ed, ive seen that you've said their is a possibility that a bid for Hazard could be made this month and i understand the whole 'extraordinary bid' situation but do you know of any other clubs with serious enough interest to be making a bid this month? {Ed002's Note - I explained what I know in the message.}

When have we brought for the sake of it? our squad is old and a lot of players need replacing. avb also wants his own players cause most of this team is still mourinho's. although i do not rate cahill, we need another cb because alex is going, terry is ageing and david luiz is not consistant. a lot of players will also be leaving this month/in the summer and they too will need to be replaced so do us a favour and comment when you know what you're talking about.

Ed, you said somewhere below that you expected a winger/striker to arrive in january. Anyone in particular on the cards or is it all just speculation at this point? (as you have said many times you don't see Hazard arriving this month) {Ed002's Note - I think it may be difficult to bring a striker in this month. Hazard remains a point of discussion. De Bruyne remains overpriced.}

JG {Ed002's Note - River Plate's Lucas Ocampos has been looked at by a number of sides with Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy and that seems to have ended any brief interest that Liverpool had. Inter Milan, Sevilla and Palermo have also shown an interest and Juventus (not either of the Milan clubs) made a bid. Perhaps one for next year as a move in January seems very unlikely.}

I would guess that the young player discussed with Lille would be Kakuta, but that's only my opinion, anyone else care to hazard a guess? ;)
I would see him as the most likely option considering he's french and as a winger he would be replaced by hazard himself

If it were to be a part of a deal then yes, i guess it could be Kakuta. But we might as well live to regret that. The kid shows amazing skills and talent in the championships among his peers, but just has been unlucky to prove us wrong, still.
On the more realistic side, i guess the best deal we can get is pay the money, although big but do so and loan them Lukaku next term. I doubt anyone at the club has big first team plans over the 18 year old next year. It would be good for Lille, it would be even better for us. Good organization, well coached, good playing opportunities, close by, etc.
This makes most sense to me.

I agree with the above posts. Could loan them Kakuta and Luaku really, if it meant knocking off a few million from Hazards price tag. And as mentioned Lille seems a great place to get some experience.

I am happy about the news on Hazard, however i am very interesting in timing of the pursuit. Do you know when Chelsea will lodge there bid for the starlet? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}
Ed002 is there a chance a pre contract agreement for the summer could be put in place like dortmund with reus or is that only for players who will be going out of contract? {Ed002's Note - If they are out of contract a player can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club 6 months in advance of a move. If they are not out of contract then both clubs need to agree an everything.}

Would Lille be open to any deal that would involve Hazard leaving in January?
Its been said that Lille do not want to sell him in January as they wish to secure a top 3 spot. However, if Chelsea made an offer that they "couldn't refuse", would they be willing to sell in January?

Whilst Real Madrid or Barcelona remain his preferred destination PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem. However, Chelsea have discussed the player with Lille and an offer by Chelsea is very much a possibility. Additionally they may offer up a younger player to move in the other direction come the summer (when he will be available).}

Perhaps Lukaku loan deal? He need the experience, Lille likely to lose Sow, so Lukaku would get games and recently Lukaku said that he would be up for a possible loan out to England or France, because he understands he needs the experience.

Ed, Is there anything about Chelsea targeting Van der Wiel this transfer window? I think hes a better right back than Azipillicueta and is still pretty young. There were rumours surrounding a move to Chelsea back in the summer but haven't heard much in January? {Ed002's Note - He wants to move to Valencia and a deal is all but done.}
