My brother has just told me ( I don't know the source and he tends to be unreliable haha ), that we've offered £50m plus Cuadrado for Pogba. Apparently Juventus have said they'll consider it if we change the player to willian or Ramires. If true I would snap their hand off and take Pogba for £50m plus Pogba! Sadly the story seems unbelievable and incredibly specific unless something has been leaked. Fingers crossed but I personally can't see the deal happening

Instead of ramires and 50m could we give them ramires, mikel and 60m?

Instead of Ramires, Mikel and £60m could we give them Ramires, Mikel, Cuadrado, Ivanovic, Willian, Cahill and £110m?

Ed002 has done a write-up on Pogba and Griezemann on the European pages, very interesting to say the least!

I cannot believe we would pay the 'reported' £39m for a 19 year old or seriously be interested in a striker of that age given the number we have on loan.

£40m opening bid just seems so high for a 19 year old. Also if we paid that for him instead of Lacazette I think i'd cry for the rest of the week haha

Didn't Spurs try to get him for a lot less and he signed a new contract? A few weeks ago? Don't get me wrong that sort of money is ridiculous but having seen him a play a few times I think he's going to be a beast! If he was a sensible price it would be good business

He's already really good and still so young. So I agree, JCFC, he's going to be a beast. I'd be totally for him joining us. 39 million is too high though and nobody can seriously believe we'd pay that. We don't shell out that kind of money anymore.

We should really go for Embolo, I'd imagine he wouldn't cost half of what is quoted for Martial and he is already at least as good as him, at least in my view. He is the real deal.

I cannot understand any interest in Martial or Embolo certainly not 'anywhere' near the sum mentioned for the former player. French and Swiss football is hardly the pinnacle of International competition in depth, Embolo having the better scoring ratio albeit in less than 40 games. Neither are as prolific as Isaiah Brown and certainly Dominic Solanke as goal scorers, the latter at youth level with a staggering record. Would we honestly offer a greater amount than we would put on the table for Griezmann, I seriously doubt it. Maybe wrong but some journalist is yanking our chain. If it's rumours we want I will settle for the one in the same paper saying "Chelsea to splash £90m on Stones and Pogba", THAT is a rumour to discuss.

Frensham, didn't Tommy Langley have a 'staggering record' at youth level?!

Mrs Costa: How old are you? Yes he did and so did Michael Owen. Everyone deserves a chance and Chelsea certainly have 'potentially' two players as good as the two mentioned, neither have set the world alight.
