Hi ed The Lille rbr we interested in bringing him in {Ed018's Note - we are working on a deal for Azpilicutea for the right back position. that is who Chelsea want to bring in}

Ed,the mirror are reporting that talks have been held with marseille and the player's representatives today,do you know by any chance if these talks were successful or not successful?Thank you {Ed002's Note - "Successful" is a very subjective term. As I have been explaining for a few days these were planned and perhaps you will know by tomorrow night.}

Looks like Moses negotiations have stalled due to renewed interest in Hulk from Mr.Abramovic after the Porto forward has said on a few ocasions that he wants a move to the bridge to happen .

What do you think ED transfer deadline day saga perhaps..or are all these Rumours of renewed interest a load of rubbish?

I think the City defeat triggered the Russian to bulk up our attack. {Ed018's Note - until Porto lowers their price for Hulk, i can't see a deal happening}

I think he means more D/M ie Lampard & Mikel

Lampard would run through a wall for Chelsea and never lets us down unlike the defence always getting sent off and conceding goals so lay off lamps

Chelsea need to get rid of R.Turnbull, P.Ferreira, Y. benayon and maybe even Essien cause he wouldn't get a game this season with the brill new signings

Doesn't mean they aren't valuable to the squad.

The most likely of those to leave is Yossi. The rest will most likely stay.

Essien has declined more than any player I've ever seen. Injuries have cost him dear but I'm afraid he can no longer cut it at a top club.

Give essien an injury free season, then judge him! you can't say he's declined then say injuries have cost him dear that totally contradicts that comment

If essian can stay fit he will be a beast.

Yossi will leave, the rest will stay. Essien still has it in him if he can stay injury free. I hope he gets the nod over Mikel for the Wigan game!

Essien looked good in pre-season, he was taking shots and looked a lot quicker than when he returned last season

He's much better coming from midfield much the same as lampard but better
He is not a winger but I think this is where RDM see's him but this is one and not the only one that he's got wrong.
RDM is frightened of upsetting the likes of Lampard, Terry and Cole

If that's true then why have we been trying to sign a starting caliber RW(for exp Hulk) all summer. I just think he's in love with the old guard and doesn't want to bench Mikel or Frank. Last year us fans saw what AVB could'nt that his style of play didn't fit the squad and that the old guard gave us the best chance to win. This year(and i hope i'm wrong bcause i like him), RDM might be guilty of the opposite.

I don't think Rami minds playing out wide right. Whilst it obviously isn't his best position, his pace is very much needed in attack to stretch the oppositions defense.

And arnt we all glad jose made him play LB ash is 100 times better than gallas

Ramires will not continue to play wide right. If he does, I have serious concerns about RDM.

Ramires was distinctly below average as a centre-mid for us. I can't believe how quick people are to forget. It's only since RDM switched him out to the right he's become one of our key players. Moses will come in and those 2 will compete for the right-wing spot. End of.

Oh and also, Ramires wouldn't have scored those important goals against Barcelona and Liverpool (FA Cup) if he was playing as a deeper centre-mid {Ed018's Note - Ramires was playing a make shift right back when he scored against Barca}

if ramires will fall back as deep lying midfielder its gonna b lampard who will loose his place in starting XI.
and RDM yet not prepared to disappoint the club legend........

RDM has to give Romeu or Essien a chance to play against Wigan.Surely ,even he can see that Mikel is not worth a place in the starting line up after the appalling display in the last match.I wiil be very disappointed in RDM if he starts with Mikel and Lampard together in the midfield again.If he does ,then either he thinks Mikel is something special or that the others are playing worse than him,if that is the case and we still do not sign anyone else then we are in trouble.

Now Wigan have completed the signing off Ryo Miyachi on Loan, does that mean Moses move will be completed?

Miyachi is way better than mosses rather have him any day of the week

Grow up! moses is twice the player miyachi is! so much more about his game

I just want to say that Wigan have signed arsenals Ryo Miyatchi on a season long loan. Hopefully now tht Wigan have a replacement for Moses might speed up the deal but I'm only posting this because I it does than rami can be moved into the centre mid position. :)

A new holding midfielder would be great ... but i think David Luiz could easily play there. Can spray passes, dictate the tempo of a game, start attacks quickly, get forward and shoot, which he is actually quite good at, and snuff out attacks with his pace, strong tackling and interceptions. He could really make the role his own and develop into one of the world's best defensive mids. Box to box or holding. Then just buy a cheap CB for cover along with a RB and bob's your uncle. Thoughts people? Said this a couple of months ago and the response was surprisingly negative

I agree I think DL would be better suited to DM rather than CB as there is still a mistake or two in him at least if he was in the middle the back four can cover for his mistakes

I honestly don't think David Luiz will ever be used as a DM. You'd all be complaining that he gives the ball away too much, he plays risky passes and lingers on the ball too long. He would be as much of a liability there as Mikel.

All the negative opinions that people have about Luiz won't suddenly be fixed if he moves to CDM. His faults would still be there, in a just as crucial position. He is and will be a centre-back.

Reports that Ivanovic can actually play in first league games of season as the FA changed the rules and classed the Community shield match as a non-first team match so sending offs do not count towards EPL

Ed - I appreciate striker (Cavani), RB (Cesar) and Moses are our priority targets - just wanted to know if there is some sort of plan in place if Meireles is included in the Cavani deal or if he leaves anyway. Is their a shortlist of potentil central midfielders for if that scenario arises?
