PSG now eyeing Sebastien Corchia of Sochaux, whom we have been linked with in the past (before Azpilicueta became our preferred target).

ED002 a few points can you tell me if i am correct

1) The deal for Azpilicueta is close and should be completed soon

2) The Moses deal is still in hand and should go through

3)Despite reports we are not interested in Modric

4) Our preferrred choices Cavani & Hulk deals for them are hard as the price requested is higher then we are willing to pay

5) We are Interested in Llorente but he is in talks with Juventus

6) Is there any other striker that we are interested in ED?

Not so much related to Chelsea, but what happened to the interest in moussa konate? He looked a great player, not saying Chelsea should sign him, but I wouldn't mind if he was or just even in the premier league.

Ed, there seems to be a polarised set of expectations for this season within the support - some are thinking we're going hell for leather towards every trophy, others that we're looking simply to build a new team and qualify for the CL. Is that the kind of thing you could comment on, what the clubs primary objective is this season? It may help steer peoples expectations on here.
I know the stock answer is always to "win things whilst playing well" but I imagine this term we'll be looking more at kicking off a new "generation" than do or die for the CL or league. {Ed002's Note -Like every other team Chelsea will try to win each game.}

Who do you may think we will look at are soldado and llorente potential targets? {Ed002's Note - Not Soldado but Fernando Llorente is interesting Juventus, Spurs, Cheslea and Manchester City with rumours of interest from Arsenal as well. There is a very good chance that he will move this summer and talks are continuing with Juventus.}

Interesting ED02 before your updates on Llorente Chelsea were not 1 of the teams mentioned has he been looked at then? {Ed002's Note - Things change but to be very clear he is close to moving to Juve.}

Curt, you do realize that Cobham is not open access for all and sundry, don't you, so you don't usually get people "watching them training". Also, Musonda was not in the under-18 squad, so it's quite natural to wonder how and why he got to watch him. so curt, there really is no need for the snark.

Ed,It seems that the so called interest in Modric is just a move to get Real Madrid to cough up more money.There's no point in getting our hopes up again just to be dissappointed because Modric apparently prefers Madrid and it has been made clear that Tottenham would never sell to us. {Ed002's Note - I am pretty certain that I have never gotten your hopes up over Modric.}

At the end of the day, in a 4-2-3-1 you can't play both Lampard and Modric in the 2, and Modric wouldn't get a chance ahead of Hazard or Mata in the attacking 3. No point in paying over-the-odds for someone who's not all that amazing. I'd take Lamps any day
