So within the last year as it stands we have signed:

Courtois
Cahill
De Bruyne
Mata
Romeu
Piazon
Lakaku
Davila
Meireles
Torres
Luiz

And at the moment we're linked with Willian, Higuain, Azpilicueta and Hazard. Thats not bad if we're being honest. If you look at how many are on the list, the quality of the players, and their age, then surely its got to make even the most negative of people realize things are not that bad.

There is a lot of people who are disagreeing with us going for de bruyne but let's face it he can't be as bad as malouda or kalou.Did anyone really think lampard would be as good as he has been when he first signed.Or Torres to be as poor for £50m as he has been.Lets give him a chance,he's young pretty quick and got a wicked left foot.Thats if we sign him

I reckon chelsea will sign de bruyne and hazard before the transfer window shuts, but de bruyne will either go on loan to genk or just be a player who comes off the bench against lesser teams. And i reckon this will be the main team for the rest of the season.

I asked earlier today if we are looking at anyone other than de bruyne, willian and hazard so if we were to sign de bruyne + 1 it would be from willian or hazard surely, because ed said that we werent looking at others, only cahill (who we've already bought). josh

I wonder if Hazard would like to play with his fellow countrymen? i.e. Lukaku, Courtois and De Bruyne. I think Chelsea should give Lille whatever they want and pay Hazard whatever he wants. He is a dynamic player with a lot of flair. This is exactly what we need.

Chelsea fans who believes that Chelsea's only signings are going to be Kevin De Bruyne and Cahill are fools.

Do you really think Abramovitch would be satisfied with that? At the end of the day, this is his club and his team.

When Abramovitch gets mad, he either:

1.) Sacks the manager

Or:

2.) Splashes out alot of Roubles

Needless to say, he WILL splash out alot of money.

For goodness sake, this time last year we were in the same position, and went and spent a cool £80 million on just two players! Samir

Put it this way we want to compete with the best knowing our players have a chance to walk into other big clubs around the world with ease. However de bruyne would struggle to make everton squad nevermind man city, real madrid etc We should be competing with such clubs and competing for champions league.

Debruyn is a good player to come on as a substitute i suppose.

You are clearly stuck in the world of football manager my team also has neymar hazard higuian hulk and rooney. Yet in real life clubs cant afford to pay 40 million plus for a player from france whos not proven maybe part from city which you will see reining in there spendin as no team can do it forever look at us. Besides who is to say de brynue is not going to be the said £40 million after playing for us for a year. We are doing the right thing by buying the best talent money can buy we just need to allow them to play now. Look at terry ronaldo , rooney struridge and countless other players that were given a chance to shine and exceled i trust avb and so should all you fantasy football players.

He's potential, what chelsea need is a ready-made first team player, at the level KD is on at the minute is far from what we need hence why i believe he'll be loaned out this season and possibly the next, clearly not ready hence the loan, you should get your story straight.

Out of the countless players only a few make it and especially in the premier league, Rooney and Studge are born and bred in this league, why is it surprising that they are taking to it? It's not about buying one player with a big name. Its about the club having a long term plan and buying the best players to fit that plan. Not just going into the sweet shop and say I want that and that and that because they look nice, then get home feeling sick because they didn't taste as good as they look.

Hazard will be a great signing. The guy is a genius. I'm in awe with david silva and hazard will be just as good. Can't miss out otherwise regrets.

You really have your story mixed up, The Bosingwas, Drogbas, Essiens, Mikels etc were all fully fledged internationals who were making waves even before joining us, not some kid looking to fulfil his potential. Would you say KDB is the same player as the Drogbas etc. before joining us? You can't be serious. Those players came for big money as were ready for the first team, KDB isn't or there won't be any talk of Loan if he was, he's in the same bracket as Lukaku not the Drogbas, Essiens etc. who were making waves in the european scene. Very poor example. Quality costs money.

Romeu is quality and he only cost £4.5m!

I disagree with some of the post above! KDB has some real potential and he is only 20! look at drogba he did not start making a name for himself till he was 24 in his first season at marsielle.

Romeu isn't just any other player, he comes from the La Masia state of art training facilities of the Best footballing club of this generation.

Hazard is certainly good enough but is a bit light weight even more so that mata and silva because they have a lower centre of gravity.
He is definitely more suited to wing work in the premier league like nani

Anyone who is doubtin de buyne, then you know nothin about football.....the guy is a mix of joe cole and rooney,hes only 20 and has a real chance of bein a legend at chelsea. great tricks,free kick specialist,fast,two good feet,and a great work ethic....if you dont know anythin about him..the dont post pointless comments...trust me blues fans..this guy is a really exciting signing. watch and see. i have know doubts at all. well done for gettin the man on the cheap.

Just a quickey regarding the posts above about buying all these players to go straight into the first team. the uefa fair play that chelsea are preparing themselves for means that you cant buy all these top players and pay their wages (cant exceed income), look at the wages we pay already (terry,drogba,lamps etc) the only answer is to buy young talent with a lower wage and HOPE to progress it into a top star thus keeping within new uefa rules. Flipping hate Platini hes only doing it cos Prems the best and he hates that FACT. {Ed002's Note - Chelsea's wages do not exceed income. However, Chelsea have been making a loss due to various other matters. Don't worry too much about the FFP rules just yet.}

Hi Ed, i regularly check this site daily for updates on transfer news and speculation and really respect your comments and inside info. I also check bleacherreport for nba news and chelsea news and was wondering if you had considered writing on the site? You dont have to be a journalist just someone who writes sensible articles and simple slide shows on anything chelsea, with your inside info and the sense you talk i really feel you could add something to the Chelsea page.

according to the mirror Chelsea had no interest in singing hazard this window,,,,is this true?? {Ed002's Note - There is no time limit on any move for Hazard. As stated on many occasions: "Unless an extraordinary bid matching the clubs valuation is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer."}

So what we have to do is wait and see. {Ed002's Note - The key point is that, like with strikers, there is interest but there are no time constraints being applied - meaning that the club will wait for the right players to become available to minimise adding to the squad just for the hell of it.}

Can i ask though Ed, An extrodinary bid matching there valuation, isnt their valuation going to be the same price in the summer? There not going to lower their asking price and couplke this with more parties going to bidding or enquiring for the player surely the price will go up. I no you have said the price of the player doesnt matter which if this is the case why not pay what the price is in January?? Otherwise where going to get into a Pastore situation again in the summer and im pretty sure the price will be around the same figure.
