Ed?What's going on with papers saying higuain being our only target for up front, does this mean we're not interested in cavani anymore?also can you answer me this , who is our chief scout at the club and what's our policy on wages these days do we have a cap?cheers dudes Danny {Ed002's Note - I cannot explain what the "papers" are say as I have no idea what they are saying but perhaps you have misinterpreted something - I have no idea. Scott McLachlan heads up the international side of the scouting but ultimately everything that comes from the scouting network passes through Michael Emenalo. Additionally advice on player purchases is provided by advisors to the club - and a couple take much of the responsibility and carry significant influence. Wages are not a matter for discussion.}

In the recent past chelsea has been linked with defenders like subotic, matt hummels, gregory van der wiel. Ed, is chelsea likely to sign any or some of these players in summer?

Husseinm {Ed002's Note - I can't say that they are "likely" to sign.}

I have to say its quite sad that rami,bran and raul would miss the finals after working so hard to get there. UEFA have to change that rule its quite unfair and unreasonable .To begin with, not every team have an equally difficult path to the final. There is almost always a Group of Death in any round-robin competition, while other top sides might have a far simpler group to manoeuvre. Similarly, in the knockout phase, some group winners are more fortunate than others. It goes without saying that a team involved in contentious, highly-charged matches will be more likely to earn yellow cards, and therefore, more likely to accrue multiple suspensions.
Consider the tie between Munich and Real Madrid, a clash of the titans that was bound to see plenty of yellow waved at both teams. Previously, the Germans had faced Manchester City, Napoli and Villarreal in Group A, and later a Basel side that had previously eliminated United. Heading into the semi-final, several Bayern players were walking a tightrope to avoid suspension.
By contrast, Real Madrid encountered a far more negotiable trio of Lyon, Ajax and Dinamo Zagreb in the group stage. CSKA Moscow and APOEL followed before the Bayern tie: neither of the former were worldbeaters, and with all things considered, the Spanish giants were fortunate to have avoided the perennial heavyweights - and the inevitable bookings that come against such opposition - before the semi-finals. Mourinho's men were, for the most part, safe from suspension, and would have had a full-strength team had they made the final against us. Just think UEFA should consider the suspensions cause as I said its unreasonable to suspend players who have played over 12 difficult matches to play what would be the matches of most their careers. Sorry for the long post just something I had to get of my chest. P.S not just saying this cause I'm a chelsea fan mostly cause it would be nice to see two strong teams battle it out. ELI

Hi Ed, is there any genuine interest in Higuain? {Ed002's Note - Yes, together with Juventus and PSG.}

Aparently in the region on £35mil which is ridiculous. He could be good in the prem though. I say we bid £20mil for him.

I really hope we Dnt get pep as our new manager next season. Roman really needs to come out and say that we not interested cos this could course problems for our big games ahead! How must Robbie feel, doing wot many ppl thought was the impossible! Then hearing this! Robbie is the man for the job a Chelsea legend and that's wot I want in charge of my team! I could win things at barca, pep didn't make that team it was already there,and that us chelsea fans must relise!

Come on Roman give Robbie the job! its the right thing to do!

..miracle and no further. one step at a time and when summer comes he will worry about becoming the full time manager. the best way he can do that is to win.

Gotta back Robbie all the way! He a Chelsea boy and 100% right man for the job

I think pep has done a fantastic job at barca! The style was already there but you can't say he's not a good manager because the guy is a genius. He is a decent tactician and he can manage big players! Lionel messi for example: 4 years ago a player with potential, now best player in the world! That's partly down to pep! I am a Chelsea fan and I hate barca but I wouldnt mind if he was a new manager but I'm with u guys, give robbie the job :)

Will you stop judging managers from a few months run? RDM didn't all of sudden become a great manager mate. It was the same with AVB where from just one year in charge of Porto everybody concluded he is a great manager. Great managers like Pep and Jose win things year in year out.

ED002 With Guardiola expected to announce tomorrow that he will not renew a deal to be the Barcelona coach and that he will take a break from football,Would Chelsea consider him as a possible new manager if they decide Di Matteo is not the right man? {Ed002's Note - Yes they would but the feeling is he might want to take a year off.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

ED has anyone from Chelsea approached Guardiola's representatives at any time? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have a confirmed interest in Guardiola but at this time Chelsea have a manager and he should be allowed to get through the rest of teh season when, no doubt, there will be consideration of teh way forward.}
