Ed002 have you heard anything about Porto moving for Vagner Love? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Lol This site is now called "Porto Rumours".

Ed's in regards to Aguero is it simply personal terms (I.e wages etc) which will determine where he ends up this summer? {Ed002's Note - Obviously there is soime consideration of the club but primarily it is personal terms that sets Manchester City aside from the rest.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Thanks, so Aguero will probably hold out for the highest bidder and won't be necessarily fussed if he ends up in Manchester or London? {Ed002's Note - Probably, unless there are any late bidders or little twists.}

hello ed,
2 questions for you :)

1) If neymar does join real madrid, (which is looking likely because of sanchez) could that influence di maria situation in your opinion?

2) Is there any interest in eden hazard, a 22million evaluation is nothing for the ligue1 player of the year?

thanks, and thanks for putting up with us idiots. {Ed002's Note - (1) It is nothing to do with Neymar but depending on who Real Madrid buy could impact what happens with Di Maria. (2) Not as far as I know at this time. There were enquiries a while back.}

Ed, earlier you made a post about the club not focussing on alternatives should main targets not be signed and so would be content with what we have. Can you clarify main targets? Would you say pastore, Scott Parker and modric are? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to speculate on the things I know nothing about (Modric and Parker). So, off the table are Eriksen and Sanchez. Open offers but not improved exist for Pastore, Aguero, Neymar, Lukaku, Fernando. Situation unknown to me de Bruyne (he does not want to go on loan), Van Der Weil. Much will depend on who leaves. Lucas arrives in January. Interest is maintained in several players who do not seem to be for sale (Mata, Di Maria and probably others I cannot recall) Off the top of my head that is all I can think of, so if I have forgotten anyone don't get upset, because eventually you will piss me off, I'll ban you, your social standing will be gone and your neighbors will mock you.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thanks Ed2, that one actually made me laugh.

There have been a rise in rumours lately that Chelsea are interested in Adam Johnson. Makes sense, would play on the right which is an area we are lacking, even mire so if ed2 is correct and anelka leaves. Also he is home grown. So someone on a Chelsea forum claims to know him personally and has been told he is aware of chelsea's interest. Can anyone comment?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Man City may spend a lot of money on players but I don't think they are dumb enough to sell anybody to Chelsea, Man U, or Liverpool. Mancini must have an awful big ego though because he plays Balotelli plenty but Johnson found chances few and far between. He seems to only want to stick with the players he himself has targeted/signed.

EDS: Anything changed with di maria yet like real madrid contacting Chelsea over his avalbility? {Ed018's Note - no, and probably wont unless Madrid bring in some new players}

ed 0002 please dont take this the wrong way but is there a reason you are happy to speculate on the liverpool rumours but when it comes to chelsea you give us donuts?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - I have tried to give you the best information that is available. If I speculate I get leapt on with statements like "you said we were signing Hazard" or whatever. Given the inordinate amount of grief I get anyway, I suspect that it will be less rather than more from now on.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Don't let this fool scupper the great work you guys do on this site. And to whoever wrote this - you are probably the main reason why there isn't as much speculation from the Ed's. I wouldn't be vociferous either if I repeatedly get shot down. Keep up your valued voluntary work Ed's.

Ed002, most of us fans at variuos forums and pundits alike agree on right winger being the weakest spot at starting 11. To me the best option for right flanknis Hulk. Do you know if we are interested and if not might you know who are the other optionx for the right side? {Ed002's Note - Kakuta has yet to return and Sturridge has been playing there. Hulk is keen to stay at Porto and has signed a new contract with a valuation of 100M euro to try and keep folks away.}

Ed have you heard anything on a bid in the region of 40 million being made for pastore from psg?thanks {Ed018's Note - yea ive heard they made a bid, but its been known for a bit they were interested}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

25 Jul 2011 18:02:16
Hey Ed, is there any truth that Steven Defour will be on his way to Porto? Possibly freeing up a transfer for Moutiniho to leave. {Ed002's Note - He may well go to Porto, but the rest is just conjecture and speculation.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jul 2011 17:56:56
Hey Ed, are Chelsea still interested in Porto's Fernando to fill the void left by Essien or will they use what they have in Mikel, Ramires and the imminent signing of Oriol Romeu? {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Essien. Interest pre-dates the injury to him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Thanks Ed, but will Chelsea make a move for him some time in the window? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have made an approach and been rebuffed. Perhaps two weeks ago.}

ED are we showing any intrest in falcao still or hulk as both would be great signings.Also is it just me who thinks this:
We are pinning our hopes on a striker who has scored 2 goals in 23 games for us, maybe we need to count our loses and look to sell Torres.I really hope he comes good but you can only put up with him for so long.Falcao, drogba, hulk what a strike force that would be.Defence and goalkeeper is solid.Add Modric or pastore to midfield with ramires and essien/lampard and where sorted. {Ed002's Note - An offer was made for Falcao a while back but he has since signed a new contract and expectations from Porto are higher. I understand that their also interest in him from Spain.}

Read a post somewhere, that there is a plan to help Rajkovic to apply for dual Dutch citizenship, while loaning him to Vitese this year again (if we can't get him to PL). Next year he would have spent 5 years in Holland, making hm eligible. Do you know anything about this?

Also - i know you consider kids being kids, and not that significant at first team affairs, which is fair, but have you heard of any plans for Kalas kid, who is with the first team now? {Ed002's Note - AVB is looiking at a number of the kids but I am really not hip to what he is thinking about them. I have no knowledge of what is planned about Rajkovic.}

With pastore hopefully becoming Chelsea player, who else are we planning on bidding for. Hope it's mata or di maria, good wide player, and would Porto take anything less than there release clause. Maybe 35 mil?

25 Jul 2011 14:47:18
Ed thanks 4 your reply, i can see on wall time2time talking about pastore signing, is it close 2 chelsea signing?
2) As interest in Modric and Lukaku come 2 end? {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say Pastore is close as Palermo are difficult to deal with. I know nothing of any bids for Modric and Chelsea's position remains the same with Lukaku - the amount Chelsea are willing to pay is far short of what Anderlecht want.}

Hi ed. Keep up the good work. I think Chelsea should go for Di Maria pastore and lukaku. Sell kalouless anelka malouda zhirkov Alex . What do you think ed ?? {Ed002's Note - Always a chance.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

If there was ever a time i wished for Kalou to stay another season - it is this. Anelka should definitely be sold, i don't mind if we just release him to MLS for free. Same goes for Malouda and Zhirkov.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand how anyone would want to sell Zhirkov, yet keep Kalou... mind boggling.

ed whats the rule with this 17 foreigners thing
cos right now we only have space 4 1 foreigner but r we allowed to sign more foreigners now and get rid of players b4 we have 2 register them 4 pl {Ed002's Note - The club are only allowed to register 17 non homegrown players over 21 with the FA in SEptember and February. They can be bought before others are sold.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yh thought so so all this media rubbish bout us looking 4 hmegrown players now as cant fit
also ed is rajkovic considered homegrown {Ed002's Note - No. He has not been playing under the FA.}

ED, just a query,
we are in hunt for a creative play-maker and a good winger. isn't Kakuta on our plans ?
he is a wonderful player and still has many years to play. {Ed002's Note - Kakuta is still a Chelsea player, I don't understand your concern over him.}

Chelsea will probably sign Modric and Pastore. Maybe go for Mata and Turan.
Sturridge wont be leaving

Those are the four names i would love to see at chelsea......but we're talking close to 120 million for the lot.

Looks like we are
Finally getting close with Pastore. In my opinion we should just forget modric and go full force towards Pastore.

Does anyone know what pastore's personal choice is

Believable6 Unbelievable2

To stay in italy i believe

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe it's been said on here that he wasn't too keen on a move to England. But I'm sure the wages in store for him at Chelsea may sway him.

Agree0 Disagree0

From what i have read Italy is not an option to him, i think Palermo want him to leave the country if he is going anywhere, i might be wrong though, its just what i have read recently.

Ed002 - Ever since our interest is Modric came up - i watched a couple of his games and a few highlights. He is a really good player, great pace, vision, not bad at tackle either, considering his light frame, but then - i've wathed our friendly against Thai XI - our kid McEachran is just so alike. I was amazed when you watch both perform, how many comaprisons come up. So therefor i just hope we let our kid develop[ properly without buying his direct opponent for squad minutes.

Hi ed, what i mean by my question is that:
1) How sure you are about these following players, were they be in chelseafc in next season? Aneika, Malouda, Kalou, Ferera, Lampard, Bosingua, Mikel, Essien.
2) is there any assuarance that chelsea will sign pastore and winger before the beginning of this coming season? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - (1) I suspect Anelka will leave, Malouda has been told he may leave, Essien is injured, the others we don't know yet. (2) It is impossible to say the timings of when signings will happen.}

Chelsea needs a winger to play a flair football what do you known about buying any winger {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have enquired about Di Maria and have maintained a watching brief with Mata.}

Those both are a fine left sided players. This must suggest we are looking at a left side of our offense with wish to upgrade over the spot previously occupied by Malouda. ED-002 -You have said here before, he was told he can leave, which i believe is a wise suggestion. Same goes for Anelka, but given that Sturridge is a left footed forward, and the only other option for the right is Kalou - do you know of any particular player we would be looking for right side? (I assume the initial plan was Neymar, but this is a no go, as we speak).

{Ed002's Note - Neymar plays on the left primarily. Sturridge often plays on the right. Kakuta will return at some point. Perhaps AVB has other plans.}

{Ed002's Note - The latest view from the folks in Argentina (who are to return briefly to Colorado tonight before heading abck to Europe in midweek) is that Palermo know Chelsea's position and it should be their and the players hands to decide what to do. It was also said that there will not be alternate targets identified if those that have already been approached cannot be completed and the club will likely stick with what they have. There is no feeling whether or not Falcao or Fernando of Porto will be open to a move. Sanchez is off the agenda and the feeling is that no further efforts will be made for Aguero as Chelsea's position has been put on the table. But, there is nearly six weeks to run, so we will see.}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Thank you hopefully this will decrease the amount of times you will have to answer the same question over and over, but somehow I doubt it. Anyways I appreciate your work :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed. Well, lets just hope we get the kid, and that he turn to beagem, rather than his infamous compatriot Veron.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for taking the time to update us all on the situation so quickly Ed002.Now turn the damm coffee machine off and get some sleep. {Ed002's Note - I think we are likely at a position where the Pastore move is moving over the threshhold of being more rather than less likely. With the caveat that Palermo are very difficult to deal with. Knowing what AVB is like, I also would not be surprised to se one or two twists and turns related to transfers.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002, is it Pastore & Modric? Or if Pastore is signed will they pull out of trying to sell Mods? I know it's possible both will be bought, but what is your thoughts?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - The Pastore move is looking more rather than less likely. I don't know anything of any deal for Modric I am afraid Syd.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the update Ed, it lets us fans know that you are telling us what you know and not holding back on any info which some fans sometimes think.

Pastore looking likely and hopefully atleast another 1 or 2 first team players to freshen us up and tide us over til atleast January window

Agree0 Disagree0

I myself think that it will be either Pastore, or Modric. But not both. First of all both would cost roughly 80 million, and secondly i just can't see myself them both playing at the same time on the pitch. I would guess we are playing with three midfielders, when who is the odd man out? Lampard? Obi? Ramires, Yossi? Zhirkov? McE? Then we are getting Piazon in January and likely get Essien back sometime spring. It is just too crowded to be accompanied properly.

Hello everybody.

I hope i can clear things up about certain players.

Pastore- He is an outstanding talent. Palermo bought him for £19million. If Palermo sell him they wish to gather double is transfer fee. I cannot imagine there would be any problem negotiating

lukaku- As you would of heard AVB comments, this has not left the lips of the papers, and will not if we are still paying drogba's wages. There could be an option to buy and loan back only IF the Belgium club drop there price.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I thought Pastore was bought for 5M?

over the last few seasons our best players have been the older players cole, terry, lampard, drogba, malouda. now it seems that the team is gonna try and reduce the age of the squad. i no that you cant always rely on older players but youngsters like mikel kalou and sturridge havent been gd for the team when they have played and i dont think that we replace the olders yet.

Ed this isn't related to alex, but i was wondering what has to be done for rajkovic to earn a work permit, cos he has been at the club for 6 years... {Ed002's Note - I don't know any details I am afraid except that an application is pending for Rajkovic.}
