Hey Ed, are the reports about us keeping an eye and possibly making a bid for Leighton Baines in the summer true? Thanks

WelshBlue7 {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest.}

Thanks Ed!

I would love Leighton Baines at Chelsea. Bertrand just doesn't cut it for me.

Before we signed Hazard, you were saying that someone at Chelsea, had a problem with his attitude. What attitude was that exactly?
Russ {Ed002's Note - There were two things, one he would leave the stadium after being substituted, and more significantly, he spoke constantly to the press about his future. He had to give assurances to the club that would stop otherwise the transfer would have been blocked.}

Fair enough. For once I respect the board in their attitude. We don't need any bad eggs.

We still signed him.

Ed002 with De Bruyne telling the club he does not want to make cameos off the bench and wants to be a starter when he returns, has their been interest from PL clubs to take him on loan? I know a lot can change between now and the summer, but had clubs shown interest before his Werder move?

Cheers {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of EPL club interest - and it seems far to early for that to be considered by most clubs.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Have you seen the way he's been playing?

Ed002, u've said on several occasions that u're sure it's Arsenal that will miss out on Top4, do u still maintain that opinion? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

We shall see, but I'll very confidently doubt u on this one. Arsenal will get Top4, as will Spurs.

There's confidence for you lol

If he became available would Chelsea be intrested in Robben, if not which other clubs would?

Believable2 Unbelievable11

I will answer for the Ed: As stated for the last 3 years. ROBBEN WILL NOT RETURN

Chelsea have started talks with Southampton over £10mil deal for 17 year old left back Luke Shaw, the deal would see Shaw loaned back to Southampton imediately.

I hope that's true. A ready replacement for Cole after next season.

Agree1 Disagree0

Completely agree basics. By the time cole is gone shaw will be a bonafide full back. Keep on mind this would be at the age of 19.

Agree1 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense. No benefit to Saints or Shaw and we don't need the money. We can see what Bale is worth if we could have afforded to hold onto him. We can afford to do that with Shaw so don't get carried away.
Would this be the same Shaw who could be read on the Saints WS a few weeks ago saying as soon as he turned 18 he would be signing a full contract with Saints?

Don't expect you guys to do that sort of research but perhaps the media "persons" should!

Agree0 Disagree1

Just like its nonsense that 1 of every 10 of his tweets is about CFC. As much fun as I'm sure he's having fighting against relegation I'm sure he'd have more fun fighting for trophies.

Agree1 Disagree0

The only 2 things in your favour with this deal is that, as everybody already knows, Shaw is a Chelsea fan and that Saints have another left sided young full back, Matt Taggart, who will shortly be pushing Shaw for his place. Suggest you, and the Daily Fail, do some research on our Chairman, Cortese and the comments made by Shaw when you were expressing interest in the last window. For starters you will have to at least double that offer.

Fighting for what trophies Tk?

Would that be for the trophy for the club who tries to buy up all the best young talent but then decides they are not good enough for their first team so loans them all out?

Or would it be for the trophy that is for the most money wasted on managers?

Or would that be the trophy for the club who pays stupid money for players who are past their sell by date?

I think you will find Shaw recognises the stability and opportunity at Saints and will certainly be there for next season, at the very least.
