Just watched MOTD and the analysis of Essein was spot on, Luiz can make his runs and Essein will drop back but also protect that back 4, Cahill looks a good pick up not only cause hes a good CB but AVB can play ivanovic at RB which helps our defense so much. We just lack a world class CAM in my opinion but that cant be resolved until the summer. Glad we got the 3pts and too some pressure off AVB, the team selection should also have made a few people happy on this site ha

100% agree! Essien did what Romeu was praised for doing earlier in the season, one of these two players have to start in that holding midfield role all season now.

Hey all

Just a few quick words about Marin:
I am from Germany and I watch him play week in week out and I have no idea why he is rated so highly in England and also Italy. He was injured and then dropped to the bench for quite some time until very recently. He's pacey alright but he doesn't offer anything more than what the Prem's top clubs already have in every regard. Most of his dribblings are dreadful, maybe beating one player but then he wants to take on 3 more, loses the ball and does nothing to recover it. Even the most loyal fans of his club Werder Bremen (and I know a few personally) are often annoyed with him trying to emulate Messi which he simply doesn't have the ability to. All in all I think he shouldn't be a target for the Premier League top clubs and with special regard to Chelsea he is at best a replacement for Kalou as a squad player for about 6m. Every penny more would be better spent on other players. He is definitely not, as often suggested, the first-team player that could potentially help us.

Do Chelsea still have a serious intrest in Lucas ocampos ed? {Ed002's Note - River Plate's Lucas Ocampos has been looked at by a number of sides with Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy and that seems to have ended any brief interest that Liverpool had. Inter Milan, Sevilla and Palermo have also shown an interest and Juventus (not either of the Milan clubs) made a bid. So a general interest but not serious.}

Ed, can you confirm if Sam Monjack and Charlie Colkett have gone to Barca from Chelsea, some websites saying the deals been completed while others saying the two clubs are still in talks. Thanks {Ed002's Note - They are still with the kiddies team at Chelsea.}

They were spotted in Spain, but even though the clubs are in talks they want to stay at Chelsea

Ed is there a problem with Romeu? I have been impressed with him all season yet over the past month he hasnt been played nearly as much as i believe he should, I think he is our no.1 DM.

Ed, what happened with mikels possible transfer?

ED002 is it because he had no intrest in joining anzhi or is it because he wants to fight for his place at chelsea? do you invisage him moving on in the summer? thanks
