Another worrying rumour is Willian to Barca. This one is disturbing and It makes sense as he's in their shortlist to replace Neymar.

Sell Willian, sign Vardy and move to a front two? Sounds like a good (unlikely) plan to me!

I'd rather sell willian and go for Belotti and go two up top. Barcelona will pay way over the top for him now and we'll have funds for the move. But that's asking too much most likely. Realistically sell Willian and get Mahrez as a replacement would be ideal if we plan on keeping the formation the same. But i can't see it, we're seriously struggling to get anything done with such little time left that i just can't believe our board would be that insane to sell another player without bringing one in. But with they way this window has gone it wouldn't suprise me lol.

Ordinarily i don't want him to go but if the club wants to sell him, Belotti coming in like u said will be ok and may be Keita Balde.

If coutinho is valued at over 130m then they can have Willian for 90, both are not worth it by the way but for all his hard work ( which is appreciated ) not really any end product,

I'd sell him straight away if a bid of around 60 million came in. He works had but an attackers main job is to score and create chance and Willian has a very poor end product. I'd sell him and Michy and bring in Vardy. Someone like Sanchez or Dembele would be unattainable. I'm sure Musonda Jnr could step up to the plate.

do people on here actually think mahrez or vardy are in willians league? in certain games his speed, power and work rate are indispensable and has been the only player putting in a performance so many times when the rest of the team aren't at it.

So you would sell 2 players to bring in one, when we're already short on numbers? And the player you want to swap a young striker (who has potential and time on his side) and a very hard working player (who's end product may be lacking but always gives 100%) for, is a striker who's in his 30's and is reliant on his pace to come sit on our bench?
Now if you'd wanted to swap Willian and Batshuayi for Dembele or Dybala or Mbappe, that would make sense but to sell £100m worth of players to bring in a player for £30m makes zero sense at all.

Agree with smudgea and fuser -- particularly cannot understand why Willian gets so much stick, and he has scored many key goals and not just from set pieces (two name only two games last season, there was Man City away and Stoke at home) .

I completely forgot about about Draxler. May sell Willian and go in for Draxler.

Sell William? Is this the clay class?

Today's rumours are ridiculous!

Tuchel to replace Conte. Seriously?

Just when things seem rosier that bombshell drops. I don't believe it one little bit, but with our board you just never know. I'd honestly be devasted if Conte was to leave.

would be an absolute joke if they was to get rid of CONTE. i don't believe it one bit too.

With just a week to go in the window, these type of rumours are not exactly going to attract and or make it easier to sign players. Especially not even knowing if Conte will be their manager when they get here.

I think the Tuchel rumours are bs, but It doesn't help us transfer wise with these kind of rumours circulating.

In the same sentence you wrote
"I don't believe it one bit but you never know" that's suggests you're at least a bit worried about it.

Its bs, don't even give it a second thought. Remember not too long ago the media were trying to sell him to INter Milan.

I've put my full response to this story on the banter site.
I do understand why our club rarely make statements about unsubstantiated press stories but given the timing and how important Conte is to the club and the vast majority of Chelsea fans I think the club MUST come out with a response asap.

Morata9. Well it's true, you just never know with our club and sacking managers. It's happened enough times before, whether that be Mourinho, Ancelotti and so on.

Didn't conte already say he wanted to stay at Chelsea and help them into a new Stamford bridge - that's ears away.

Letting Conte go would be worse than letting Mourinho go in his first spell. Conte is something completely different to previous Chelsea managers, although he wasn't given backup from board like others especially Mourinho(first spell).
Losing Conte would be much more than losing the world class manager.

Please let's not get into even giving this rubbish air time.
It's the papers we lose to burnley, the team have turned against the manager blah, blah, blah. We win and the team are playing for the manager but the board are against the manager blah blah blah.
Let's just get on with important things like signing another three players and forget this BS.
