really have no idea what their plans are, so its hard to say.}

Has the interest in mata remained a watching brief ed002 and has the delegation returned to Europe from south america?thank you ed002 {Ed002's Note - Mata remains a watching rief. The guys from South AMerica arrive back in London tomorrow morning - via Denver and Chicago if it matters.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry ed002.is there a chance still with Neymar ed002? {Ed002's Note - I have to say probably not, but we maybe have to see.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed's - are Ramires and David Luiz already back at Cobham? {Ed002's Note - No, they are on vacation.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Thanks for replying. I wager that they'll be in for the Rangers match though, right? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea. They bought a package together. They will be back when they are back. £299 you are lucky to get anywhere.}

ED002 do you know what wages Aguero will roughly be on at man city? {Ed002's Note - A lot.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

200k per week. Source press. {Ed002's Note - Right, a lot. Marginally more that Ed001 gets.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently £152,000 after tax. Do the maths {Ed001's Note - that does not include bonuses as well.}

ed do u know if chelsea really want pastore
and if avb really wants him {Ed018's Note - they made a bid for him a while ago, and it looks like its between chelsea and psg, but at the same time, i have a hard time believing anything coming out of zamparini's mouth.}

ED018 OR ED002 How much have Chelsea Bid for Pastore? Reports are PSG have bid 42 million euros, Chelsea must be close to this figure where do you think he will end up? {Ed002's Note - I don't wish to discuss money but would suggest Palermo are looking for another bidder. Elese - 51/49% in favor of Chelsea.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

ED002 do you know if the Pastore move is being backed by AVB or roman's advisors? {Ed002's Note - I don't understand really.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What i meant was Does Villa Boas want Pastore has he said yes lets go for the player or are other people in the club pushing the move ? {Ed002's Note - It is way more complicated than that. AVB is party to what is happening.}

Hey Ed , Some Sources say that Adam Johnson will sign for Chelsea This Summer , And Malouda will go the other way. Do You think this could happen? {Ed018's Note - i dont see why City would want Malouda but fine they can take him and i'll gladly have Johnson. I think City will be reluctant to sell him to Chelsea though

Believable2 Unbelievable5

I don't rate Johnson much (other than he's a Brit), but I would gladly swap him for Maloser.

ed018, Why in the hell are Chelsea letting a player like Sergio Aguero slip through there fingers and go to a major rival? I'm sorry but Chelsea are not showing any kind of commitment to improving the current squad by adding quality players {Ed018's Note - City was willing to pay Aguero's outragoues wage demands, Chelsea werent.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

So they'd rather keep players like Kalou Lampard and Malouda on the wage list instead yer I watched em today ed, the score line flattered us. No creativity what so ever and talk about boring What is going on

Agree0 Disagree0

Its pre season, chill out Rumour has it Aguero wanted 250K a week, none of our players are near that sum and we didnt want to pay it. I am a huge fan of Aguero and would love him at the club, but not at the expense of some form of wage structure Man City are insane, and can throw money around like its going out of fasion, we are more prudent, and the siginigs will come, so calm the hell down.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's great that we've told Aguero where to put his wage demands - it's about time we started acting like a 'proper' club.

Herewith quote from Leonardo, PSG manager, made around 4-30pm regarding Pastore..
On the occasion of the presentation of the new purchase of PSG, Milan Bisevac, Leonardo said: "With the youngsters who have already arrived (Gameiro, Menez Matuidi) and the signatures of Douchez and Bisevac, we've already taken five important players. But at the moment we still lack a goalkeeper. Covering that role has become our priority ". That box has been almost ticked, because PSG have reached an agreement with Palermo for Salvatore Sirigu. PSG are however not talking to Palermo about Pastore. Leonardo admitted: "It is true that I have a good relationship with the president of Palermo, but all clubs would players like Pastore, Sanchez, Ganso, Hazard and Neymar. We work on the possibilities we have, but we want to bring in players who believe above all in our project. I've been here ten days, we are on track. "

{Ed002's Note - As I have said so many times, do not blieve everything you read and see in interviews.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Quite right ..PSG have agreed a fee along with us at least according to Sky.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know PSG are now exteremely wealthy but cmon this is not Barca or Madrid we are talking about here, so if Chelsea are unable to persuade the lad to join us over them then somethings a bit wrong. Fingers crossed we get him, but Italian media is all pointing towards a move to PSG.

Agree0 Disagree0

He may not want to come to England, i think that might be working against us, and what might give PSG the edge, although i would still like to think we are the more attractive prospect.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love Pastore but he doesn't really want to come to uk. We shouldn't buy any player unless they are totally committed and excited about coming to Chels.

Agree0 Disagree0

thank you for the answer on pastore, would that be contract, or the fact chelsea are more prestigous {Ed002's Note - I don't understand the question?}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Ed002 I think he wants to know why chelsea might have the slight edge over PSG in the pastore race {Ed002's Note - Tough to say as I gues you realise.}

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 16:44:37
Hi Ed002

Who do you think pastore at the moment is more likely to move to? Chelsea or PSG?

Thank you very much :) {Ed002's Note - It would be a guess, and I would not be surprised to see it dragged out a bit longer, but I would suggest that Chelsea gave the edge - but perhaps only just.}

27 Jul 2011 16:13:56
ED002 With Anelka and Mikel not being used that much in pre season games is it likely they both will be sold? {Ed002's Note - I expect Anelka will move on but he needs to find a club that suits him and I understand it is not proving easy. Mikel is an odd one and it will be down to how the new manager wants to use him. IT strikes me that there may be specific games, or types of games where he would be useful, but it is hard to see him starting many. At the moment I think he may stay.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Mikel has played a part in every game in pre season havent you been watching?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey, I'm an Arsenal fan and if you don't want Anelka then I would gladly take him, he could still get you 15-20 goals if played correctly

ED002 Palermo's president just said on italia that he will only speak about pastore after the sale of the player ans said the deal is closing now its a matter of hours are we the club he is moving to? {Ed002's Note - Why do you believe anything he says? The clubs interested are Chelsea and PSG - nothing has changed ove the past few hours that I know of.}

Looks like the price will be a problem once again if we wanna get modric. So I guess that's why Chelsea would rather splash the cash on pastore. Looks unlikely that we will end up with both

Believable4 Unbelievable1

27 Jul 2011 14:36:05
Chelsea will sign modric, pastore , a. johnson and lukaku before the transfer window closes. Youth is what we need , , we have a strong and experienced squad, blending in the new signings will simply be "future for CHELSEA".

Believable4 Unbelievable13

I do hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea will probably now only buy either Modric or Pastore seeing as the price for Modric is just too high now. Hopefully Chelsea will see sense and push for Pastore, he is better value for money and a better player

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be very happy with those signings

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson would be cheap...and a great signing, pastore and johnson

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard a johnson to have dicipline issues ... but i dont mind him as a winger

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget Modric ...overated. But the others will do just fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I don't believe the club thinks we need that many players. I do, and so do the majority of Chelsea fans I have spoke to. But for some reason the club think that by keeping players like Lampard, Malouda and Kalou will be enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is right, of course we have to keep keep Lampard, letting him leave now would be stupid.

ED002 porto say Hulk have rejected a bid for 70 mil for Hulk any idea which club bid this? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry. If pushed to guess I would say Anzhi.}

Ed...Its being reported in France that Pastore is going to PSG.Have you any idea if this is true?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Well PSG is the other viable option to Chelsea at the moment, but I suspect that no decision has yet been made.}

Believable1 Unbelievable8

27 Jul 2011 11:06:33
Why are we sitting back and watching city snatch aguero.ED do you think it would be to late for us to make a last ditch attempt to sign him.Not only would we be getting a striker he can also play out wide or as a CAM.I think we need some players blessed with pace {Ed002's Note - I suspect it is not something the club are willing to do.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Aguero is a world-class footballer. If he does sign for City I expect him to be a massive success. I for one would love to see him at Chelsea, but considering his wage demands I will understand if we don't move for him. Doesn't mean I won't be hugely disappointed though

City will be very dangerous next season, especially if by some miracle Tevez doesn't leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 10:51:02
Since aguero is on english soil we should do what Man City did to us in the past regarding robinho... It would be nice to make a killer deal for aguero now as his quality and age is scarce in the market

Been told from a decent source that Harry rednapp has told Levy that modric should be allowed to leave but will not let this happen until spurs first do a deal with Scott Parker

Gooner Here

Arsenal linked with making a bid for Alex this morning. do you think anything would come of this? Would Chelsea be willing to sell? {Ed002's Note - Alex is likely to be sold this summer and did look Bayern Munich bound at one point. If Arsenal did make an acceptable bid, Chelsea would have no problem selling to them.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think this is a poor idea(to sale alex) his solid and very experienced.why cant we sale players who are of less quality (ferera, kalou, mikel) it makes no sense

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. Of all people I would like to see leave, Alex is on the bottom of that list. I def would not want to sell him to our north London rivals either, Bayern doesn't sound so bad

Hey Ed, are Chelsea still interested in Danielle De Rossi and have they ever made a recent approach for him? {Ed002's Note - An approach was made a couple of weeks ago by Chelsea and another was made by Manchester City. Roma responded that he was not for sale. I understand that they will be putting in the efforts to have him sign up to a new contract.}
