I truely don't understand why we continue to set up like an away team whether home or away. Our defence this season has been soo poor that allowing teams possession and space to attack simply isn't working. City, Palace now Roma we allow them the ball and they simply tear our defence apart.
Having Fabregas in the team is pointless when trying to play this way as he struggles to get around the pitch and simply never has the ball enough to make an impact. We're relying soo much on Hazard and Morata to be our spark when going forward that eventhough both are class it simply isn't enough.
Something needs to change, we desperately need Kante back as our midfield looks open every time the opposing teams comes forward. It was a great game to watch for a neutral but we have a lot of flaws in this team right now. Really hope Conte can figure it out and January can't come soon enough.

Our problem is a central midfield without Kante. Bakayoko is useless and Fabregas doesn't really fit in 2 central midfield. So Azpilicueta is an amazing solution compared to our central midfield problem.

i agree antibot we look wide open since kante went out injured we seemed ro buckle up there for a while after our early blip v burnley.

Blueboy, Christensen was at fault for 2 of the Roma goals - he's not ready to play as 1st choice.

We need other dynamic and creative option/ s in midfield. When Kante not there we don't have someone sufficiently energetic and good in the engine room, capable of box to box play, and/ or more attacking dynamo. a Lampard in his pomp and/ or a Kevin de Bruyne - de Bruyne must now count as one of our most regrettable sales in recent times.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hazard left at the end of the season. For nearly two years he's waited around for world class players to join him so we can move to the next level and yet he's surrounded by average players and we're so dependent on him and Morata.
Last summer we should of been aiming for the likes of Van Dijk, Alex Sandro, Aurier, Tolisso and Sanchez and what are we left with absolute rubbish. Sorry to Cesc fanboys but he's too slow Tolisso would have been perfect to replace him a proper box to box centre mid. Cahill and Willian are finished.
Never even heard of Zappacosta before we signed him and for goodness sake how long have we been waiting for that world class RW since Robben. Bakayoko has had a couple of games where he's been so powerful and the rest he's just been rubbish he's even had a two week lay off cause France never selected them. We should be joining City now and becoming a dominate force in every competition but yet we're back to the drawing board agai. The board is the main reason for this if this was ten years ago Roman would have been lethal and got rid of Marina and Emenal because they've failed for years.
I really don't want to start blaming Conte as he's everything we've ever wanted in a manager. He's passionate, successful and he's a lovely bloke but a lot of these decisions are going to cost him his job. Willian and Cahill constantly getting gametime over the likes of Rudiger/ Christensen and Musonda/ Pedro. Pedro is a very good player we saw that last year he did great tonight when he came on because he pushed Roma back. Pedro, Morata and Hazard is a good front three they haven't started together yet but they need to.

Is this the same Hazard who has picked up the prem trophy two out of the last three years?
In the main are these the same average players who romped to the prem title last year?
We can only buy players that club want to sell. Juve didn’t want to sell Sandro, Southampton didn’t want to sell VD and in my opinion Aurier is an accident waiting to happen and a head case!
I will never criticise the board as the board in effect is RA and us supporters owe such huge gratitude.
At the moment we have to many players who are not playing well but we are 5th in the league and we will qualify for the next phase of the Champs League. It’s up to Conte to turn some players form around and it’s up to the fans to support the manager!

Agree with what u say, but we have a rediculously undersized squad. Lucky with injuries last year but the luck has turned this year. We seemed to have accepted that we cannot challenge for the champions league trophy, which I suppose is understandable based on the amount spent by other clubs.

Like most fans Sid, I get frustrated when we are playing badly.
On some occasions I’m critical of a players performance and on Wednesday I posted that, in my opinion only three of our players had good games but I always try to turn the negative into a positive. If players are dropped for playing poorly that SHOULD give an opportunity to someone else.
I remain confident of a good season. I believe in our manager and the players and above everything else I believe in Roman and the board to give us continued success.

I think Pragmatism helps. I believe strongly in 'proactiveness'. Right now all we can do is support the team, pray and hope for the best BUT the trophies will always go to the in-form team with better resources and better preparation. DEPTH makes me believe in a team.

I doubt if Hazard will be allowed to leave next summer - his contract expires 2020 - it will be the summer after. Conte will leave next summer.
