Sometime ago I posted that Conte was 75% likely to stay. This came from the same source who told me Conte would see out this season at Chelsea.
Last week I asked a question about a pre FA cup board meeting and if this was a usual practice. I guess that question was impossible to answer.
This morning I got a call from the usual source and was told if now looks as if Conte's contract will be terminated.
Strange how things change so quickly in football and it makes me realise how difficult a task the Ed's have!

TomB, given that your the man with all the info, can you tell us who Chelsea are after in terms of their managerial position. Surely you ain't Ed2 in disguise right lol?

I’m certainly not Ed in disguise.
I do know a fairly senior person at the club reasonably well and I have asked him about certain ongoings.
He did tell me that Conte would be seeing out the season and he also recently told me that it was very likely Conte would be our manager next season. Within about two weeks that changed to goodbye Conte.
I did ask him about any preferred candidates and he told me something along the following lines.
“The situation is changing by the hour and he is not sure who the manager will be”
Basically Shak, he hasn’t got a scooby doo.
I want Conte to stay so I’ve had a small bet on him to be our manager next season.
If it’s not Conte, I have a sneaky feeling it’s going to be an old player of ours and the current Fulham manager.
I can’t see it being Sarri for the reasons already given on this site and if it’s Poch I will be gutted.

I just have a feeling that it MIGHT be Sarri. I say that because apparently he has allegedly rejected the approach from Zenit and Napoli have pretty much agreed a deal with Carlo and so it leave she him free potentially. It just makes me think that he might waiting for something to happen with Chelsea and I know Chelsea have approached him about the job previously! However, my guess could be totally wrong and if it is then it is due to the reasons explained here.
Jokanovic seems a decent shout but I think he would be a risky choice and the club probably won't go ahead. But I do agree, Chelsea board seem to be mulling their brains over this one And with all the names mentioned it is obvious that they haven't made a choice yet.
