I hope these rumours about willian being offered to other clubs is fake because he could be superb if he just had that confidence to go past players! Cuadrado should go if anybody wanted to buy instead of loan with option to buy

Willian is 27! Just under a year younger than pedro. The guy has never scored or created enough goals and in my opinion never will. We should move him on if we have the chance.

Agree6 Disagree2

{Ed018's Note - Cuadrado and Moses need to go before Willian}

19 Aug 2015 22:29:33
Move one of our best players on? Are you having a laugh? We need Moses and Cuardrado to move on as ED018 says

Agree2 Disagree5

19 Aug 2015 22:59:21
Wouldn't bother me either asking as we're bringing quality players in like Pedro/Griezmann. Loan out Cuadrado and Kennedy (if he signs). I'd keep Moses and Traore as squad players for the cups.

If you sell Willian you replace him with someone better. There are definitely better options out there.

Cech, not good enough (I got slaughtered for saying it)
Oscar, not good enough
willian, not good enough
moses, not good enough
Cuadrado, needs time but as usual with foreigners good for national team not good enough for chelsea
falcao, not good enough
ivanovic, never been good enough, only ok consistently
mikel, not good enough, never has been

In fairness to Brana, without him we wouldn't have big ears and its smaller brother in our cabinet. I too don't think he has been the world beater people have claimed for a few years, but to say he has never been good enough shows a complete lack of respect for someone that is etched into the clubs history and always puts in a shift for the club

Bacon Barry, are you serious?

Agree3 Disagree1

20 Aug 2015 09:37:29
I am one of those that have been impressed with Willian's work ethic rather than what he is in the team to do primarily but his historical goal scoring ratio is very poor and he uses his pace in a stop, start fashion. However, I would dispose of Cuadrado, Ramires, Mikel and if necessary, Moses before Willian. With Azi and Oscar behind him and told to attack more he could be useful. If we have bought Pedro I hope he works out for our sake but I still have reservations about him in the Premiership.

I think the problem with Will.i.an is where he is asked to play - I would like to see him tried as an out and out right winger.

Agree1 Disagree1

20 Aug 2015 07:39:37
Hi ed I agree that moses and cuadrado also need to go but don't really care who goes first. If all 3 went we would probably need another attacking midfielder (griezman/isco) which would be perfect.

Eds: any chance we will sign Witsel to play alongside Matic? Also . assume no truth in Pogba rumours?

Thanks for your time

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed018's Note - Chelsea remain interested in Pogba. I'm not sure about Witsel but I doubt Chelsea will try for him}

19 Aug 2015 21:31:53
There are some rumours on twatter about pogba and odds have dropped. Obviously never going to happen but for some reason I am getting sucked in!

Agree1 Disagree1

20 Aug 2015 19:28:17
Forget witsel he's not good enough we need pogba

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 20:36:53
Some internet sources are reporting Chelsea discussing cuadrado plus cash for pogba could be on the cards. With pedro looking a likely signing and the interest still in greizman, wow. I think pedro will be a good signing as he's an out and out winger with bags of pace and always turns up in big matches.

This Pogba thing isn't dying down. But just cannot see it myself.

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Aug 2015 21:29:37
Allegedly Juventus is interested in four Chelsea players Cuadrado, Willian, Ramires and Oscar. It all depends how desperate we are to sign Pogba.

19 Aug 2015 21:32:47
One word.desperate

19 Aug 2015 21:36:26
I think it's more wishfull thinking on our part regarding pogba but if it happened then given our formation of 4-2-3-1 then where would everyone play him and who misses out?
I would play him behind Costa with matic and cesc holding. Hazard Costa and pedro not bad

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Aug 2015 22:07:05
I would roll out a 433 with him and fab ahead of matic. Gives hazard and Pedro more attacking license.

Agree4 Disagree1

{Ed018's Note - this}

19 Aug 2015 22:19:41
Totally agree. Can you imagine it? Trying to not get sucked in by it all. But think we will have played a blinder if we pull any sort of deal out the bag. Marina certainly doing her job very very well.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Aug 2015 23:01:03
There is still time to offer player plus cash or two players for Pogba.

Agree0 Disagree1

19 Aug 2015 23:08:23
If we got him i'd play him next to matic. Perfect.
I never thought we'd sign hazard but surprisingly did.
I'd give them cuadardo , rameries and £40 million for pogba he's that good.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Aug 2015 01:04:42
I'd give them Willian, ramires, Cuadrado and £40 million.
Moses if necessary and Mikel. Hell even Iva.

Hello Edor mrs costa could you help out please just wondering does the purchase of Pedro take us out the running for Griezman or do you still see a bid has likely

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed018's Note - they would still like to bring Griezmann in but it'll be difficult}

20 Aug 2015 01:06:49
Is it a matter of money or how keen we are

19 Aug 2015 17:25:24
So the latest rumour is about Willian being sold.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

19 Aug 2015 17:59:25
Wouldn't be massively bothered he's a good player but nothing special just does a certain job. Not 30 million's worth of a player anyway.

The report cited Bayern and PSG were interested despite both already having bought a winger this summer. Metro garbage again.

Chelsea agree £21m deal to sign Pedro! Apparently this caused problems between Abramovich and Mourinho, the owner wanted it but manager didn't think the player fits our style of play - owner won!

I've previously stated on here that I thought we were crazy if we didn't activate his release clause. hope I don't end up with egg on my face!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

19 Aug 2015 13:06:32
other reports saying mourinho personally called pedro to get him to chelsea, I wouldn't listen to much reports that surround abramovic and mourinho, the media want to make as much of that as possible and abramovic is a very private guy and their relationship is too.

19 Aug 2015 16:16:01
Great news about Pedro, only thing is I have heard from a very reliable source (agent) that they actually did drop their interest because Muller has agreed terms to join up this summer :-(

Reports say Pedro has flown into London to finalise a move to Chelsea and we have been cut to 1-3 on.

Mrs Costa stated this a few days ago. If we do get him hats off to u.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

19 Aug 2015 12:45:46
According to one newspaper (I know not very reliale) Jose Mourinho doesn't want Pedro and wants to strengthen other areas. It's Abramovich that is driving this move? I hope that's not the case, I rate Pedro highly. Not being able to get in Barcelona's forward line is nothing to be ashamed of with that front 3. I think he'll bring us more pace, goals and creativity. KTBFFH

Agree2 Disagree3

19 Aug 2015 13:04:23
The worrying aspect is that a number of papers are saying Abramovich is the one pushing the offer on Stones although it doesn't imply Mourinho doesn't want him. However, is this RA's response to the Mourinho antics, "you can have three players but I'm picking them"? We all know what happens to those not wanted by Mourinho, they are squeezed out over time. It was Shevchenko that brought Mourinho's demise to a head!

Agree2 Disagree2

19 Aug 2015 14:08:08
I think Jose know's he won't get the transfers all his own way. I've seen a few interviews where he has stated he leaves it to the board etc. I get your point though and hope we don't have another Shevchenko disaster on our hands! The positive is that Pedro is a massive upgrade on Cuadrado and Moses, both of which I think should be moved on. Now if only Abramovich would pick a decent centre midfielder we'd be sorted. I wonder if Juve fancy swapping Cuadrad and Ramires for Pogba? One can but dream ay ;)

Agree2 Disagree1

19 Aug 2015 14:50:04
dan23: I'll join that dream and I am sure thousands of others. Of course Joey Barton is still just about out there!

Come on fellas, stop reading the rags. Please try and use logic with some of this cr*p.

The media only knew of this deal an hour ago. Roman hasn't (ever) made a statement regarding a transfer, yet these morons source knows he is pushing for Pedro? Its known Mourinho was interested in Jan, yet 6 months later its become a fight and he has zero interest?

I know you like to buy into the fantasy the media pushes on us of how the transfer business works and all that, but its painful reading at times. I specifically use this site so I don't have to read the rubbish the media drums up, every, bloody, window!

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 16:50:10
Jeez, this is becoming an epidemic Melbie, I agree in many respects and this site does like to repeat newspapers verbatim but you know that RA is not one to get on the wrong side of as he does not forget and you said earlier in the week how Mourinho is successful because of his aggressive/antagonistic nature (Melbie: Who does that sound like?) and I think his antics on Sunday probably irritated the Boss. I seriously hope the reports today that Chelsea are 6/4 to sign Paul Pogba by the end of the window don't catch on or you'll have a heart attack.:}

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 17:31:10
Frensham, my poor naive friend, I said Diego Costa was most likely successful because of his aggressive nature. Not once did I mention Jose.

This site doesn't like to regurgitate the nonsense in the papers, the younger posters who visit this site may, but I'm confident Ed018 gets fed up reading some of the more fanciful rag reports posted on here, just as much as me and many others. Although I've only seen your name on the site for a matter of months, I've used the page for close to a decade, long before the club pages were up, and I can assure you even then, spouting the nonsense from the rags never went down that well. Telling rumours passed on from best mates dogs favourite postmen or Aguero's brother Ken being seen all over Europe was generally what was received the best.

Now that sly dig you made could be misconstrued as antagonist, (lucky I'm not fragile) but you can't be talking about yourself as I'm yet to see you successfully argue a point on the pages, so can only assume your talking about me, as you keep moaning that I play too rough. Once again I'll apologise that your skin isn't thick enough to deal with my point of view on some issues, but it isn't something I can help with. Also I'm fairly sure RA doesn't react like yourself and feel hurt as soon as something he didn't fully expect happens. JM just signed a contract extension. As you know he isn't immune to finding a way out of a club, and I'm pretty sure RA won't want to have to pay extra compo for early dismissal. Maybe in future we can refrain from assuming what RA is doing, as truth be told, we haven't a f**king clue, and nor does the media.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 19:06:17
Melbourne: You know in essence I agree with your first part but as we agreed earlier it is a banter page which means a little bit of everything from all sorts to mull over, agree with or rip someone a new one and in your words, have some fun. As for a sly dig, come on, there was nothing sly about it, just banging heads. Of course none of us have a clue what RA or JM think we can only surmise and offer our own thoughts which helps create a site like this so please don't keep getting bent out of shape when it fails to meet your exacting standards. I have got to say you certainly spice it up!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2015 05:19:36
Once again mate, I know you think you're well placed and all knowing to comment on everything, with nothing of substance to back it up, but I haven't once got bent out of shape. And due to the fact we rarely see eye to eye, you aren't someone I put enough value in to want to attack you. If you think that's mean, put your rational hat on for a second and realise we don't know eachother and have no connection other than a webpage dedicated to Chelsea. If you're looking for a friend, I'm not that guy. I'd say most likely you feel like you're being attacked on these things and are attaching a tone to my posts that isn't there.

I did say when I came back that if you post bs, I'll call you out on it. In my view you've posted some bs or talked fantasy world, I've called you on it and I'm yet to set you put fourth any decent rebuttal for the bs. You can continue to say 'its a banter site' and hope it that's a good enough argument to keep spouting nonsense, but for me, its a poor attempt to defuse the fact you rarely have a clue, but post as if things are fact. I haven't a problem with you as a person, I don't know you. I hope you keep posting as the last thing I want is to make you leave the page. But just because I strongly disagree with your views, doesn't mean I'm attacking you. But I won't keep justifying myself. So either be prepared to really debate something and stand by your views or stop complaining when someone challenges them.
