regarding the registered squads for champions league teams. correct me if im wrong --- i think under 21s dont have to be registered, neither do homegrown? what about foreign youngsters?

could lukaku or hutchinson play in the final? i didnt see their names on the list?

ed could you fill in the gaps please?

DannyTrueBlue

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Players under 20 or 21 have to have been at the club for two years for them not to need to be registered i believe, so lukaku cannot play.

i have to admit im not to botherd about hazard likley going to manchester! with all the rubbish he talks in the media i think were better off without him,more hassel than he is worth possibly? the person at chelsea who has a problem with his attitude seems spot on! id be a happy fan if we could conclude a deal in hulk as i think he is taylor made for the premiership, big strong and skillfull would fit in very well in my opinion iv been a big admire of him now for a while

i have to admit ED002 i was a bit dissapointed when i read your comment that its unlikley that we will not sign both hulk and moura as i think moura has the potential to be one of the best players in the world! and a great aquasition for our football club! is it because it would cost to much for both or is it for other reasons ED?

thanks -jack-

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Moura & hulk wud fit in the same team just go hulk wing mora attackin mid

Agree0 Disagree0

We should go all out for Moura...He is a gem of a player.

Sorry for few seasons we are linking with the world class players and we are supposedly missing on most of the lads...if we don't sign quality then it will be like arsenal,liverpool everytime they start good but every time they fail to reach the major cup final...i'm not against anything...i just don't want to see my club failing everytime now and then...Chelsea for life.

ED002 Has AVB agreed to join Roma? or are there still issues with the deal? {Ed002's Note - Opportunities, not issues.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Who else wants him ED? {Ed002's Note - He has turned down an offer for Spain but has been waiting on another job to become available but so far it has not. Roma remains possible but they are looking at Montella as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this possible job at liverpool ED02? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems as if Hulk and Chelsea have already agreed personal terms but chelsea are still struggling to persuade poto chairman to sell him the word is that 84m will do.

Also in spain there is said that progression is being made with the signing of Falcao,the deal includes Torres(worth35m)+add.15m.

Alvaro Perreira wants to leave but doesnt look like Porto are going to sell him whilst Moutinho and Fernando are linked with a move to Chelsea..the Fernando one looks unlikely but Moutinho could come in later in the transfer window if Frank Lampard is sold.A alternative to Fernando is Javi Martinez but Bilsa and Bilbao are not willing to sell any of their top young players Llorente being the only one who will possibly be sold.

van der Wiel saga continues and shouldn't be read into too much.

Lavezzi is said to consider a move to Chelsea if we get champions league football next season.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

How would we be talking to hulk about personal terms without his clubs permission (if chairman doesnt want to sell him).. thatd be tapping up? josh

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Josh.

Also, the price won't be anywhere near his release clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

U seem to know so much, why don't u sign ur name?

FT9

Agree0 Disagree0

Indirectly..through the agent..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well to be fair it does go on all the time doesnt it?
Clubs rarely bother to talk to the buying club if the player isnt interested,rules or no rules.

Agree0 Disagree0

If chelsea pay even half of the 84 million i personally think it would be a waste of money. Hulk is not worth 42 million i would much rather we spent that money on 2/3 younger players than 1 player that when i have seen play isn't even that good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea are not in champions league next season

Agree0 Disagree0

And tapping up never happens !
LOL!

Agree0 Disagree0

If chelsea win the final they are in the champions league ...einstein here is the story Hulk has spoken to his agent so has Chelsea both parties are keen and agreed if Chelsea meet the price then he would join.

Agree0 Disagree0

And hulk has a contract until 2016 with Porto buying a bigger share of the player with a previous value of 35m now 84m {Ed002's Note - But that is not what he will cost. It is sometimes best to ignore the financial aspects.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think these Hulk rumours have definitely got legs; it seemed a very half-hearted comment made by the Porto Chairman, who doesn’t want to upset his fans, re. the situation! Plus its my understanding that the original Portuguese newspaper that broke the story has been a very reliable source in the past (broke the AVB to Chelsea story last summer etc).

We appear to also be in the market for a new holding player in midfield, although he hasn’t been mentioned for a while but last I heard we were still holding an interest in Hulks’ teammate at Porto; Fernando. I think he would be a very good signing, he is very disciplined in his role and a good reader of the game/tackler.

Two more Porto boys could be at the Bridge next season!

Surewould

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I've been talking about Fernando all week,he is a quality player, looks like a excellent reader of the game as you said.

With The movement of the Hulk transfer, just wondering where we are at,1) is it complete? 2) is there an issue with the price quoted 3)Does hulk want more money than Chelsea are willing 4) Waiting to see if we get Champions League next year. or is it something completely different? {Ed002's Note - As I have explained there have been discussions and there is no agreement. There is a difference in price right now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Damn, i'm getting this sick feeling, that we'll dangle over the price and end up with someone like City, or PSG just paying the price and us left with nothing. Hope it ain't true, but we have been hard done over Robinho and Pastore alike.

Hey ED002, are you a 56 year old (give or take) women who works as a freelance journalist across the world?

Thanks Bro

Samir {Ed002's Note - A "give or take" woman?}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

What a hell is give or take woman anyway?

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

If you have a "giving" woman, keep her! I seem to have met all the "takers".

Agree0 Disagree0

No No No!! I meant give or take being 56 years old! My baddd

Samir

Agree0 Disagree0

And how is ED02 a woman, now? Have i missed smth.?

JG {Ed002's Note - He was apparently working the age issue - missed by two.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahh, I see, a 54 year old women who works as a freelance journalist. I beg your pardon ;)

Samir {Ed002's Note - Woman?}

Samir wot is wrong with you. Are you 76 y.o. Arsenal supporter or something even worth ?

15 May 2012 13:30:27
Ed, Is it just a coincidence that Chelsea have made rather "many" deals with Porto in the last couple of years? and very often seems interested in their players? Or do we have some sort of relationship with them? {Ed002's Note - It is one of those things. Nothing more.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 May 2012 13:07:19
Hello ed, would love for u to answer some question for me
1) u said that chelsea are negotiating with partizan about Markovic but the amount they want is the problem, are we still negotiating with them or taking our time for them to reduce their fee
2) about hulk, if we should sign him in the near future will that mean there will be no more deal for Moura bcs i think the two are somehow related.
3) is the club looking to bring in a new centreback incase JT get suspended
4) how serious is our interest in Isla of udinese
5) i heard yesterday that Chelsea has been sold Emir Dautovic of Maribor for €1m, do u know anything about the kid.
May the blue flag fly higher than ever come may 19 Insh-Allah.
Dastanj {Ed002's Note - (1) Not at this minute - Chelsea made it clear at the end of last week they are not being held to ransom over this. (2) Both signing are, as you suggest, unlikely. (3) Not at this time. (4) Although there has been interest from Liverpool, the player has suffered a serious so he will need to prove his fitness. Chelsea, Roma, Napoli and PSG are other possibilities for the player, but I suspect Inter may strike a deal including a couple of youngsters going on loan or part ownership to Udinese. (5) I know nothing of it but if he is the Slovenian lad I think he is only 17 so you won't see anything more than an occasional visit to London and he will probably stay where he is for a while. There are several such signings each summer but he cannot move until he is 18 and most never make it - other "major" clubs do the same.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

RDM has confirmed chelsea will sit down and talk to drogba after the champions league game and decide his future

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure slovenia is in the eu so there are no restrictions regarding age when it comes to a transfer. Chelsea also have links with maribor now so it is very likely this kid is on the way. {Ed002's Note - Sorry but under the age of 18 the FA now view players as children and it provides issues with players moving to England without a parent or guardian. It can be solved but is potentially a problem.}

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2012 12:58:17
Ed, should Portos stance on Hulk be ignored? IF Hulk were to join Chelsea it wouldnt not be near the 80 mil clause right? Or are Porto really serious at this point about him not leaving for under 80 mil? If yes, would that change if the player wants to leave Porto? {Ed002's Note - (1) No, it can't be, he is a Porto player. (2) Right. (3) They are not demanding £80M. (4) Given they are not making such demands this question is irrelevant.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, I don't think I expressed myself clear enough. The word "stance" was misleading. Sorry. Should Pinto De Costas recent statement: "Hulk has a price and we are not going to negotiate and accept an inferior price to that of his clause, our desire is for him to be in our squad next season." be ignored? {Ed002's Note - I note he did not mention £80M or 100M euro. It is correct they have a price in mind though - but it is considerably less than you mention. As I said, there have been discussions but there is no agreement at this time - regardless of what the paper, Twitter, blogs etc. say.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, I see. after reading his statement again he actually does not mention any price, so its just the media assuming he is reffering to the clause I guess. Thanks for enlightening.

Kissmeyer

Agree0 Disagree0

He is talking about the clause, read the quote again:

"we are not going to negotiate and accept an inferior price to that of his clause"

no, i gave a link to information in a portugese paper. i do not work for that paper. i posted it and asked for your opinion which was inconclusive. which is probably why others then asked the same question aswell as posting supposed comments from Hulk's agent. that was not me so no i did not misadvise anyone im afraid so there is probably some crossed wires there. i will sign my name in future to ensure this does not happen again.
i apologise for the childish HULK TO CHELSEA comments as they were not called for but as i say a dash of politeness wouldn't go a miss.
James {Ed002's Note - Fine we will leave it there. I have no intention of trying to be polite after 54 years of being grumpy.}

Fair enough grandma.... ;)
we friends again then?? {Ed002's Note - Of course.}

ED i know you may say what manager chelsea already have a manager But do you know if the club already has someone lined up to replace Di Matteo ?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Non chelsea related ED02 do you think Dalglish may have left liverpool amid the rumours? {Ed002's Note - I have been a Kenny free zone since just after midnight so I am saying nothing. Sorry.}

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2012 12:25:30
three questions i would like answered

1) the club is supposedly denying a 2-yr deal to drogba because they want torres to be the focal point of the attack....right?.......considering this , how does it make sense for the club to buy a striker of the quality of falcao, higuain or cavani....they are gonna threaten torres for the 1st team spot which the club does not want....they want torres to be no.1 striker for the club
......the club should rather be buying a good second-choice striker like luuk de jong, oliver giroud or nilmar/g.rossi....what do you think

2)does winning the europa league make a team eligible to qualify for the champions league? like athletico for instance....

3)since the champions league final is supposed to be held in a neutral venue, that allows uefa to allot equal share of tickets to both the finalists....right?
wouldnt that mean that chelsea and bayern are allotted equal share of tickets inspite of the venue being bayern's home ground? not much of a home advantage for bayern?

taby {Ed002's Note - (1) Your suggestion about the two deal not being given for ... is incorrect. (2) No. (3) Being held in Munich makes no difference to teh ticket allocation - both sides get the same so many Bayern season ticket holders will miss out.}

Hazard to City rumour picking up some pace.... he talks a lot doesn't he? me thinking that we are right in not trying to sign him after all.... great player but has trouble with his attitude from what i have heard. With this being the 3rd club he has come out and said he would like to join i would tend to agree.
City can have another money grabber who will no doubt get paid £200,000 + a week.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Hazard is immense talent and brilliant player already but him at Chelsea would be silly, thinks his made it already and got bad attitude. Now would be time to try for Adam Johnson. Good young winger who like to take players on, maybe not starter every week but be great but

Agree0 Disagree0

Players with bad attitudes i can't get on with. Hazard as you say appears to have one which for me suggests he wont do too well in the Premier League and will get a hard time if he does not hit the ground running. But that is only an opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Its funny to read about "money-grabbers" on a Chelsea page LOL

What is the likelyness of chelsea selling torres this summer. {Ed002's Note - It is possible.}

Believable3 Unbelievable7

15 May 2012 09:17:19
With Adam Johnson wanting to leave and Micah Richards not being 1st choice in the last few months i would like us to make offers for both players. I would prefer Richards to VDW or Cesar plus hes British and has EPL experience, Johnson would also be a great asset and could challenge Marin for the LW position.

PB

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Totally agree with it. Just can't really imagine them willing to sell anyone to us. Unless they feel we ain't a threat.

Ed, I try to keep up with this everyday, so sorry if this has already been answered. But with chelsea's interest in Falcao, and both Chelsea and Atletico failing to make the champions league if Bayern win on saturday, would there be any chance of Falcao coming to the Bridge next season to play for chelsea? and if so, would the figure be around the same as what we paid for torres? because I feel they would work together and compliment each other as players. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Chelsea do have an interest in Falcao which has been noted before. The money and the result at the weekend are unimportant.}

Ed02: are Sao Paulo pressured to sell Moura. I mean, is his sale this summer imminent, or they will be able to gold onto him, by arranging some sponsorship of Neymar type, if you know, of course.

My point is, if they are, then they will do to the best option, i guess. Are PSG in it?

JG {Ed002's Note - There is no pressure over a sale this summer.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

15 May 2012 07:40:52
Some reports saying inter in pole to sign Moura, any truth? {Ed002's Note - Inter cannot match the offer Chelsea made in January and certainly cannot enter in to an auction with Chelsea. A third party ownership deal and some complex deal involving several other players seems to be what they are looking to broker right now. But there is also interest from elsewhere.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

So Ed02 - i heard that Liverpool are the ones interested. Is it them or someone else?

JG {Ed002's Note - It is not Liverpool. It is Real Madrid who have shown interest.}

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2012 03:25:24
The most important thing to sort out is the manager, I would like to see Martinez get a chance (and by chance I mean longer than 7 months!)

As for transfers, Im glad we've signed Marin. 3 others will follow, Van Der Wiel, Hulk and Schurrle. Cavani in if Torres leaves (95% sure he wont). Luiz & Ivanovic wont leave. Long shot signing: Cabaye/Tiote

Believable4 Unbelievable8

15 May 2012 02:13:10
Hey ed, does chelsea still maintain interest in joao moutinho? {Ed002's Note - If he became available at an acceptable price then there may be interest.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 May 2012 00:01:10
Ed in my opinion I think a total overall is mad
I think falcoa moura would be great signings with possibly vdw/cesar
Suppose the next best thing would be neymar but do u think we would have any chance?
A couple of young brazilians and as a outshot Adam Johnson along with kdb Marin and a couple of youth would be fine
Any idea if we stand a chance with any of these and are we pushing ahead quick to get business done early ready for pre season {Ed002's Note - There will be little or no news from Brazil until on or after June 7.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 May 2012 21:34:32
Seems as thought Hazard has made his mind up ED and man city is his choice from his interview he gave today would this free up Adam Johnson to leave?

BLUEBLOOD {Ed002's Note - It may well do. Johnson has by no means been a regular starter.}
