Hi Ed,

I have read a report on a portuguese football website (aBola) about Chelsea offering 55 Million Euros for Joao Moutinho and Alvaro Perreira, can you shed any light on this please mate?
personally i would prefer to spend that money on Modric and Mata.

Cheers

Dan1CFC {Ed018's Note - no offer has been made yet, although they are both players Chelsea are interested in.}

Youngster Milan Lalkovic (striker) will be going on a one month loan to Doncaster. 100% fact

He's already gone... it's on the cfc website

I hope he gets a fair amount of 1st team action when he gets back, I think he's very promising

What are the reasons the head scout has advised he may have a disruptive attitude on the squad.... He is a 20yr old lad who like many have had there youth playing football and has been expossed to money form a early age. Im sure what ever issues that have been raised could be ironed out with a great man management coach with AVB apparently is. Cause there is no doubting his talent level and footballing ability. whats your opinion on the Hazard situation and do you think he would do well for Chelsea.

Thanks

PB {Ed002's Note - I have explained the two reasons why there is the advise that there is. It is felt that there is an attitude problem - and this have been shown on a number of occasions over the past couple of years. There is also his stated desire to play in Spain for either Barcelona or Real Madrid. The club may decide to ignore the advice. It is impossible for me to speculate whether he would do well at Chelsea.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

The lad is just 20 im sure his attitude problems could be sorted out or made less of an issue plus im sure its that attitude that makes him the player he is. Lastly on his desire to go to Spain, Lukaku expressed his desire to play for Chelsea but if another big team came in and met the asking price he would have left because he is going to a top club im sure this would be the case with Hazard, I just think he is such a talent and could bring so much to our team that a possible attitude problem is not enough to rule us out buying him. Thanks for your reply ED and keep up the good work.

PB

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea, but what we don't want, is a fabregas, or another robben. A great player for us, but then leaves because he wanted to play for Madrid or Barca. We need people who give their all for the team, who are passionate about Chelsea. {Ed018's Note - exactly}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well personally I think Mata is a better option as he offers the left sided creativity we need and would probably form a very dynamic partnership with Torres.
Remember we are also seriously interested in De Bruyne.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember we have signed Oriol whose dream is to return to Barca when discussing Hazard or any other player

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats wrong with bidding for Aaron Lennon?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a Belgium international player, why would his life long dream to be to play for Chelsea when 10 years ago Chelsea weren't a known club like they are now and Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and so on were?? I no Lukaku has supported Chelsea since a child so fair enough but we weren't a mainstream club back then. I have nothing against a guy who is a teenager or just turned 20 saying his dream was to play for a clubs that were relevant during his era such as the Madrid's or Barcelona's of this world if you get me. He is quality and we are a top team now and he would have a larger re-sale value if that issue did occur so I don't see the problem personally

PB

Agree0 Disagree0

Aaron Lennon is shocking, another SWP. All pace no brain.

Agree0 Disagree0

His resale value is irrelevant, if he's good enough and wants to play for the club then he should be considered. But if he's going to behave like Gourcuff did at Milan, another exceptionally gifted player whose behaviour and mood swings led Ancelotti to publicly claim he needed phycological help, then we are better off without the hassle, that ended in the player going on loan for a season back in France and being sold for under his market value at the start of the next. If Hazards attitude is going to have a negative affect on the squad, then it is a big issue. Because if all he does is aggravate people and then leave in two seasons time what's the point? Might as well get the right man first time around.

Ed, what position does Moutinho play effectively? {Ed002's Note - Midfield.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Attacking or defensive? {Ed002's Note - Just midfield - anywhere. You should get out of the mindset of tying players to positions - it is very 1970s.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Tying players to positions lol so say I have Christiano Ronaldo playing for my team and I suddenly loose him due to an enormous bid coming from another club. What do I then go out and look for as his replacement a defensive mid like a Lassana Diarra yea. Players have positions for a reason, because thats where there play most effective, If I have a world class tackler more than likely he will be put in a more defensive position.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's more of a creative mid.

Hey Ed: Are we not lacking the player like Nasri,some one who has the EPL experience and also play in the wing as well as in the midfield...and if he is available why we are not going for such a player??I know this is cliche but we really need some quality sining this time around...What your say??Chelsea for life {Ed002's Note - There is not any interest in Nasri, nor has there been any interest in Nasri.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We would not want to sign a good player like Nasri, we chased Augero for 3 years and then City signed him

I notice that the Chelsea Head Scout has advised against signing Hazard.
Who is that man?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - He is a Belgian kid playing at Lille.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Sorry I meant what is the name of the person who decided against signing Hazard? {Ed002's Note - Hans Gillhaus has advised against it.}

ED, is there interest in Ezequiel Lavezzi, i've seen reports linking him to a move to chelsea involving kalou going the other way with 17m?

Ed002 I know you don't care for Modric very much, and seeing how we need a new midfield player and we really have two realistic choices between Modric and Moutinho for this transfer window, which of the two would you rather have at the bridge? {Ed002's Note - It is not that I don't care for Modric, it is that I don't care for paying over the odds for him and I have no stomach for explaining and subsequently arguing that there have not been two bids for him but one. It attracts abuse from the cretins and morons who sit there vegetating just awaiting someone to anonymously abuse on the internet. Given a choice of the two my preference would be for Moutinho.}

ED,
had a bid for Mata been rejected by Valencia in last 24 hours? as online news claim.
and now AVB saying, he is unsure of next Modric bid..
is he thinking of Moutinho instead?
hope these to be just the rumours.
please help clarify these. {Ed002's Note - There has been no formal bid for Mata, but one may happen. I have already explained that I know nothing of the Modric situation - one bid has previously been made, not two. Contrary to popular belief I cannot read minds so do not know who AVB is thinking of.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who are the other players, Chelsea are focused to if,
Either no Modric bid put again.
Or the next bid is put down. {Ed002's Note - Please read the earlier posts concerning transfers and targets.}

i know its not a rumour guys, but if you have spare time go on youtube and just watch lukaku, watch his visit to the bridge this boy is really really passionate about this club, im real excited about watching him give his all, about time we brought someone in that will bide his time and take his oppurtunity,

D

Believable7 Unbelievable2

If you judge a player by what you see on youtube you won't have a real insight into what the player is like, find out what he is like without the ball at his feet, how does he position himself when his team don't have possession, also his attitude when he isn't playing well, these are just some of the things you judge a player on, not a highlight video on youtube.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the original post was referred more towards the fact that how Lukaku is someone who is genuinely passionate about the club and is not just in it for the money. How well he plays?well, we all will get to know that soon enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was referring to his passion not his ability, i think if chelsea would spend 20mill on him, hes got to be decent

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok that i can understand, and yes it is good to see that kind of passion that he has. it will be really interesting to see if he gets some minutes against west brom, i feel he will be an instant success.

Ed, I fully understand and agree with Di Maria situation; he should be first choice and is worth waiting for. Just a quick query as to whether Real will contact us should it become apparent that is will deffo not be moving on during this window, its my understanding they have said he is not available ‘for now’? Given the drawn out transfer procedures we have seen this summer when do you think we should make serious inroads for plan B (presumably Mata), and leave Di Maria for another window?

Cech is out for 3-4 weeks, AVB will decide to choose either Hilario or Turbull on friday.

WiganBlu86 (im a wigan fan but i like chelsea)

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Bad news indeed. Which replacement would you choose? I don't have much confidence in either...am still reeling from watching Hilario's dreadful performance against Man City two seasons ago. Go with Turnbull?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would choose Hilario, even though hes had his ups and downs because Turnbull just doesnt have the experience in the Chelsea shirt.

totally agree with not aproaching until madrid says so for de maria
is it right that madrid mite be being looked into regarding the tapping up of neymar and do you read much into his statement about he doesnt want spain and everyone knows what he has said? {Ed002's Note - Nobody has made a complaint about tapping up yet but Santos threatened to. Chelsea bought benayoun last summer on a 2 year deal. He already spent 1 year without playing much and he is now on last year of his contract. So next season he could go for free on a bosman. So it would be a good idea for chelsea to sell him and recoup some of the money. If rajkovic gets a work permit, then ferreria could be sold. Kakuta, de buryne, kalas and bertrand should be sent on loan. Chelsea should buy modric and mata within a week. In january piazon would come and would be loaned to fulham or west brom.

Ed, you say Chelsea have enquired twice now over the availability of Di Maria, my question is weather he is available or not why would it stop us from placing a bid and testing Madrid, as we have seen with spurs when they said the same but we still made 2 attempts to sign him. {Ed002's Note - Madrid have said that Chelsea will be informed if anything changes, but he is not available at this time. The situation could change if Manchester City is approached over Tevez by Madrid. There are not going to be any random bids made to test the water. Discussions in Los Angeles were clear.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I can understand the respect Chelsea are giving Madrid in not making a bid until he's available tbh, appreciate the info,

Agree0 Disagree0

What would making a bid accomplish, he is not available, if you watched el classico this week you would see that di maria is very much a part of their plans for this season.

Ed. Is it right that inter milan intrested in didiear drogba if it is trued so chelsea should late ham to leave the club along side anelka,malouda,ferreira ,kalo, bosingowa, chelsea should late tham to leave the club it is enough for tham to play for chelsea because the club realy need to add some young talend and fresh faces. {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers about Drogba.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

They've signed a lot and already have some fresh, talented young faces. You're just saying get rid of old, experienced faces and weaken the squad. Although I agree with a few departures from your list.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told Chelsea to forget about a deadline-day move for Luka Modric but concedes the midfielder could be sold if a deal is done in good time(as early as possible)so that spurs can use this money to bring other players

Believable11 Unbelievable1

18 Aug 2011 10:13:01
Harry Redknapp has admitted he could sell Luka Modric and improve his Spurs side with the cash from the midfielder's sale.This is 1st big hint given by spurs on modric but there's no chance the chairman (Daniel Levy) will sell him on the last day of the transfer window.

we seem to be losing out on a lot of targets
mata seems good damaria last night was awesome
is there anyone we dont know of? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to explain the issues with Neymar in detail again but it is to do with a constantly rising prices, requests for him to stay at Santos until (a) after the World Club Championship, or ((b) after the Olympics, or (c) until the end of next season in December 2012. Additionally there are a number of unusual personal demands.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hi ED002
Hope youre not working to hard.As always I have followed all your updates closely and believe I understand why a stalemate has occured in the negotiations to secure the services of Neymar given the information you have provided.Forgive me for asking this as I am sure you are exsaperated by the constant requests for updates on this subject but cant resist asking.Can you provide a little more insight into the "number of unusual personal demands".
Thanks as always for the updates and insights provided. {Ed002's Note - I have explained these before but they include, amongst other things, 100 first class return air tickets per year between Brazil and London, and one or two suites to be available at a London hotel at all times throughout the year.}

Agree0 Disagree0

How long ago roughly did you post neymars unusual demands? Would just like to see it out of curiosty

Conor {Ed002's Note - Perhaps two months ago. You will need to find several posts.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the info Ed'002.Given this information the young man,or his agents,would seem to think he has something other than a talent for playing football to offer the world.I hope the Chelsea negotiating team are asking for a thorough psychological as well as physical examination.

also think malouda kalou anelka ferreria possibly drogba to go?
front line of torres sturridge lukaku and neymar sounds great with de bruyne one wing and da maria the other when he becomes available sounds good i think {Ed002's Note - You have a very naive view of the transfer process I am afraid.}

The Daily telegrap is reporting we will go in for Perriera and Moutinho and are willing to meet there release clauses to secure there services and are already in negotiattions with Porto. Perriera has a release clause of 20-25 euros and moutinho around 30m euros. ED do you no anything on this speculation?

Thanks

PB {Ed002's Note - Perriera has been discussed at length and is seen as a possible replacement for Zhirkov. Moutinho was discussed a while back as an alternative to Modric, Pastore, Ganso etc..}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I've watched Eden Hazard play a bit and this kid could be one of the best. Given his age, surely the chance for him to play with more experienced players plus his huge resale value should outweigh the scouting team's reservations (whatever they are)? 3-4 years in England then he can move to his preferred Spain. Concerned that Arsenal, Barca or Real will get him and it may be regretted.

Probable Ins:

1. Attacking Mid: Luka Modrich.

2. Winger: Juan Mata or Eden Hazard or Di Maria (less likely) or Willian (possible if any of above fails).

3. Midfielder (versatile): Kevin De Bruyne (more than possible).

Suggested Outs:

1. N Anelka. 2. S Kalou. 3. P Ferreira.

Suggested, not let to leave: Yossi Benayoun.

Are all the above positional transfers(either Ins or Outs) are possible with Chelsea for this Summer?

Injuries will not have much to do this season with these set of Players I suppose. Even it does, we will be having 2 or 3 players for each position, that can be used.
With Oriol Romeu returning after the U20 World Cup, Essien returning from injury in 6 months and Piazon joining on January, the squad will be pretty strong contender for the Trophies it plays this season.

Your thoughts ED? {Ed002's Note - I am not sure there is anything new here.}

Hey ED 2 questions.

1. IBT (There source Marca) is reporting that Chelsea last week approached Valencia with a £21m package for Juan Mata, do you no if this is to be true and it is also suggesting we will go back and renegotiate with Valencia to seal the deal. Do you no anything on either of these 2 statements.

2. Do you feel that an offer of a possible £27m plus Soloman Kalou & Yossi Benayoun is a good deal for Chelsea? I think Modric would really help the team but we do seem to be offering alot for the player. I do understand its due to Totenhams reluctance to sell.

Thanks
