Any of the EDS able to confirm that Ross Barkley is on the verge of signing for Chelsea? Any knowledge would be very much appreciated. Thankyou and Happy New Year to all on this site.

{Ed025's Note - he wants out of everton G8 and its a toss up between chelsea and spurs, which one he opts for is very much 50/50 mate..

Does anyone actually want Barkley at Chelsea? I get he's English and we do need more English players, I for one would much rather go for west hams Antonio.

At very least he is a threat from outside the box, a player who shoots from distance, plus for the few approx 10-15m is mega cheap even for a squad player. conte got a lot out of a young pogba maybe could help RB kick on too.

I agree he’s an okay player who’s barley done anything for the best part of year yet thinks he’s better than Everton and good enough for spurs and Chelsea. I’d love to see him fall flat on his face.

he's a player if/ when he has confidence and bit of freedom he can run/ cause problems for defences and chip in with the odd goal.

decent buy and nice to see a English player at the club but my issues is we have a similar player In RLC tho.

id take him at that cheap price conte could make a player out of him but let's be honest if he wanted to sign for us he would of done in the summer when we bid for him he's off to spuds.

I absolutely don't think we need him, and as a non-Englishman, I think he's yet another case of English press over-hyping their own players. In my eyes, at least, he isn't a player that would offer anything we couldn't get from RLC, and I'm more than certain that we would be able to find plenty players that can add some goals from midfield that do not cost 15 million pounds, if they were to get the same freedom a player like Barkley would require to do so.

I wouldn’t spurs getting stronger like I say on his day yes fab just wants time.
