Hey Ed, any chance of Chelsea making a swoop for Madrid misfit Karim Benzema btw his price tag has dropped. {ed's note - there is every chance, in my opinion, that Chelsea will make a bid for him if the price is right.}

Hey Ed, do you think that we Chelsea fans should forget about Neymar or is there some hope of him signing? {ed's note - unless the price drops he won't be joining by the looks of it.}

Chelsea Rumours
Chelsea need depth and should sign players for all parts of the squad i.e def, mid and attk. They should release Ferreira and sign a new right back in the form of Van der Wiel and resolve the contract situation of Bosingwa and Ivannovic. They could also opt to sign a center back mainly Hangeland, Cahill or Mexes and switch Ivannovic to right back.

For midfield we need a deep lying playmaker because Mikel does not contribute to attack but is solid defensively. Bastian Schweinsteiger is the ideal candidate but others like Nuri Sahin, Ever Banega and Toni Kroos should be considered.

For attack our strikers are getting old and I'm not sure whether Anchelotti trusts starting Kalou or Sturridge. Borini may leave and we will definately need another top quality striker to help us cope with the vigors of the English football season. Chelsea shouldn't invest in any wonderkids as it may take them awhile to adjust or bed in to the team and league. So a signing like Anelka would be ideal. Options are Roque Santa Cruz, Roman Pavulychenko, Seydou Doumbia, Andre Pierre Gignac, Lucas Barrios, Nelson Valdez, Gervinho, Karim Benzema, Fenando Llorente, Nilmar, Antonio Cassano, Hulk, Mounir El Hamdoui etc.

These players could help Chelsea in the long run to keep the entire squad fit for the season. Your thoughts ed? {ed's note - not so sure about some of the signings you suggest, Cassano? Santa Cruz?}

So any chance of Chelsea landing one them like Gervinho, Nilmar or Benzema? {ed's note - I don't think it will be any of them, but it is certainly possible that I am wrong on that.}

Hey Ed, is the sacking of Ray Wilkins along these lines. Abramovich wanted to cut costs and Ray was accumulating to much of the clubs money through his wages and Abramovich saw that Emenalo was an ideal candidate to be Carlo's assistant without having to shell much cash for him also Emenalo was a favourite of Abramovich's. {ed's note - no mate.}

Hey Ed, any chance of Chelsea signing Lille and Belgium attacking midfielder Eden Hazard in the summer especially if Borini and Kakuta departs? {ed's note - if they go there will be a move for replacements, not sure if Hazard would be targeted though.}

This season Nuri Sahin statistics

League he has scored 6 goals from def midfield in 13 appearances with an astonishing 10 assists.

Cup he started the only game Dortmund played in the competition.

Europa League 6 games played and he has 4 goals with one assist.

He's better than Mikel nearly in all areas of individual skill. I would trade him in for Mikel any day. Why hasn't Chelsea made a move or scouted this guy yet Ed?

{Editor's Note: They may well have had the player watched. But so may many other clubs. There also maybe some misunderstanding over this €6m release clause in his contract. It is not, as I understand it, a simple "buy out" clause that needs to be matched, it is a "minimum fee release clause" that activates in the summer. This means the ISM quoted figure of €16m would need to be matched to transfer the player in January and that the "minimum fee release clause" means that he could well be auctioned off in the summer in any case.}

Since Chelsea lost interest in signing Arturo Vidal, they should turn to fellow Bundesliga oufit Dortmund to find what they are looking i.e a deep lying playmaker. Chelsea should be watching Nuri Sahin he's exactly what they need to reinforce their midfield with and would only have to pay his small release clause of only 6mil pounds. Hopefully Bayern regains their form and wins the Bundesliga crushing his and Dortmund's hope of winning the championship cause that might influence a move away. What's your thoughts ed? {ed's note - if it is true that the release clause is 6m (and it is reported to be Euros not pounds so a bit under 6m pounds) then Chelsea would have to be mad not to match it and try and get him. He would offer so much more to the team than Mikel does in that position. But I think Bayern are more likely to be his next club.}

His release clause is 6mil ponds Ed and Dortmund stated that they will not sell to another Bundesliga team. Your thoughts ed? {ed's note - the reports I read said 6m Euros mate, where did you get the pounds thing from considering Germany don't use pounds as their currency? And it makes little difference what Dortmund say if the release clause is met....}

Hey Ed, any truth in Chelsea tracking 19 year old Montenegro and Partizan Belgrade defender Stevan Savic? {ed's note - I am not entirely sure mate, I know there has been a guy claiming to be a Chelsea scout watching Serbian matches. But I don't know anymore about it than that. I wouldn't even know that much if it wasn't that an extremely difficult to understand email was sent to me by a Serbian saying about talking to a guy at the match that claimed to be employed by Chelsea. Was the right team though for it to be Savic, because I remember nicknaming them tinpot in my head when it is Sopot. And yes I did have to Google Savic to find that out as I couldn't place the name but knew I had heard it before.}

Pep Guardiola to replace Carlo Anchelotti as Chelsea manager at the end of the season. Abramovich and Gourlay has had talks in Barcelona with the manager over a possible move and they were positive. What's your thoughts Ed? {ed's note - I can't see it happening mate, sorry.}
