Do you think we will get either Modric or Moutinho?

hi ed, thanks for the work you do, i won a bet on you about ancholotti getting fired because of you.

i have a few questions

1)you dont know anything on modric, why is that because you have really awesome infomation on other transfer regarding chelsea?

2) if/when modric fails, who will we target?

I agree that Ed'002 is so far ahead of others when it comes to reliable information on the boardroom dealings at Chelsea that it is a waste of viewing time to look elsewhere.I do have a question though Ed.The odds were extremely tempting at the time you gave the info on the Mata transfer due to the fact that the mainstream press were still clueless, but how do I avoid paying the damm betting tax?Keep up the good work Ed who knows I may be able to reside in the beautiful tax free haven that is Monaco at this rate.

Eds, sorry if this is a question you don't want to answer but how high would you day our chances of getting modric are? Do you know of a new bid anytime soon? Would you expect to see him in a chelsea shirt this season?

Do you have any information on when david luiz will be available for selection? I thought he would be for the west brom game but he must still be injured?

Ed, I've been on the tottenham rumours page and most of them seem certain that we will give money + sturridge for modric. I know you've said most likely sturridge won't be going anywhere? Do you think we would actuall do this deal?

I expect this to be another berba and go down to the last few hours on transfer night {Ed018's Note - if there were to be another bid, i expect a player to be involved}

Just curious as you are always ahead of sky sports news, who are always first to report any transfer or any going ons

pls Ed, i'd like to know why benayoun is not seeing games and even still supposedly expected to leave the club, this is a player that can operate on the flanks(despite his age)or in midfield,he plays good attacking football that suits AVB's style, so why is he not part of our plans..thanks Ed {Ed018's Note - thats up to AVB and the coaching staff and i would expect him to move}

I don't think he is seen as someone who can improve the squad and i believe mata has been given the #10

Ed002, over the past few days I have been reading where people expect Mata to play. I always saw him as a LW, essentially being almost exclusively part of the strike force. Of course I have come to question this seeing that people have said he could even play in midfield as a creative player, what is your take on this? Thanks, Liam. {Ed002's Note - I have explained already, don't get sucked in to midfield players being anything other than versatile. Whilst you have the mindset of a player being tied to one position or that formations in front of the defence are relevant at all, you will struggle to see what will be happening. Folks tend to get sucked in to this "we'll play 4-3-3" or "we'll play 4-5-1" mentality and it is nowhere near the truth. Forget where midfielders will play - just think of them as available to be picked.}

ED have you heard of any news regarding an accepted bid for neymar of 45m,also a bid for perriera of Porto.I have been told mata will take up the CAM role instead of Modric(who we are losing patience with) and we have the neymar bid accepted {Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed with respect to Neymar. The transfer fee has never been an issue even at the revised rate. The issues remain the timing and the detail and that remains a major stalling point at the moment. I suspect January 2012 would be acceptable to Chelsea but not August 2012 or January 2013. Mata will play anywhere across midfield or behind a striker. Try and get out of the mindset of formations and it becomes much easier to visualise. Periera is seen as a replacement for Zhirkov and could provide cover for Ashley Cole if he is injured, suspended or moves to another club, say in Spain for example.}

Since the first day of the transfer window Ed002 has told us of the bids we have made for Modric but he has also stated that he doesnt know anything about the deal. If you ask me i don't think we are going to get Modric anymore and i have been adament that we were since day 1. Ed002 called it with Mata long before the press did so i feel i have no reason not to trust him now. If i'm wrong then fair enough i'm wrong but i'm gonna trust Ed on this one and say that we won't sign Modric.

On a seperate note, did anyone read Arry's comments on Mata only choosing us because we offered more wages? I thought it was because we're a bigger club, bigger ambitions, in Champs League, challenging for the Premier League......etc. And isn't Mata on 55K a week?

Mata is gonna be on 55k so he came 2 win cups

Chelsea should raid Borussia Dortmund as they have loads of great young players, such as Neven Subotic and Mats Hummels (both great young centre-backs) and Mario Gotze (he is amazing and only 19, could the playmaker that is needed, no Modric).

Yeah Hazard is quality He would do very for us.

The Modrich saga seems to end (as most of the analysts say).
We are not successful in having a specialized play-maker still.
Last time we were really socked to have Torres and D. Luiz, both arriving in dying moments. And we die hard fans expect the same this time.

ed002, do chelsea still maintain an interest in fernando and is there a chance that we move for him in this window? {Ed002's Note - Yes there is an interest. There may well be a move for him. Nothing seems certain right now. I am aware that there are some discussions due tomorrow and I expect a couple of players to leave and perhaps the spending is not complete. However, I will stress again that the club will not spend just for the sake of it.}

Morning Ed, just wondered if you knew if Moutinho has expressed an interest in joining Chelsea? We hear that he has a buy out clause but is he actually open for a move to Stamford Bridge? Reading the comments it would suggest that the modric deal is not going to happen and with Ganso wanting to join AC, it leaves us with Moutinho as the most viable option. {Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed from my perspective. Everything remains as I previously explained. I am sure that there will be some movement this week and I will try and post what I can.}

For 30M€ Moutinho will go, for sure, but don't expect for less Unbelievable Chelsea hasn't done much to get Falcao Much better than Torres, no doubt at all {Ed002's Note - Falcao has gone to Atletico Madrid because he knew Chelsea would not provide any guarantee of first team football.}

ED, if Spurs decide to play Modric in the upcoming Europa League match with hearts i.e. Cup tying him. Do you think our interest in him will come to an end. Will seem like alot of money to spend on a player who can't play champs league? {Ed002's Note - I am sorry, I know nothing of any deal for Modric.}

This is just old 'Arry talk. As you may know Spurs are not in CL, therefor this cup tying is not exactly the same thing as if Modric played, for say Arsenal. Teams may have register one player who has played in the lower tier cup such as Europa League, per UEFA rules.

We did the same with david luiz, so i wouldn't be surprised if we signed him anyway. i have a suspicion that modric will be carrying a slight knock before the game.

If he plays this week for Spurs in Europa qualifying, and then signs for us before the end of this window, Chelsea would not be able to register the player in a Champions league squad until List B is submitted for the knock-out rounds starting in February next year.
