What is this about cavanis release clause ending on August 10th? Does that mean after this date the release figure changes (reduces maybe) or will he just not have one any more?.

When you put up with a player for two years who's playing terrible, who have enough. When a player doesn't really improve his game after 7 or 8 years we have the right to wish him well, but happy if he moves on.

I think mikel is played in the wrong position. Watch him play for Nigeria and he looks a different abd better player in a more advanced role. I am not saying we should play him there as we have better players in that position but he deserves some credit for being decent even though out of position

According to Dutch reports, chelsea have completed a deal for Van Ginkel. Really don't know if it's true, but if so I would be delighted. Rather Van Ginkel than Thiago if I'm completely honest

Just think a player who brings a little more of a physical presence in midfield would fit better. We already have enough small technically very skilled players. I never said I think he is better, or will be better in the future, than Thiago. Personally, I'd want Van Ginkel more in the team. I'm a big Thiago fan and I'd love it if he came to chelsea, but I don't reckon there's much of a chance and I'd rather have Van Ginkel

I think Thiago is/will be the better player but I agree that Van Ginkel is currently better suited to the way we play. Although, in all honesty, I think our priorities should be cover in goal and defense plus one excellent defensive midfielder (especially if Mikel leaves and/or Romeu is sent on loan.
