Alright guys I have a question. It's quite clear we need a new striker to replace Nando but my question is how it will affect lukaku. Yes I realize he's only 19 but he isn't far off being a top level striker. In my opinion within 2 years of this summer he will be a top level striker. With that said he will expect to be back at chelsea as their #1 or with someone else. My fear is that in purchasing a big money striker we might push lukaku away. Thoughts? {Ed002's Note - It makes no difference to Lukaku and it will likely be two strikers arriving.}
Markovic and falcao maybe?
I would say Markovic and Falcao too Sid.

I agree mate especially if we buy two strikers and keep Ba.
Lakaku does need another year playing fulltime though so maybe the idea will be to move one on when he's ready.
Lets hope so.
Why don't we just have 4 strikers?
I know there is youth coming through, but they will need to earn their place, not be given it.
Anything less than 2 new strikers would be a failure.

Although I actually think Lukaku will be a better player than Ba next season I think this would be, as far as strikers are concerned, the best resolution to our summer.
In.
Falcao
Markovic
Out.
Torres
Lukaku (loan)
Next season have Falcao as the number 1 striker and Ba backing him up - Markovic replacing Sturridge (who painfully hasn't been replaced) as the young attacking midfielder/striker.
If they're not out on loan I'd like to see either Bamford or Feruz get an opportunity in a cup game next season.

This is not FIFA, I mean how stupid are you people. Do you really think Markovic, an 18 year old wonderkid will be bought to sit on the bench for the whole season? He's not even a real striker FFS. the club has learned their mistakes with Lukaku, they're not going to do the same mistake again. if Markovic is bought, he'll be going out on loan, 100%!
I also hope any youngsters brought in will go on loan to gain much needed game time. We have seen with McEachran and Lukaku you can stunt a players development when they need to be playing. I think Chelsea have learn't from there mistakes and we are now doing things the right way. Eg Piazon, Chalobah, De Bruyne, Courtois, McEachran, Lukaku
I'd assume it will be Falcao and Schurrle. And before anyone jumps down my throat to tell me Schurrle isn't a 'recognised striker', go read his player profile. He has been prolific when played there.
