Hi long time follower and reader of the site, ed002 just a quick question. I know you don't like to give opinions or hypotheticals. but was wondering what you thought on the current situation with players, costa being an example going on strike and breaking rules of contract. A couple other players are seemingly doing it to. what will be the likely outcome of this and will it be something the FA may intervene with? Thanks for the great site, credit to all the eds for doing a great job over the years.

Hi ed so sad to hear this I guess it is idiots ruining it for everyone else again? I think people should just get immediate ban as it really is a bane to the site and yourselves.

I guess, in any walk of like your going to encounter idiot people. None more so that on the internet. It's easy to be He-man behind a screen when there is no recourse. It is a shame that us, genuine fans who use this site daily have to suffer. In my profession I get high levels of abuse on a daily basis so can completely relate to anyone who wants to pull back from that including the Eds. back to us genuine fans, we can still enjoy this page without any insite! Nothing like a good debate 😬😬😬.

Exactly Ed001. The thing to remember is Ed002, and all Eds for that matter must enjoy contributing to this site as you said, you do it for free despite all the abuse, contribute, still, on a daily basis! Fair Play.

I asked my nan a few days ago and i can confirm she said the same thing. I think it's fair to say she confirmed his move to Chelsea🤞.

Rumours are spreading that another bid for Sandro was rejected. I wonder what encouragement the club are getting in being persistent with this one.

Cancelo is close to signing for Inter.

Drinkwater at 40 mil is plain stupid and we should stay away.

Ox would be good but Mr Wenger has come out saying he wants to keep him.

Van Dyke is not for sale as stated again by the club.

So folks these have been the recent players linked with our club.

It does not look promising. Hope there is no panic buys like when we did when we signed djilobodji and Procter. At the end of this crazy window, the main positive would be Antonio Contr continuing to be the manager.

Ok I must admit while Drinkwater isn't the most exciting rumour, he's exactly what we need. Someone who isn't expecting to start each week, and provides a valuable option in mids each week - its fair to say the Kante-Fab starting pair has not done well preseason or against Burnley. Yeah 40 million is probably too much but the market is crazy. Everyones costing stupid money so you're going to have to look at it from the point of view that, if we want something that our team needs were going to have to pay through the nose to get it or miss out.
You either want to sign players or you don't.

Van Dijks handed in a transfer request and is peeved at Soton. Hell go. Do you think 50mill plus for him is smart business even though we already bought Rudiger and have Cahill, Azpi, Luiz and Christensen? I don't, but what a boost a player like him would bring to the team and fans right now. I hope he comes.

Its not all completely bad yet. Some deals could stlll happen but we might over-pay.

Then we pray for our young players to rise up to the occasion this season.

The club are working hard to sign players. The manager is not going to leave anytime soon. The papers (exception May Law Telegraph) are full of rubbish. The scouser pundits hate Chelsea.
So guys, only take notice of the Eds about likely transfers, it will make you all a lot happier!
