Sources have recently told me that Chelsea's "marquee" signing is going to be Eden Hazard.
However, this has not been fully confirmed!

As a result, AVB will move Hazard on the wings and will probably play Juan Mata more centrally, playing 'In between the lines' as it were.

Any thoughts Ed? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.}

Ed, please correct me if im wrong on this one. I recon you have said in the past that the party at the club being against it was Hans Gilhaus (former chief international scout), as he is no longer with the club, who is the party against Hazard now? {Ed002's Note - No, that is incorrect.}

Can I ask who at the club feels hazard has a bad attitude please or is that info u would rather not say,? Adlai is there any change in the van der Weil and his move to Valencia? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to discuss folks at the club and as has been explained VDW will be moving to Valencia.}

Ed reports state inter and spurs are battling for ganso does that mean we are no longer interested or just paper talk?

Ed, its my understanding that Chelsea had some interest in Valencia winger Pablo Hernández; to your knowledge has any interest been maintained? He's a good winger with excellent delivery who can play on either side. Would be a decent addition to the squad! {Ed002's Note - Will most likely not be moving from Valencia this January. Past interest has been shown by Italian sides Palermo, Fiorentina and Napoli but I suspect he will stay in Spain if he does eventually move.}

hey ed as Terry is now injured, and may become more injury prone as he gets older, and Alex is leaving is a center back certainly on the cards for january? Is Mats Hummels an option and who are our other targets that are being watched currently? {Ed002's Note - Not for certain but Cheslea have been looking at centre backs. Hummels is not one of them.}

Hi Ed can i ask why Chelsea arent interested in him? He is probably the best young CB in Europe and is playing in a physical league similar to ours. {Ed002's Note - Because interest is elsewhere at present.}

Are Subotic and Cahill still the primary CB targets? {Ed002's Note - I would not say "primary" taergets but there has been long term interest in Subotic. Rolando, Benatia and the vesatile Boilesen are all options.}
