Do you know if Chelsea have tried to have discussions with Juve to use Matic as a possible swap deal for Sandro? . Apparently there have been talks for him to move to Juve again so it'd make sense to try. wouldn't be surprised if they've already said no to it but i hope we wouldn't sell to them if they're determined not to sell us Sandro. Appreciate all the work you've done guys as well.

I don't Think we should be reluctant to sell Matic to them, simply because they don't want to sell Sandro. Sandro is their first choice, whereas Matic isn't our first choice any more. Besides, they play in an other league - thus we would'nt be Selling to direct rivals. They're by far The Best option.

Agree that would far prefer Matic at Juve, if we have to sell him (and our squad still looks thin) than at United, possibly assisting their challenge for EPL.

Matic doesn't want to move to Italy. He wants Mourinho reunion but even that is becoming questionable (if you have read what Mourinho said about his talk with Woodward about transfers) .

No doubt the board would likely prefer him to move to Juve JBS, which is why I'm curious if the board have tried to use him in a deal for Sandro. If not then I'd assume we'd ask for more from United than Juve given they're a rival. And after watching the Bayern game it's no suprise Conte has said the team still needs new players with Sandro likely being a big priority.

He'd only prefer United move if you believe all the press. Surely you all remember his relationship with Mourinho was one of the poor ones by the end of 15/ 16 season, he wasn't playing regularly anymore. His position in the first team's starting 11 was almost reaffirmed last season when we won the league under Conte. In my opinion he'd command a starting place at both United and Juve but we'd be better served if he wasn't playing at a club that's directly competing with us for the league. If he returned to his pre 15/ 16 form, he's the difference between a 1-0 win and dropping a sloppy goal in a hard fought game for a 1-1 draw, which I'm sure you all know, United suffered from a lot last season.

Yes, LondonBlues90, makes sense that Matic might be part of discussion with Juve and getting Sandro would be a big contribution to necessary strengthening of squad.

Behave yourself Ryan. WIllian was mentioned by a poster asking if anyone thought he would be a good buy, Neymar has never been an option. Matic is, but £50M for someone who is not first choice is just silly. I think Jose will look elsewhere, there's plenty about at a lot less money than that.

With matic you get a proven prem winner who is pals with your manager. he's worth 50m. And he obviousy doesn't feature in our plans.
You won't get willian he is not for sale.
Make the most of the coming season its joses 2nd. After that your club will need rebuilding from the curse of joses 3rd season when the toys exit the pram.

It's combination of Mourinho and greedy agent ( the same as Lukaku case) . The price set by Chelsea doesn't got Man Utd plans, so don't get surprised if player signs new contract with Chelsea at the end.
