Eds are Chelsea interested in marquinhos of Roma? {Ed002's Note - It is a complicated situation - for now - no.}

Believable3 Unbelievable11

I heard Chelsea are trying to do a deal with Roma which will involve a loan of Wallace which will see Chelsea purchase Marquinhos.

Hi Ed, if chelsea fail to get any of Cavani, Falcao and Lewandowski, will they turn their attention to either of Bony or Damiao or is their any other striker being targeted? {Ed002's Note - There are players the club are interested in. Bony will head elsewhere.}

ED if Thiago Alcantara was made available by Barca would Chelsea be interested? {Ed002's Note - As of now, no.}

Hi eds is there any truth in Real Madrid trying to take David luiz many thanks {Ed002's Note - Perhaps, but he is a possible target for Barca as well.}

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Would he be not out of Barcelona's price range ED as they wouldn't pay a vast some for Thiago Silva last season would they include some players if they did bid for Luiz? {Ed002's Note - Whatever you want.}

Agree0 Disagree0

My humble opinion is that chelsea should guard and strongly reject transfer interests targeting David Luiz

Many instances are when chelsea want a good player from other clubs, a not for sale answer is given. Remember previous seasons approaches towards modric, jovetic, schurrle, luke shaw etc

so don't see the need for chelsea to sell luiz, let's deal with O. romeu, Torres, benayoun, ba, mikel or essien exits and replacement. That will be a good season for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am 50/50 on the possiblity of Luiz going.
At times he is world class but at times when attemping to carry out his main task (defending) he is a liability.
My guess is Mourinio wants central defenders who are disciplined and dependable
On Sunday Evertons goal on Sunday was as a direct result of Luiz stepped out knicking the ball but immediatley giving away possession. As he was out of position Everton played a couple of simple balls and bang score was 1-1.
People will say his best position is in midfield but in truth with the £28+ million we would get for him you would be able to get some very decent quality midfielders.

He will suit Barcelona most, I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree with you about him being caught out of position at times. let's have enough defense cover and a good defensive midfielder first before thinking of selling. If he honestly becomes a surplus to the team, then he can go. But at the moment, our squad is lean, we have many games per season and we need him. let's appreciate his immense defensive roles and ""box to box defensive midfielder/striker"" style lol

Do you know any clubs interested in Bernard, Ed002?

Cheers

D {Ed002's Note - Atletico Mineiro's Bernard rejected opportunities to join Zenit and a Qatar side last summer but there is a lingering thought that he may still move on. Inter went as far offering part ownership of others in exchange for part ownership of Bernard last summer, but again that was refused. However, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow, Terek Grozny and Shakhtar Donetsk have recently approached Atletico Mineiro and whilst a 12M euro offer from Terek was rejected, it looks like a deal could be still be done and perhaps AC Milan will put together a package including a player as part of the deal or Dortmund who would offer straight cash. Whilst he is certainly attracting interest from several sides and a very good offer could tempt them to sell, I suspect Atletico Mineiro and Bernard would prefer to hold off on any move for, say, another year. Chelsea has been keeping a close eye on his progress as have Manchester City and Roma. He was one of the South American players that Liverpool were scouting earlier in 2012, but that was pre-Rodgers.}

How do you rate him personally Ed002?

D {Ed002's Note - I don't rate players.}

Heard Jose M is not a fan of Luiz and wants to sell him while he wants to bring Essien back. If we change our style of play back to 2/3 seasons ago I will continue to support Chelsea but I probably won't watch most of the matches.

Bye bye then mate!

CFC TILL I DIE

Arguably one of the stupidest posts I've seen on this site for a while!

Scott W

Agree0 Disagree0

Was this comment based on a rubbish story in the Daily Mail? Highly speculative to say the least. On the other hand, if our style of play reverts back to that of 3 seasons ago, I'm all for it (it was the Ancelotti era and very enjoyable)! ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

3 years ago we had won the double having scored 103 goals in the league and a goal difference of +70 odd!

If we have to put up with that again, I reckon I might cope!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of the things people post up on this site beggars belief.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course, if the new manager didn't want Lamps or John Terry in their prime it would be a different story. It always the case with foreign born players and British Chelsea fans.

Ed purely in your opinion do you think cavani is city bound. Would love chelsea to get him. Thanks for the good work. {Ed018's Note - it's very possible}

With all the striker targets look to be going else where I think we should buy Aubameyang and keep Lukaku and I think that could be magical

Believable10 Unbelievable5

What kind of striker is Aubameyang? I've never seen him play so I don't even know if he's any good. Also, what sort of fee do you guys think he would require?

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a hybrid really winger / striker, I may get some people disagree but I personally think he is a bit like Thierry Henry, lightening quick, can cross, finishing is good.
i'd be guessing but i'd say he'd cost in the region of 20 - 30m
One Bomb Tom

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the reply Tom. That is a lot of money, but I'm sure that if we'd be willing to pay that much he must be worth it. Cheers mate

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

No problem Franco I may be wrong on price but I've seen 23m been quoted but watch him on youtube he is quality player
One Bomb Tom

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks like a great athlete (watching him on youtube) and can finish pretty well. I wouldn't mind seeing him at the Bridge next year. Don't think spending another 50m on a striker is the answer. We should sort out the defense as well

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you Franco, if we was to buy Aubameyang, he would fit the mould of young, athletic quick, players like we have plus his versatility of playing wide or up top is a huge bonus, if we get a solid defender i'd be very pleased, we already have on of the strongest young teams in Europe with the right buys we could be unstopable for next 8 - 10 years

are any other teams interested in yilmaz or just us? {Ed002's Note - Burak Yilmaz has attracted interest in the past year from Sevilla, Spurs, Fulham, Dortmund, Beyer Leverkusen and Newcastle. There are also unconfirmed rumours of interest from Liverpool dating from as long ago as early June. Lazio and Lokomotiv Moscow spoke with the player in January after the clubs agreed that they would meet the asking price from Galatasaray - but that has now risen with his recent performances. Chelsea were quoted a very significant fee when enquiring recently. Atletico Madrid remain very keen to discuss a move for the player but might struggle to finance a deal at the price now being asked.}
