Hi Ed, I just noticed your post about players probably/possibly leaving, and saw that Lampard wasn't on there. Was he just someone you forgot to put on the list, or is it likely that he will be signing a new contract?

Thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Lampard will be considering options - including a new one year deal.}

Ok thanks Ed, does a new contract look likely?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - RTFP.}

OK thanks

Ed002: you have mentioned of a significant financial contribution that it would require to get Cavani to Chelsea. Assuming Costa deal would go through, would you expect us to bid for Cavani? Or would we rather settle for strikers of lesser caliber/profile/transfer fees? Also, are we interested in Dzeko?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed in terms of interest in Cavani. There is nothing agreed in terms of Costa. There is no interest in Dzeko at this time.}

Regarding costa and cavani is it as simple as one or the other, especially with FFP

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

I would not say it is as simple as one or the other because of the FFP. A new EPL deal would see Chelsea increase the revenue from TV rights only by over 30 million pounds. The overall increase due to new adidas and samsung deals, TV money et al would see Chelsea add up to 70 million in revenue. Deduct the expected wage commitments of the outgoing players in Obi, Eto'o, Ba, possibly Torres, the likes of Romeu, Moses, possibly Cole, or even Lampard. It all adds up. From the maths part two top class strikers with the overall transfer, agent fees and wages + bonuses commitments seems atainable. Costa and Lavezzi would be perfect in my humble opinion.

Ed002 What youngsters do u expect to leave?
Cheers pal!

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I can't help with the very young players at all, but I would expect out will go: Moses, Marin, Mikel, Romeu, Kakuta, Hutchinson, McEachran, Ba, Eto'o and Torres. Possibly out Cole, Bertrand, Lukaku, Schwarzer and/or Hilario. There is interest in Luiz, Oscar and Ivanovic.

Hey Ed hope your well just out of interest would you be able to tell us witch sides are wanting to take Ivanovic, Luiz and Oscar please?

Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - PSG, PSG, PSG and Barcelona.}

Also Ed sorry to be a pest but I don't suppose you would also be able to tell us if Courtois has been offered to Atletico Madrid on loan again as part of the deal for Costa?

Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No but they want to keep him another year.}

I really hope Bertand leaves because I'd love to see Van Aanholt next season given a chance with our new left back. Do you know what's happening him? Or will he get watched at the World Cup to see how he performs?

Cheers mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would imagine all players will be watched and assessed during the World Cup Wheely mate, he will get his chance to show Jose what he can do when they meet up before the season regardless so I wouldn't worry, Will be sad to see Bertrand go he still young himself and did a good job for us when he was needed but I do like the look of PVA but to be honest unless Cole stays on for a year I am not to sure i'd feel all that confident about playing PVA in CL the dutch league is completely different kettle of fish to the BPL and the CL but let's hope he gets to show us what he can do in the World Cup IMO I would still love Moreno or Rodriguez to come in and PVA play has there back up for a couple years.

Just for any fans who are unaware don't forget tonight's u21 game against Manchester United should be a good one.
(thanks for the replies ED its appreciated.)

Hey Ed, you really think its possible to sell Torres? I mean no team in the world would touch him if he demand the wages he's currently on, and if he don't wanna take a pay cut Chelsea are more or less stuck with him withless they agree to pay some of his wages. If teams demand Chelsea to pay too much of his wages it would seem pointless to sell in a financial aspect.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Torres.}

Is it possible PSG see Oscar as a replacement for Pastore Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are looking to strengthen their squad.}

Ed002 I take it the club don't wish to sell oscar or luiz unless the right price comes in and the player wants to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps not.}

IMO I'm almost certain one of Oscar or Luiz or even both will be used as a player + cash deal for Cavani. Everything points to this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, when you say perhaps not, does that suggest that the club are looking to sell one of Luiz or Oscar, perhaps to fund a move for another player, and if so, any knowing which of the two players it would be? I'd be gutted to see Oscar leave because he's my favourite player and I thought that until December, he was arguable our best player, but I know he's been rather inconsistent since then, but he has so much potential and he's so young. Thanks Ed for any response.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It means I won't have words put in my mouth. And there is every chance that one or both could leave.}

Sorry Ed, didn't mean to come across that way, I just thought that selling either (or both) of the players mentioned would be for a reason (in which to create funding to be spent elsewhere), sorry. And thanks for the information.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No problem.}

Hi Ed. Are Chelsea interested in buying Mario Mandzukic? Cheers

Believable4 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - There are higher priorities than him.}

14 May 2014 10:55:33
Hey ED, please don't get mad. When you say higher priorities is that including or excluding Costa? In which case if it is excluding Costa, is the higher priority another striker prefered over Mandzukic ( assuming costa is more or less settled)? Or is it perhaps in a different position we would like to settle before another striker? Or is it just a simple case of a number of strikers who chelsea would prefer ove Mandzukic? Thanks for the reply. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is no effort from Chelsea to sign Mandzukic at this time.}

What are the plans regarding Luiz ed002? Quite a few media reports saying he is about to join Barca or Psg? Anything you know about?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - If any club makes an acceptable bid and he wants to go Chelsea won't stand in his way. As far as I know, no bid has been made.}

Is there any clubs known to be interested in him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Both clubs are interested but there is nothing on the table.}
