Sorry to press you Ed, but the announcement is now over I suppose....so what was it about? Or was it something just minuscule like the new prices of a season ticket...lol. Thanks Ed!

{Ed002's Note - Some weeks ago Chelsea agreed to meet Porto's buy out clause but AV-B made it clear that the time was not right and he wanted to stay longer at Porto to see how they get on in the Champions League. I am out of the country right now and the only thing that could have changed is Hidding deciding that he would not take the manager's job because one of the two other candidates had made himself available. Hiddink was a reluctant fill in for one year only at manager level. Given that I don't know if Villas-Boas has made himself available, for me this remainjs only a possibility at this time. However, I am also someway from the UK and access to news. I have had one call only to say this was not the case. We can wait to see.}

ED who is the third candidate? Is it Pep G or Jose?

{Ed002's Note - Mourinho.}

Ed... would you happen to know why Alexis sanchez has choosen barca over chelsea?
chelsea needs pacy mildfielders who are versatile and creative. Ed.. do you think by signing one of the current rumored targets like javier pastore, wesley sneidjer or luka modric will solve the challenge or we need to sign two of them? in regards to wingers, who do you think chelsea would target now that sanchez is gone? van der wiel and subotic are potential targets for chelsea this summer. how will they fit in the squad noting that terry, luiz, alex, ivanovic, bosingwa and cole are already in the first team squad?

{Ed002's Note - Well, he is from Chile so a common language in Spanish. They have a similar culture. The weather is better than England. They are European champions.}

Hey Ed002... i dont suppose you can shed some light on the rumour from Portugal about Villa Boas being lined up to take over at the Bridge...? As an avid blue i was hoping for Hiddink personally... i'm not sure Villa Boas is what we need right now... too soon for him i'd say. any thoughts?

I hate asking direct questions, and usually back you up when the grumpkins on here do it, but i figured if someone knows it'd be your good self :)

David Villa to be sold to Chelsea to fund Cesc Fabregas transfer
Barcelona are considering selling David Villa to Chelsea and using the money from the transfer to buy Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, according to a report.
The Champions League winners are hoping to add Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez and Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi to their squad, as well as Fabregas, but only have a £40 million transfer budget.
Coach Pep Guardiola is apparently now considering sacrificing Spain striker Villa to add a further £40 million to the kitty.
The 29-year-old, who joined Barca from Valencia in a £34 million deal last summer, is likely to be offered to Chelsea, who are in the market for a new forward.
Their top target Neymar looks set to snub the Blues to join Real Madrid, but Villa would be an attractive alternative, not least because he has experience of playing alongside Fernando Torres.
A source told the Sunday Mirror that Guardiola would be reluctant to sell Villa, but is ready to take a pragmatic approach in the transfer market.
Ideally, he wants to keep Villa especially after the impact he made in his first campaign with Barca. He sees David as a big player as his side push for more trophies next season, the insider said.
But he also knows that he may have to sacrifice Villa to finance incoming deals. And Manchester City and Chelsea would be very happy to buy Villa.
