Hi ed,
I was wondering if you know of any interest in boufal of Lille, seen a lot of reports stating that Chelsea are 'leading the chase' for him and that he might be one of contes first signing, any truth in this or more media rubbish?

{Ed002's Note - Although Sofiane Boufal only moved to Lille in January 2015, bids from Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester City are expected in 2016. PSG and Monaco have both had the player watched regularly and PSG, Barcelona and Chelsea have spoken with Lille to see if some sort of deal may be possible. Roma, Inter, Manchester United and Lyon have also had the player watched this season. Obviously he would not eb able to pass a medical at this time.}

{Ed002's Note - Valencia's Andre Gomes was watched last season by representatives of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Milan, Manchester United and by Vicente Fernandez on behalf of Chelsea. However, the asking price was well beyond anything that would make any transfer possible in the summer. This season many clubs, including Chelsea again, have watched the player but it will likely be Manchester United, Napoli, Barcelona and Juventus that fight for his signature in the summer - and I very much doubt Barcelona, Napoli or Juventus will be able to match any financial offer made by the others without a sudden influx of money - but that may be coming. Napoli and Juventus would need the money from a significant sale in order to move for Gomes without it becoming an unnecessary financial burden - but they are both pushing for a deal. Valencia want a Juventus player in exchange and they think that may be the means to make the transfer happen but Juventus will only agree to that if another player stays but they are talking. The player is open to a move for English wages and if were not for the toxic fans Manchester United would have signed him in January. I expect Manchester City to step back having agreed their first choice in now - and I expect PSG to do the same. Obviously if Valencia hold out for the sort of figure he has in his release clause then he won't be going anywhere - but they won't.}
