ed i see we are doing a deal on Oriol Romeu the young barca player but i just dont get the point in selling him bk to barca after 2 seasons if he does well and becomes a regular then he is off bk to barca worth more and a loss to us pointless signing {Ed002's Note - This is simply a kid I am not hip to, sorry.}

ED018 why do you reckon we signed Oriol Romeu? i heard AVB scouted him at porto defensive mid....Btw did u catch the malaysia game i thought Benyayoun and Torres looked good But Malouda and kalou are poor i love lampard he is my favourite chelsea player but he does slow the team up what did you make of it mate
BLUEBLOOD {Ed018's Note - AVB must have seen something he liked in him. Sounds like we wont have to pay that much and he's young and can provide cover to that position. Could be a good move for Chelsea. I have not watched the match yet. I have it on DVR. I was at work during the match and i'll watch it later}

am not in aggreement with the idea of loanin betrand i think he is the perfect backup 4 ashley i think he has come of age.

I agree ED the right back position is open to whoever can make it there own, bertrand and van arnholt would have had a lot more chances if they could play there, in reality they will both move on before cole retires well bertrand will for sure because he is what 22?.....also if were buying this guy why sell him back in 2 years? were basically acting as a feeder club arnt we?

I have seen Chelsea in 3 pre season games so far and we don't look the best we create the chances and no end product so why are Chelsea letting some 1 like augero go to man city ? Also can you tell me who we are actually lined up to buy as I check everyday and it always seems to change

Yeah I know we lost all the pre season games last year but look what happened to us in the league as well, we need to get moving in the transfer window because if we don't I can't see us finishing in the top 2
But we came 2nd last season and if we had not had a mid-season dip in form we would have walked it.
But we didn't win though because of the dip and that can't happen again because if it does city will take that top 2 spot and I hate to say that

i really hope chelsea start signing some players soon, after a pretty average display and just scraping through with a debatable goal and seeing man utd win 7-0, AVB must realise he needs to strenghten the team to compete.. im worried we'll take to long during this tour period and end up panic buying, please Villas-Boas throw a bit of ££ about

Ed if we get Lukaku would he go on loan or atleast have a spot on the bench ? Also is Aimar of Benfica a realistic choice if we dont get a CAM such as Pastore ? {Ed002's Note - I don't know about a loan, seems improbable for this season, and Aimar must be 30 or more now, so I very much doubt it.}

Did arsenal and liverpool make 11 changes at half time, we were using some reserves aswell, chill out, whatever happens im sure we'll be better than utd or them two.
It really wasnt a great game, i thought the first half was slow and filled with errors, but more real chances were created, Torres should have had a couple and Lamps should have got at least one, Yossi also had a half chance. In the second half we were faster and generally more determined but didnt create a lot at all, only Sturridge manages to make himself space and should have scored. Not a great game all in all, as you said we need a winger or two and someone creative in the middle
He's not even using the full team rotating it every half its only a friendly and alot of reserves and youngsters are getting used

A lot?? Not quite, I only counted 5, and not more than 3 at the same time:
1st half (Rajkovi -Bertrand-McEachran, then Rajkovi -van Aanholt-Mceachran)
2nd half (Chalobah-Clifford)
Keep in mind that overall 4 were defenders. The majority of the team are the same old overpaid and out of form bunch ego's from last season.
Also, this bunch that we played yesterday weren't even the same team that Gooners and Spam played. That lot are getting ready for some tournament. The guys that we "beat" today are a rag tag group that were brought together. No folks, we played worse against their "B" team...
I agree and with avb saying we dont need a new striker thats just put the cherry on the top yes we have anelka but he was playing as a attacking midfielder so he isnt gonna get goals from there kalou the stick insect who has had more than enough years at the bridge to show us what he has got but hasnt drogba who looks for the cameras and his legs cant get him into the box no more torres the 50 million pound man who doesnt like scoring the only player worth a front spot is sturridge and avb thinks we dont need a striker and to top it off mikel still has the engine of a 70 year old man malouda who keeps trying to recreate the famous giggs goal against liverpool in every match but only gets tackled and puts us on the bk foot and boswinga well he is just in a world of his own and finally are old mate lampard the long ball king who after 1000 free kicks must realise that the spotty kid in row z doesnt want a match ball and wouldnt of got half his goals if it wasnt for essien sorry frankie but the brown stuff on the end of ur nose from every manager who takes the chelsea job doesnt do you any favours sorry for the rant guys

it has been said that ac milan vice president galliani is not interested in montilivo or Ganso, weve been linked with both, do you think we will go in with a formal offer, ive been impressed with ganso {Ed002's Note - I would not read too much in to what Galliani has said. Chelsea have had numerous discussions over Ganso but the player has made it clear that he did not want to move to England. He will likely not be available until January at the earliest. Inter Milan and Barcelona have also shown an interest in the player.}

However, there is every chance that Drogba or Kalou or even both could leave. There is speculation of a possible loan for Parker.}
Parker is the wrong choice. We should bid for De Rossi. Essien is finished in my opinion. {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have bid for De Rossi. And your expert opion is provided after you examined Essien is it?}

Yeah, I don't need to be a medical expert to realise that so many bad injuries in such a short period of time isn't helpful... and it wasn't like he played so good last season.

Hi ed, I just read an article based around an interview with Anelka, who basically said he would rather run his contract down (1year) than leave. Was Anelka ever one of the player we have been trying to offload, and if he is are his comments just paper talk? I was also wondering which players have been told to look for new clubs, if any. Cheers {Ed002's Note - I cannot comment on something Anelka has said in an interview. We will need to wait to see who is leaving, but Malouda has been told that he can but he wants to stay. You need to give the manager time to look at the players.}
Of course they don't want to leave. They have a nice salary and they settled. That's why we need to give them the boot.

ED, loving the fact we've put in a bid for lukaku as in my opinion he is a massive talent although in my mind we seem to be stockpiling strikers. Any word on if we are going to be offloading players like Anelka and malouda or too early to tell under the new manager?
Plus anything further on Van der Wiel? I know we could buy in Cahill and partner him with either JT or ivanovic in the centre and push luiz onto RB but it's another option isn't it? with Bozzys defending being increasingly more suspect. {Ed002's Note - VDW nothing. Players will be leaving at some point. Who remains to be seen.}
