Have we had a bid for david de gea ? {Ed002's Note - A while ago.}
Why would we go for a gk would he be an understudy to cech? Would it not be better to spend on other areas of squad/team {Ed004's Note - I am not sure why either, it would make more sense to strengthen the rest of the squad imo}
{Ed002's Note - Chelsea approached Akinfeev and De Gea when Cech was not performing well. As I explained area, there is a secondary issue that must be considered in that the FFP rules will limit future spending. A number of clubs are working on deals which will see longer contracts signed with clubs lent out or back to their previous clubs for perhaps a season or two. You need to give broader consideration to why some of these approaches are being made rather than to make an assumption that other players arfe being replaced or they are being recruited as understudies.}

And is Ancelotti set to leave in summer? {Ed002's Note - There are a number of dependencies. It was anticipated originallt that he would be leaving in 2012 - so there has been some disruption to the long term plan. We will have to wait and see what happens now.}

Ed Do you know if Chelsea are looking for any English/Welsh for the squad/team? {Ed002's Note - I do not know of any specific English players although there was discussion of possibly a homegrown goalkeeper coming in. I don't think any Welsh players are on the cards.}
