If any of the Eds could answer this I would appreciate it.

I saw on the European pages that Morata could be moving away from Chelsea. What club would he go to and why would he move?

I thought he had a decent-ish season considering he was playing through injury and missed a chunk of the season. I would be sad to see him leave without a proper chance to prove himself. If anyone could share some light on this I would appreciate it. Thanks for the info so far.

AC Milan reps were apparently in London trying to get a deal done for him.

A question for ED01 please if I may. I see Chelsea are now favourites to sign Leon Bailey, do you know if we are strongly interested or is it just a case of bookies trying to generate bets?
Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - it is a case of him being a Chelsea fan and there being interest from Chelsea.}

I read Leverkusen are going for Ocampus of Marseille, I wonder if it's because they are looking for a replacement for him?

Hey Ed001, I've heard so much about Bailey, but I haven't really seen him play yet. What are your thoughts of him? Do you think he's ready for a club like Chelsea, or would he need another season or two?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it depends on how he is used, but yes, I think he looks ready. The pace he has is always useful.}

he would be my first choice to replace Willian if he goes not sure about hazard though he would be very difficult to replace.

Interesting, thanks for the swift reply.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

Do you know if a move for Bailey is dependent on Hazard leaving or is he more of a Willian replacement? Or neither?!
Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I believe he is replacing Willian, though not sure if that is dependant on Willian going or not, or just upgrading the team anyway.}

Are we really interested in Higuain. at his age and price and wages. really?

I have a hunch (which could be wrong) : It is that Chelsea might be looking at the possibility of getting Higuain and Rugani for a combined fee and let Giroud go (cos Giroud not Sarri's kind of striker) . Just maybe we could have Morata and Higuain as our two strikers for the upcoming season.
Sarri seems to want players that are used to his system cos there's little time to get the team playing to his philosophy; and the fact that a lot of our key players will returning less than one to the start of the season. Higuain and Rugani have both played for Sarri before.

Giroud will be 2nd or 3rd choice striker, I get Sarri will have his way but sometimes when that’s not working we will need a different approach, Giroud himself will no doubt want playing time, could see him going West Ham.

Matt you are right - Higuain rumours are strong. Just read that we have agreed a €60m deal for him.

Casimiero was our first choice, but Madrid would not make him available, which is why we signed Jorginho. Just sharing what the Ed's have said on the euro rumours page.

I read that and also read that we were going to swap mount for lonzano that would’ve been a terrible move imo a good loan at derby then hopefully he’ll be ready for our first team.

Chelsea is reportedly ready to reject approaches from Real Madrid and Barcelona for Eden Hazard and are confident they can hold on to their star man for at least another season.
Chelsea is willing to hand Hazard a new contract worth over £300,000-a-week to stay at Stamford Bridge and talks between his representatives and the club are likely to take place over the course of the next week. (Telegraph)

I hope this is just me being cynical but my guess is, this is the club ’saying to the fans, that it tried everything to keep the player but he was determined to leave and we don’t keep unhappy players!

Hazard isn't unhappy though, he made that clear. He won't kick up a fuss unlike Courtois.
