Recently we have been linked with Paulinho. I understand he's a great player but we want him for the defensive midfielder's position to partner Ramires. But is he really a defensive midfielder ive heard he bangs the goals in isnt that to attacking because Ramires score goals from midfield as well as anyone.

Wouldnt we be better off with someone like M'Vila or Fernando.

I have said for a while Fernando would be my choice. Although as it seems the club have tabled a long term deal for Mikel, Paulinho could certainly be paired with him with Rami rested or playing together against weaker teams. He could also be used as cover on RW (Rami that is) although we all know he isn't suited to the role.

I think M'Villa attitude will be his downfall. I wouldn't expect us to make a move for him, while he has these issues. Does Chelsea hold interest in him Ed002?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Paulinho can play as both defensive and offensive, and he is very very good offensive aswell so he can actually be useful forward compared to Mikel.
That is one of the reasons i rate him very highly, if Ramires need a break he can just go forward instead and they could change around their position and confuse the opposition etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot this'' As he would be able to play offensive and defensive means he can take over for both Mikel/Ramires so we can rest them when we need too.. even tho i expect him to be first choise quite quickly over Mikel.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paulinho and Ramires would make a fantastic double-pivot. They both can tackle very well, they're both capable of scoring and both capable of creating a quick counter-attack

Ed, are there any clubs interested in isco? He looks a great prospect! {Ed002's Note - Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus and Spurs have shown an interest in Isco and he came close to a move to Dortmund, who may still follow up the matter. I suspect AC Milan might look to the player as well. There were rumours of interest from Real Madrid and Arsenal. Malaga want 21M euros but will likely accept 15M euros if they are forced to sell. I would suspect Juventus and Manchester City are best placed right now. A move in January is by no means certain.}

Hey ED, so is Ashley Cole definitely leaving at the end of the season or is there any chance he could still be a Chelsea player this time next year? thanks {Ed002's Note - Nothing is for sure.}

ED02 are the main targets for new player's Schurrle Paulinho and Falcao? {Ed002's Note - A number of strikers have been looked at, two of which are Falcao and Schurrle. Interest in Paulino remains from Inter MIlan, Chelsea, PSG, AC Milan and Juventus. Although Inter have baulked at the price being asked by Corinthians they did make a proposal that would have resulted in them only taking partial ownership and this was seemingly acceptable to the club but not the player. A move to CSKA Moscow was also rejected by the player who has declared that he does not want to play in Russia. With a large percentage of his rights held outside the club a move to Italy could be much easier to arrange than a move to England. In the short-term, I would doubt he will leave Corinthians just yet.}

How many strikers are we looking to bring in ED? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea will look to bring in two strikers but will not buy for the sake of it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED several reports we are interested in Cavani again but surely his new contract means he will cost even more then before? {Ed002's Note - Interest remains in Cavani.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like it could be another busy summer at chelsea then ED {Ed002's Note - The summer is still a long way off. The January window comes first.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed are we looking for two strikers in january and also are w looking for a defender in january {Ed002's Note - Chelsea are looking for players but will not be forced in to buying in January if the players wanted are not available.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed is bony one of them targets {Ed002's Note - Wilfried Bony was of interest to Newcastle over the summer and has been a player Chelsea have been considering for a while. Right now there is varying degrees of interest from Aston Villa, QPR, Liverpool, Everton and a couple of German sides. It would not be a surprise to see interest from other teams, but that is all there is at this time. The player has said he would like to join Chelsea.}

ED02 will the club seek a replacement for Lampard when he leaves? {Ed002's Note - The club has plenty of cover already in that area.}

Hi Ed, do you have any ideas as to why Chelsea are so willing to let Lamps and Cole go on a free this summer? Or why they do not want to sign a new contract? Cheers {Ed002's Note - Time comes to move on. They will not be offered long term contracts and short term contracts will not be something they would necessarily find attractive.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I can understand why we're content to let Lampard go - legend that he is, but Cole is still up there with the best in the business and largely stays fit. I know Bertand's coming through, but he's no Cole. I'd give him the 2 years that he apparently wants and keep him. He's still only 31.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but according to our leader --both past it sell by date me personaly cole goes when terry goes lamps maybe got another season but some may not want him then go now lamps and get a great deal you deserve it
