As always brilliant work ed's... Hazard would be a brilliant addition to Chelsea if we can get him. Do you expect to see him in a Chelsea shirt come the end of the transfer window?

Avb has said that he doesn't want to buy cup tied players but someone of his skill shouldn't be missed.

Don't believe everything AVB says as has been mentioned by the ED's. AVB would be more than happy winning the FA Cup, even if he isn't admitting it. It's all give Hazard time to settle with the team and enjoy a full preseason. We have a habit of dragging out signings and effectively bringing players in 'mid season'.

Hey ED, Brazilian radio station 'Eldorado' have reported that Chelea have made an official enquiry into Neymar.

Any truth in this?

I suppose that we'll end up with Willian, this appears most likely in the current situation. I also suppose that he'll take a while to settle in, as with Luiz and Ramires, but then come good. I do hope that this is a ploy to entice Neymar, Lucas Moura and the like to Chelsea by having young first team regulars of the Brazilian team at the club.

If not, bring on Hazard, I'd bet he'll settle quicker.

David luiz didnt take a while to settle in! he hit the ground running if you remember! if anything he has got worse!(altho i fully expect him to be brilliant sooner rather than later)

Lille manage to get a replacement before the guys left yet we're still waiting for a replacement for Robben!

Alright mate, we all appreciate what she's doing, but sucking up to her by saying that we don't trust Sky.

We trust ED more than Sky obviously, but it doesn't mean we completely distrust them.

Hey ed,

Do you think the 4-3-2-1 formation is actually the formation AVB has mind for next season (and for the rest of his tenure)?. With our current crop of players it does seem that AVB is more inclined to play this formation, purely because the team has experience in this formation and you could say purchases in the past have been made for this particular formation, but with AVB hopefully being allowed the time and the trust would it be a possibility that he may have a change up. Also, with certain 'world class' players we have been 'linked' with, could it be possible that our style and maybe formation be changed to suit a 'new' crop of players.

DC {Ed002's Note - As I said before I have no interest in formations and see little point really discussing them - rather like AVB - who equally thinks folks are misled about formations as they constantly need to adapt during a match. I recall a discussion once where it was decided that the only time formations could be considered fixed was at kick off. I know this guy at Clairefontaine who for maybe 20 years has been studying if and how different formations are applied. He advocates and teaches that certain sides (he cites Barcelona, Chelsea, Ajax and Kashima Antlers) that have achieved varying levels of success have actually now reverted to something between no formation at all and the Metodo approach and that strict formations should be a thing of the pass. He wants to see intelligent players that can adapt as the game changes and this is what is being toaught to the French kids who are seen as the future of the game in France.}

ed is willian avbs choice or emelanos {Ed002's Note - Interest in Willian predates AVB but I am sure he would have agreed.}

He is a good player, though that would push Kakuta further down the order.

To be fair kakuta has never quite developed as he was expected to. He is still young yes but still many better players same age pushing for first team all over world. In my opinion kakuta will eventually leave Chelsea in next year or two.

I spoke with somone very influential within CFC youth a long while ago about him.Even then it Josh they had high hopes for and felt Kakuta would not be top draw in the short to middle term.

So players develop much much later....but i do agree kakuta will likley never be good enuf for the chelsea first team! i think he will be moving on in the summer

would definitely like to see the name function being mandatory (and displaying on the site). ive started posting more regularly now but always forget to fill in the name function. this may be my first time. it would add a sense of community as could get to know the characters on here a little more and obviously people could always fill it in 'anon' if they wished. josh {Ed002's Note - Do what the Arsenal page has done and ignore unsigned posts - it has pretty much ensured everything is signed.}
