A lot of rumours circulating that Matic could/ will be off to United for around £45m. Although i reckon that'll end the Sandro pursuit, and i don't really want to strengthen a rival, for that much you have to take it if other teams aren't matching that sum. Excited to see who else we'll be in for for his replacement since the board will have money to burn at this point.

I don't know why you thing grown men on massive wages need to "settle" these are not children. For a player to come to chelsea he wants to play and win. Forget holding hands.

Theres a lot of eastern europeans at my work but when i started there i went on my own. I didn't need British hgv drivers to come with me to "help me settle in"

We could. Or we could get the players to look after each other. With the culture difference etc, would certainly help the new players settle in. Not every one settles in another country.

I've got to say I really don't buy into the hysteria regarding the lack of numbers in the squad. While we have the congestion of UCL football this year that only 6 games through January and it's a crap shoot beyond that. Also Conte has demonstrated (at Chelsea and June previously) that he largely sticks to the same group of players.
I think the only additions we need to make are a left wingback and a centremid, if conte doesn't feel that baker or pasalic are capable of performing the role that Chalobah did last year. Making additions beyond that would largely result in a squad player that gets minimal time that the club will look to sell the following summer and most likely struggle doing so.

The market is ridiculous, yeah bakyoko is the matic replacement, think we need cesc understudy, a really good ball playing passing cm, isco would be ideal but unrealistic but someone in that mould, and although matic has faded in last few seasons, under Jose again united will be VERY strong,

If the club doesn't look at it then MAN-U will have a stronger midfield this season and we would have helped them acheive that (BY SELLING MATIC TO THEM) .
