Ed, should I be concerned with Kakuta's progress? He hasn't appeared in any of the friendlys and AVB didn't include him in the group of players traveling to Asia. After all he made 9 appearances for Fulham in his loan spell with them last year. A lot of the players AVB said were taking wouldn't have had one appearance for them. Just a tad concerned. Thanks always {Ed002's Note - No, don't be concerned. Kakuta is preparing to play in the Under 20 World Cup.}

ED002 what did you make of AVB interview on SSN seems like he wants 2 midfielders is Parker viable option? or is Fernando his main defensive mid target along with Modric or Pastore is it possible we sign both Modric and pastore?
Also if anelka leaves along with Drogba thats a big wage bill of Chelsea hands may we target a big name striker? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any offer for Parker but there is interest in Fernando and seemingly Modric. There is every chance of a striker arriving.}

Just wondering if courtois would count as a home grown player if he were to play in England for three years ie. Chelsea loaning him out to a club in England. If so do you think there is a possibility that we would do so? Thanks {Ed002's Note - If he is loaned out in England and of the right age then yes. But I do not see that as likely.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Players have to play/train in England for 3 years under the age of 21. As he is already 19, it would no be possible to become a home grown player, so it would make no difference where we send him on loan. {Ed002's Note - Actually it is possible because it relates to the end of the seaon beginning in the year in which the player is 21.}

Yeah but no malouda
Agree0

Yeah they did look good but I think that sturridge needs to lift his head a bit and not be so selfish.. he could have played Torres in a few times and went himself instead... sure that will come in time...

i just finishd watchin cfc match against pompy and i think we really need 2get rid of d followin playas:anelka, molouda, kalou, bosingwa and even lampard.plz Ed wen will cfc start ofloadin d above names.thank {Ed002's Note - Malouda has been told he can leave but has said he wants to stay. Anelka will be leaving. I don't understand why Kalou is kept year on year. Bosingwa will likely move to Besiktas - I am not sure what the hold up is. Lampard may stay - it rather depends on what AVB makes of the players and who can come in to replace them.}
Believable5
Unbelievable0
Lampard needs to be moved on, the man is so slow now and a liability to the club, anelka, bosingwa should go.
Agree0
Disagree0
Are you for real? Anelka and malouda aren't quite good enough but testing lampard that was is disgusting the guy has put in performance after performance for Chelsea season in and season out He had a bad season last season because he was injured something that has rarely happened to him in his career. He showed loyalty why can't you so called "Chelsea" fans show him a bit of loyalty
Agree0
Disagree0
Kalou stays because he is probably the best 'squad' player in the PL.
Thirteen goals from 16 full games and a good few assists as well.
His best season at the club so far despite spending more time on the bench than the pitch and not bitching about it all the time.
Agree0
Disagree0
Agree with first post, lampard is finished as a top class midfielder he should go, so should malouda, anelka, boswingwa we have to make changes to squad asap, come on AVB you have had a good luck now at squad and must see it's not good enough to win the epl get the signing we need now before it's to late, most chelsea fan's can see this hope you can.
Agree0
Disagree0
Agree too. It is not personal. Lampard just got old and too slow. Kalou is a middle-table club player.
Agree0
Disagree0
Lampard has to stay he's starting 11
Agree0
Disagree0
Looking at todays match, we need some heck of a clear out to even compete with city and united.
if not we'll have one long long season ahead.
Agree0
Disagree0
That's what I have been saying all along. And this is what I cannot understand. We seem to not wanting to pay over the odds for players which I agree in principle. Then we are dragged to the saga with Modric and are willing to pay £30m which I think is over price. Yet when it comes to real world class players we chicken out?
Agree0
Disagree0
Agree that an overhaul is needed but we need to keep the spine of our team ie Cole Terry lampard I just think that lamps has been injured 20+ goals every season who else from midfield has the goal scoring record he has? Pastore to eventually replace him but he still has more to give.
Agree0
Disagree0
Be fair, Lampard's game was never about pace it was the timing of his runs, and scores when it counts. Pace isn't everything, look at Kalou he's got loads of it.
Agree0
Disagree0
Pastore will never get to play on Lampard's level. Stupid people forget easily.

Ok .... afraid its Neymar so - though hoping its Sanchez Any clues ed2? {Ed002's Note - Not right now because there is really nothing more to report at present. He will be joined tomorrow or Monday by the other club representative from Los Angeles and I understand they will be travelling to Brazil for a couple of days before returning for the semi-finals. I suspect there will be no new news until the end of the week at the earliest.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Ed please keep us posted {Ed002's Note - I will of course, but there is really nothing new in this - except their travel plans. We knew from day one that most of the players Chelsea were looking at would lead to being difficult drawn out transfers. Sanchez and the Barcelona saga and difficulties of Udinese; Neymar and the Chelsea/Real Madrid situation; Lukaku and the transfer fee; Pastore and the difficulties of Palermo; Aguero and the salary package; de Bruyne and not wanting to be sent on loan; Eriksen and the previous rejections of him. Then we had the change of manager and some replanning to do. It goes on and on. If anything comes up I will try and post it although I may go back to France for a couple of days and be out of the loop. We'll see.}

Will players not be put off going to manchester city? Robinho went... left, Tevez went... wants to leave, there seems to be a bit of a pattern. Maybe Aguero is just happy to pick up the wage though. We don't need that kind of player {Ed018's Note - possibly
Agree0
Disagree0
That's a very romantic and naive view of football Players like Tevez and Aguero can break down defenses when we play teams like MU and Barca. We can win teams like Stoke and Birmingham without such players. But no way we can win the Campions League

Liverpool during the recent year spended over 100m. all ther player are good player and has the potential to do even better such as CARROLL, SUAREZ , HENDERSON, DONI. ED do you think LIVERPOOL will cause a major threat for title.
I think Liverpool gathered some players, whom everyone consider to do well as a team. I reckon Liverpool needs senior players to guide this player to glory like GERRAD and CARRAGHER .THANKS

In my view, the transfer policy of CHELSEA is not right and I think MANU, ARSENAL and BACELONA s transfer policy are right and should try to the same policy. This clubs buy young and talented players who has the potential to play in the highest level for cheap rather than buying expensive players and also depends on there academy player and in return get large amount for there player when selling them such as RONALDO (MANU)-80m, MESSI (BARCA)-over 100m if he ever gets transfer, FABREGAS and NASRI (ARSENAL)-more than 65 million if they get transferred. If we look closely on the BARCELONA side, most of the players are from their academy such as MESSI, XAVI, INNESTA and only DANL ALVES and VILLA are the players whom Barcelona purchased in there mid twenties. So think Chelsea should buy players who are in their early twenties as the player would be cheap and can be resold for higher price to keep the fair play regulation positive such as GANSO, GUARIN , NEYMAR(even though he is expensive as many greats are predicting him challenge MESSI and ROLANDO in the coming days ). ED, doing a great job running this wonderful site even though most of them are rumour and gossips. I would like your note on my comments and not mention this comment is totally my view do not take it seriously or personally. Thanks
-MICHAEL {Ed002's Note - Fundamentally you are right that clubs should be looking to bring more players through the academy. But players like Ganso are not cheap - perhaps 40M euros. Chelsea have invested a lot of money in the youth system and there are some excellent prospects including McEachran, Van Aanholt, Bertrand, Hutchison - who had to retire sadly.}

how did talk s go with anderlect over the situation of lakuka and do u think talks are coming to an end {Ed002's Note - I am told that Van Holsbeeck is still looking for a figure in the region of 30M euros and that there are previously undeclared ownership issues to do with two other parties - one being Lukaku's father. Chelsea have made it clear that it is the responsibility of Anderlecht to deal with those third party payments and Chelsea were expecting Van Holsbeeck to have arrived for discussions accepting Chelsea were not interested in paying the sort of figure being suggested. It seems that this may continue to drag on for a while.}

Dear Ed002 future of AC Milan is uncertened. They realy have financial problems and there are 3 possible buyers for AC. Two from gulf region wich tried to buy AC last year and most serious buyer Gazprom from Russia(They already own Zenit St'Petersburg, main sponsors of Shalke 04 and Red Star Belgrade former European Champions). AC Milan seems to be their promotional interest(considering that Gazprom and Texaco are largets energetic co in the world this is quite possible). Where Ganso will move if he moves at all(as well as Neymar) as Brazilian economy is growing fast. Forget that snobish attitude "everyone wants to come to europe" cause europe is in worst economic crisis ever and Italy is in much worst state than Greece simply eurozone is hiden it due to euro.
Ed002 how old are You? I am just curious. {Ed002's Note - Gazprom had an interest in investing in AC Milan about a year ago but I don't think much came of it, I would need to check. AC Milan's current issue surrounds quotas for non-EU players and they are reliant of Taye Taiwo getting a French passport etc to ease the burden. They have an additional quota through trading with lower league teams but it remains touch and go whether Ganso will be moving to Milan this summer. PSG have an interest and Anzhi Makhachkala have made a substantial bid - which is going to be followed by a 100M euro bid for Neymar and Ganso as a package. I am 53.}
