Hey Ed and guys Noticed this on the Spurs page thought us chelsea fans could also help out will take 5 mins of your time to sign A relation of one of the Editors sadly died a while back in a swimming pool, he was only 12, but could have been saved with a diffibulator. His father is trying to get support for an e-petition for diffibulators to be available in all public buildings. If this is something you consider worthwhile, perhaps you would think about signing it:

Any news on cavani as wenger mentioned being interested in him and his agent saying he may go sooner rather than later..

ED002 if Newcastle have indeed agreed a fee for Yanga M'biwa will Chelsea not try to also try and agree a fee for him? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

ED do you know if Stories that Cole has agreed a 1 year deal correct? {Ed002's Note - Please read the posts.}

Hi Ed
Are you still hopeful we will bring at least 1 new signing to the club before the end of January {Ed002's Note - Of course.}

Maybe Chelsea made a mistake on sturridge.. He has done really well.. He should of got a chance.. He couldn't have been worse than Torres

Believable16 Unbelievable7

No mistake Sturridge flatters to decieve and sooner or later it will all go what's up!

Agree0 Disagree0

He was too greedy and was not a team player..... looks like he may be learning... pity its too late for his Chelsea career

Bluetrick

Agree1 Disagree0

Learning?he is there 2 weeks getting more of a chance than he was given in two years, unfortunately I'm beginning to grow fearful of chelse Fc future under emanelo, gourlay and buck, I know roman keeps an interest of course but ultimately his advisers seem to be getting it all wrong.ie managers and loyal players that still have a lot to give and a simple comparison if you had a dog for a few years with as many new owners it would need re training by each and it would be confused no different with the team and managers .in my opinion ancellotti should be still here

Agree1 Disagree0

You are joking. Sturridge was greedy arrogant and not a team player. Everything was about him, taking on stupid shots from all angles. When if he had passed to someone lose we would have scored. I also blame him for Torres problems last season, when avb was playing him. On numerous occasions he could have played Torres in but didn't this was because if Torres started to score he knew he would slip down the pecking order.
So good riddance I can't believe that liverpool were stupid enough to give us 12million

Agree2 Disagree0

Selfish because he was fighting for acknowledgement of being a quality goal scorer he's 23 and Chelsea will be proved wrong as Liverpool have Suarez that doesn't mean hel go down the pecking order already working linking up in games and I fear by the end of the season there'll be two x Liverpool compatriots laughing how KFC overtook cfc in the league. Out with Fernandez and Benitez I say

Agree0 Disagree2

" He should of got a chance "

It's "should HAVE", not "should of"

Thanks

Eds have we ever been interested in llorente and would I be right in saying we could speak to him now regarding a free transfer in summer.

NWBLUE {Ed002's Note - Whilst Fernando Llorente is still interesting a number of clubs talks of a January move to Juventus have again taken place with agreement on personal details reached with Llorente's advisors. Whilst Chelsea, and I suspect Manchester City, have dropped their interest, a number of other clubs were scared off by the size of the transfer fee being asked by Athletic Bilbao, regardless of his contract expiring in the summer. There is now a very good chance that he will move in January rather than waiting for the summer. Recent interest from Arsenal, Spurs, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona has been ramping up but will likely come to nothing. Athletic Bilbao are not getting value from the player right now and are resigned to losing him and I suspect will seek to get Juventus to double their low offer to facilitate a January move. His alternatives will be to sign a new contract (very unlikely), sign a pre-contract in January for a summer move or to let his contract run down and go for a good sized signing on fee. He will end up at Juventus.}

We have Kalas who is 1st team ready next season and Ake and Chalobah who are going to be on the fringe of the 1st team. If we are going to buy a CB then their is only 1 option in my mind and that's Mats Hummels. Has the pace and build of Luiz and the style of Terry, perfect defender for the EPL and already world class at his age.

PB

Believable16 Unbelievable0

Hummels hasn't got the pace of Luiz, Luiz is very quick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Subotic for me BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I mentioned Hummels a few days ago cause I completely agree with u! If we are to bring in a cb it has to be him even though he will cost quite a bit, and I'm not sure he would want to leave Dortmund. He's a great leader, probably one of the best passing CB in the world, knows how to play a certain style of play, has gone to big competitions with Germany and speaks fluent English!

that Newcastle United have agreed a fee with Montpellier for star defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. The 23-year-old French international is now set to fly into England next week for talks with the club's management to finalise a deal.

Any truth In this ed?

WheelyCFC {Ed002's Note - It is perfectly reasonable - certainly a bid was made.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Just the kind of player we needed, so probably is true. VBS

Do you reckon Chelsea bid for the player or do you see him signin for Newcastle?

19 Jan 2013 14:45:52
Ed I heard 2 really disturbing rumours I know 100% barca have bid for courtis but we not going to really consider selling him are we ?

and the other even more frightening is it true pep guardolia(spelling) wants to sign mata for bayern munich ? {Ed002's Note - (1) Barcelona has an interest in Courtois but Chelsea plan to bring him back in the summer. (2) I don't have any knowledge of Guardiola being interested in Mata.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Thanks ed

Agree0 Disagree0

There are 10 years difference in age between Chec and Courtois. Chec is at the top of his game and it seems as is Cpurtois. There have beem rumblings about Chec going and my guess would be that a big bid from either of the Spanish giants for him may well be successful

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we pay a reported £7.9 mill for a promising keeper send him on loan, see him coming on in leaps and bounds only to sell him for £10 mill 2 years later...even if it is to Barca. All this when our back up keepers are way below his quality

Athletico's discussions with torres, was there an end resylt from the discussion s or is it ongoing, is there a likelihood of a bid?
Cheers ed blue blood {Ed002's Note - I think there is a good chance he will be moving back there in the summer. They will likely be losing both Falcao and Adrian and are actively looking for replacements.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi ed.. Who are athletico looking at.. Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Atletico have looked at a number of players - Yilmaz, Torres, Martinez, Llorente, Oliveira, Michu, Rodrigo, Huntelaar and expect them to look at Baptistao.}

Hi Ed

I see you mentioned that Atletico Madrid was one of the clubs that we have had discussions with in regards to Torres leaving in January. Would of those discussions have something to do with part of a deal for falcao?

Thanks in advance {Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid enquired after Torres, the two matters are unrelated.}

I have noticed in the past you haved said Bruma will not be a Chelsea player for much longer. What are the reasons for this, he seems a good prospect.

P.S do you think Kalas has a future at Chelsea? {Ed002's Note - Kalas will be back in the summer and I would expect him to stay with the club. Bruma will move on and with the season not going well at Hamburg there is a prospect that he could even be sold this month. He is being advised that he should go to Vitesse on loan for the remainder of the season with a permanent move being facilitated by Chelsea in the summer. However, PSV would like to have his loan to Hamburg cut short and buy the player now - and one person at Chelsea would like to see this happen.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks for the response

Bruma aren't anywhere near chelsea standards. kalas is having a really good season, but he is playing at right back alot, BLUEBOY1

ED002 are we interested in Luke Shaw as a possible replacement for Ashley Cole?
Johnnycfc {Ed002's Note - Chelsea approached Southampt a couple for times, the first about a year ago, in respect of Shaw and has been told he is not for sale.}

These are players we should do everything to bring to the club. Very talented, loves the club and will play his heart out for the team. In our current setup, only the Brazillians seem to care. I'll love to see Courtois, De Bruyne, Lukaku all back next season to form the spine for the team, plus a few additions.

Do ya think 1 of the reasons lamps isn't being offerd a new contract is because of 'player power' and the obvious uneasy relationship he had with AVB.. Its the only reason I can think of considering there isn't even any negotiations and the last 5 or 6 games proved what he still has to offer on the pitch. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Did you see his game v Southampton?

Agree0 Disagree0

I did read or hear somewhere that roman had really hoped that avb was the new special one and was disappointed when he wasnt given a chance by the senior players that's why I think cole and lamps are going (both still great players) and I don't think terry will be too far behind as RA wants the scales of power tipped in his direction.

dave

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think Terry is going to be far behind Lampard and Cole, as far as his playing days at Chelsea are concerned. But, although I read the same or a similar article about RA not being happy with them not supporting AVB, I don't think that is the reason.

I've said before that Lampard is now a bit part player, still quality and the bits he's saved for should be the big bits vs Man Utd etc. as he has looked tired against the likes of Southampton recently. He also remains one of the highest paid players at the club and weather you are disillusioned by modern football or not the fact is owners see it as business. Having your highest paid player/worker not playing/working every game/day doesn't make much business sense. He could take a pay cut, which I'm guessing was discussed a week ago when his representatives apparently met Chelsea to discuss his future, but with big offers coming from elsewhere I don't think this is a realistic option. He'll move to LA on Beckhams old contract and have a great couple of years earning a fortune whilst his Mrs try's to break into American TV. Plus he'll always remain a Chelsea legend.

Terry is slightly different, still a regular starter, and arguably one of the first names on the team sheet in defence. His injuries are beginning to turn, from little knocks that kept him out for a week or two, to little knocks that keep him out for a month or two. I don't think his back problem will ever go away and back problems tend to lead to other problems due to bad posture etc. I think he'll be around for another two years but don't see him playing for another club anywhere. I'd like to think he'd go strait into coaching and eventually end up in the Chelsea dugout.

Players like Lampard and Terry do not come around very often, the are legends and we are the lucky ones to be able to say we watched them at Stamford Bridge. But they do have to move over for future stars such as Chalobah to come into the team, a player who I have little doubt will hold a similar legend status with fans in ten years time.

Sorry for the length and repetitive nature of some comments.

your sentiments are very good about lampard, however he did want to stay he did offer to cut wages but even then he is being shown the door . You refer to business, I agree but I would also say that you don't let your most trained/experienced staff leave UNTIL their replacements are fully inducted and as good as the midfield is everyone on hear is saying it just lacks experience when trying to keep the ball or just calm things down. So we know lamps would prefer to stay we know the manager would want his general to stay to help convert the newbies but it isn't happening because he crossed swords with the owner. Also I do think terry won't be long because like you say his niggles are becoming injuries so much less playing time similar to lamps and RA won't want to pay his (terry's) wage. it will be a shame but it will happen, not to take into consideration what terry has done to darken chelsea's name in recent years
