Chelsea to sign Paul pogba {Ed002's Note - They looked at him in January, but no.}

Believable0 Unbelievable8

I dont rate him 1 bit

A lot of people putting teams on for next season and David luiz is not in most of them.So would I be right in saying sell him to barca £30m.After all Gary Cahill has shocked me,I didn't think he was that good until I watched him every week for Chelsea.The guy is a class act.

Believable4 Unbelievable20

Luiz should stay hes needed decent player will adapt to prem soon and qaulity penalty last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right about Cahill much better than i thought as well. But for me Luiz is awesome, quick, 2 footed and can head, ok he will always make the odd howler but when he gets more experience he could be the worlds best. JT wont go on for ever and Ivan is a better Rb than a CB in my opinion so dont think it will be too long to see Luiz and Cahill as the 1st choice partnership

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2012 16:25:02
Will we be replacing every player which leaves the club in this window or will we look towards the youth if the club thought they were good enough to step up {Ed002's Note - As ever, a mix.}

ESPN reporting Abramovich has decided to offer RDM a 1 year contract, is this true ED? {Ed002's Note - It is very likely but there is nothing certain about acceptance.}

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Hi ed do you have any idea if RDM will accept or is he likely to want more than a 1 year deal? {Ed002's Note - As I said an inch or so above - "nothing is certain about acceptance".}

I've never really been impressed w/Hulk but he just scored an impressive screamer a few yards outside of the box against Denmark...was actually watching the match to get a look at Moura.

edison

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Hulk scores a 2nd goal...would definitely make a nice right winger...at the right price of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Moura look any good? {Ed018's Note - Moura has been a bit quiet in this first half}

Agree0 Disagree0

Quiet for 2nd half as well

IMO the most important signings for us are a RB (as we don't have one atm, Ivanovic wants to play CB, and I'm fairly sure the prospect of playing RB all season will not appeal to him), and a Right winger, as again we do not have a natural right winger, Ramires played there under RDM but he is a CM.

Other signings for me should be one or two more attacking mids (depending on whether Malouda is staying), and another CM/DM if Essien goes.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

We have signed Marko Marin from Werder Bremen. He is a natural right winger and i expect him to slot into the first team. On top of this we have Sturridge, Ramires and potentially Hulk who can play there so we should be good in this position come next season

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2012 13:46:14
ed what is going to happen with essien and mallouda, have they been told they can leave and do chelsea want to sell them and ferreira {Ed002's Note - I am not aware if anything has been concluded yet but I expect that Essien will be offered an extension, and the other will be made available. Subject to purchases theey could end up staying.}

hey ed. aussie chelsea fanatic once again. with the fifa club world cup coming along it is a showcase of chelsea vs athletico. i was wondering if courtois will be able to play against us. i will presume that he wouldnt but i thought that it is a huge experience gainer for him and want to know if you think that chelsea will let him play....

cheeers {Ed002's Note - The Super Cup and Club World Cup are different things. The Super Cup will be played in Monaco on August 31 - if it is a non competitive game he can play. But I have no time to check. The Club World Cup is in Japan in December.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As there is decent prize money (last year the winners had $2.5 million) I doubt that he will be allowed to play. {Ed002's Note - That would not be a deciding factor and I am sure an exemption could be requested - and Chelsea would certainly not object.}

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2012 12:26:11
Unlike Hazard and other undecided Chelsea targets; Hulk has claimed that he would like to come to us, and we are starting more indepth talks with him and his club. Perhaps the first signing of the window, on the horizon... {Ed002's Note - The talks with Porto ended more than a week ago as I explained. There ws no agreement on price.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Are we likely to go back with a different price/deal or have we moved on to other targets? {Ed002's Note - We will see if perhaps Porto might reconsider their desires.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Marin was our first signing of the window

ED with Hazard in London during next week for the friendly with England will Chelsea use this as a chance to speak to the player? {Ed002's Note - Why?}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Because we want to sign him ED? {Ed002's Note - In order to sign a player the two clubs have to reach agreement on the transfer fee. Why would it be any different with Hazard. And have you thought that perhaps not everybody at Chelsea wants to sign Hazard.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Then when will this Person let Chelsea know whether they have his permission or not? Can he not try and talk to the player to iron these issues out? {Ed002's Note - We will see what happens but nothing has changed as far as he is concerned and I would have thought that Hazard's recent behavior would not have helped matters.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea should not even sign this kid he would be disruptive in the dressing room going on how arrogant and childish he has been over the last 6 months. I would much rather see a player such as Hulk who has seemingly expressed a desire to play for Chelsea.

hi ed
all this talk about hazard do you honestly see him coming to us?
also neymar would be the perfect number 11 for us with him and torres up front
what would be the major stumbling blocks of going for neymar?
and are they the same with going for moura?
thanks ed

Ed, will all loaned out players come back from their respectives clubs, even if they are going back out on loan to the same club e.g. Coutrois?

PR! {Ed002's Note - Yes, everyone will return if only for an assessment and talks.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Won't Bruma stay at Hamburg, because his loan has been extended already. {Ed002's Note - No, there is an assessment for insurance purposes and paperwork that needs to be done if nothing else.}

Hey Eds, first off again thank u for the hard work put on this site.
Was Marin transfer to Chelsea quickly done coz of increased interest from Roma (i heard a bid was made by them) or Marin was already a transfer target for this summer and Chelsea wanted to wrap up things early.

Cheers,
J. {Ed002's Note - There was interest from other clubs ensuring Chelsea made a bid, yes.}

I think Chelsea should go for Arjen Robben instead of this wavering Hazard. He's got better experience, has pace, a fine footballer too and will be willing to come to Chelsea. Plus, for his age will be alot more cheaper and will achieve same result if not better than Hazard. Or, what do you think guys?

Believable3 Unbelievable14

I actually don't think he will be willing comeback. Agree e would be great buy but don't think it's possible.

BTJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree iv posted about this all ready but everyone jus hurls abuse at u for mentioning it

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought we needed someone to assist Torres not want all the glory for himself.
Cfcmatt

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be a poor investment, how long do you think Robben has left in top flight football in comparison to Hazard? It's clear to all footy fans that Robben is operating at his optimum level while Hazard has room for growth, more years of service to offer and not to mention resale value. It really doesn't need a scientist to decide which is the safer bet

Agree0 Disagree0

To old for us now, we need a rejuvenation. Plus Hazard is more versatile in where he can play.

Agree0 Disagree0

He just signed a new deal before the champions league final,

Carefree

Agree0 Disagree0

Think as he has just signed new contract for the price we would have to pay I think going for the younger player in hazard would be best option, I love robben and think he is brilliant but hazard will become one best in world

Alright Ed, great job! Is there any interest in Pedro as he seems not to be in Barcas plans and I think they would be willing to sell as they need money. I think Pedro would be great for us as he's just what we need and he proved last night that he's still got it {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

hi ED
have chelsea got any serious interest in neymar?
also do you think we will go back in for lucas?
seems we want to try and build a team of lucas' {Ed002's Note - We will see more clearly what happens in Brazil during June.}

26 May 2012 09:57:08
Ed are chelsea still interested in Joao mountinho {Ed002's Note - Rumours persist of Moutinho moving to Chelsea if they would pay the 30M euros required but realistically it is unlikely to happen.}

26 May 2012 09:37:00
Are Chelsea still in the race for signing Neymar ?

LOLZZZ {Ed002's Note - Race?}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

No race for neymar. but chelsea should go for giulllispe rossi from spanish club virraeall {Ed002's Note - Never going to happen.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If chelsea are going to enter a race for Neymar, I hope we don't sent Ron Gourlay, he doesn't look like he'd be too quick over a 100 metres
Kenny.

26 May 2012 09:34:29
its not just wikipedia saying it but all the papers saying it that chelsea have agreed personal terms with Hulk really don't know why the club hasn't said anything about any of these "rumors"? {Ed002's Note - You seemingly don't understand the difference between personal terms and a transfer fee. It is the transfer fee that is not agreed.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

26 May 2012 09:09:59
u guys are forgetting someone.......the cheapest and the best of the lot....shinji kagawa.....only around 20m....go for him chelsea!!!

i dont think any player playing outside england, spain, germany, italy or portugal should get a valuation of more than 30m.....its only because they would be untested against quality opposition!!

that is why i say again...go for kagawa!!

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Dont go for kawaga from dortmund go for honda from cska moscow

Have chelsea shown interest in Thiago Silva to partner David Luiz at the back? I know AC Milan have made their stance clear, but I wanted to know of any interest as he is an outstanding talent. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Please do your best to make sure hazard doesnt come to chelsea. He is such a cocky chap and hes not that good anyways.

Question for ed,

If a player is on loan e.g. courtois at atletico( provided he stays) is he allowed to play agaisnt us if we versed the loan club in a match? Is this a rule implemented by fifa or is it a agreement between the parent club and loan club? Im thinking about the european super cup.

jono {Ed002's Note - No, he cannot play in a competitive match. The European Super Cup may be classed as a friendly though so I am not so sure with that.}

Loan thoughts

I would really like to see KDB go on loan to atletico madrid as well as courtois return there as well. Also so, it seems likely that lukaku will go on loan to a german side which would be good for him, but i would prefer him to go to a team like reading, southampton. He would get more playing time there as well as getting big game experience against the likes of man u, man c as well as getting mid table experiece against the likes of swansea, norwich and liverpool. If piazon is going on loan it will have to be to a very weak side as he has little or no first team game time. Im not sure if kakuta will cut it for chelsea, so mabey he should go back to dijon for another season loan. Mceachran should eaither stay with us and be used in the same way torres was, ( Starting on the bench then coming on for 30 minutes and get 9 or 10 starts. The other alternative is obviously a loan to a weaker side. He would have picked up some valuable lessons from swansea, but he needs game time. I'm not sure where he should go because of what happened with swansea.

I know this is not every body, but add in a name if i have missed someone big.
