Chelsea make late bid to hijack Sanchez move to united.
Loads of rumours suddenly flying around that we could sign Sanchez under United's noses.
Not sure if to believe it or not, but let's hope it's true as our team needs something new in attack and Sanchez would certainly add spark, tenacity and most importantly GOALS!

All journalists linked to chelsea in anyway are saying they’ve heard nothing and not sure where rumour is from and questioning if true why so late.

Bobby. them were the good old days of 2006. Things have changed drastically since then mate. Football has changed drastically since then. Chelsea have changed with their transfer strategy and Shevchenko was not getting anywhere near what Sanchez is demanding right now.
Don't get me wrong i would love Sanchez. But this will be a Lukaku scenario and don't forget it is not clear whether Chelsea were even after Lukaku or not. But we got blasted by the media for letting Lukaku go. If we miss out on Sanchez, watch the same stories circulate of how we let this slip, how we got rejected etc.

CFCShak, I agree with what you say about how our transfer strategy etc has changed. The last what I'd call big move we made was Torres (obviously Morata cost more but he's not such a big name and today's market has just gone crazy) .
Over the next few windows I feel we really need to make a few top quality signings (not potential but already proven quality) . Because if we don't City, United and even Liverpool to a lesser extent are going to pull away from us.

I agree with you Bobby, Torres was the last big one. Maybe that failed transfer changed our stragey. But I agree we need proven quality. Teams around us seem to be getting proven quality and it is clear we are being overtaken.
I would love for Sanchez to happen, it would really be a boost and transfers like this would get hazard etc to extend contracts. But it seems unlikely.

I would love to think Chelsea are targeting someone like Sanchez and pray that the Carroll talk is just smoking mirrors, because I don’t think anyone of us wants to see him pull on the shirt.
{Ed001's Note - not much mate, I know Sanchez priced himself out of any possibility of a move to Chelsea. I am racking my brain and can't think of anything else I have heard regarding Chelsea recently sorry.}
