ED can you please clear up Porto's stance around their buy out clauses for me please, Hulk has a buy out clause of £100mil; will Porto deffo not discuss anything lower thatn this or any other buy out clause? Good for them if that is the case, otherwise whats the point in setting buy out clauses, but it seems unrealistic! {Ed018's Note - Porto has stated that they will not negotiate on any of their players. Thats there initial stand on it. If a player asks for a transfer and a good offer comes in then they may be willing to negotiate}

NEymar has agreed to join Real Madrid on a six year deal. They are now haggling over the price with Santos and other owners. Not such a bad thing I believe he's too expensive for a 19 year old and also injury prone. Remember Robinho.

hey ed, my source claims that a deal for neymar could be concluded on monday and also a deal for falcao could be concluded by monday...although Falcao will be announced next friday. what do you make of this?

I am very close to someone at Chelsea.
It is said that AV wants Falcao, Hulk, Moutinho.
The way Porto do business is unique in football.
They have no negotiation. Every player has a release clause in there contract and if it is met they will be aloud to go. ( like AV had £13.3 million)
The papers are correct that Falcao has a 26.5 million pound release clause. Which looks imminent.
Hulk is completely outrageous and is £100 million. That will not be met.
Moutinho is £36.5 million. Rumours that the club will hold out for Modric instead. who they believe will be a Chelsea player by the end of the transfer window.

Ed02 if falcao is only just a matter of time away from signing, who do you believe is leaving between drogba and anelka, or be it both? The struggle for centre forwards is really not the issue, we have a lack of left side and right side width, which none of the suggested signings seem to have other than neymar. I no the stats may look healthy on malouda but PLEASE ed02, this shocking guy has to be replaced. {Ed002's Note - Anelka will almost certainly leave. There is no plan for Drogba or Malouda to leave unless the player wants to. I know Malouda does not want to go but there seems to be a little pressure from Frelot to move back to France. Zhirkov will be leaving so someone needs to come in regardless. Drogba will I guess look at his options before deciding.}

if lampard and turnbull leaves we will be short of home grown players..last season we could name only 18 senior squad players since we had only 4 home grown players..if two of them leave this year, we will have only 2 home grown players left!!sturridge, josh and others comes under unlimited U21 category..the players we are rumoured to be looking at are (modric, pastore, mata, falcao, hulk, moutinho, sneijder, vdw, modric, subotic are all 21 or above age of 21) are neither home grown nor u21 players..except for lukaku and neymar (though both comes under u21 category neither of them can be counted as home-grown), that means we will have only 2 home grown players left, and we can name only less than 18 senior squad players(non-home grown, like malouda, modric or whoever) unless a home-grown player is signed..so i expect neither of lampard, cole, terry, turnbull will be allowed to leave..in case they leave, wont we be short of home-grown players??, can somebody explain how are we going to manage this situation??ED PLZZ {Ed002's Note - Forget the homegrown player scenario and work simply on the situation that no more than 17 players may be "not homegrown" and over 21. It is clear that some folks will leave, and we know that is the case. I would not lose sleep over it.}

Subotic interest will be renewed.
Midfield is our problem area, I think we need at least two new players to allow us to play the way AVB will want us to. Given Moutinho will not happen, any ideas Ed who might be targets outwith the usual suspects (Sneijder, Modric and Pastore)???
Finally, I really hope we will keep hold of Sturridge and play him this year, but I fear this will not happen.
