Ed018, How come were moving so slow in the transfer market? {Ed018's Note - i dont think they are moving slowly. there have been bids for several players.

So have we made a fresh bid for Aguero then or do you believe we have other targets, as he seems bound for Manchester City as Tevez's replacement? Shame Tevez dont want a move to London. {Ed018's Note - no there has been no bid for Aguero.

Ed018, do you think roma would accept 18 million for de rossi? Oh and 1 more thing, do you think falcao will join us? {Ed018's Note - i believe he is in his last year of his contract so 18 million might be enough to test them but with how ridiculous the prices for these players are i'd expect them to want more. as long as falcao deosnt sign a new contract for porto there is a chance.

Neymar = santos/real Madrid
Sneijder = man utd
Aguero = man city
Sanchez = barca
Pastore = possibly inter with the money from sneijder sale
Modric = to stay with spurs. Even if we sign him for well over what he is worth he is from a tottenham team who didn't make champions league football and he isn't as good as van der vaart / bale

So we end up with 2 Brazilian 17 year olds
Maybe lukalu who hasn't lit the Belgium league on fire
So much for the new Chelsea era all tho villas boas is an awesome signing

I don't understand why people like you are being so negative. We are only 12 days into the transfer window, so there are plenty more days left to negotiate deals, at the correct price, with the correct people.

Also, it's good to see Torres getting off to a good start to the season, with a goal over Wycombe today. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

It's ok. We still can snap a bosingwa or a Zhirkov here and there like we were doing lately, as our squad is strong enough and only needs a "player or two".

Modric is great player and is just as good as van der vart

It's not being negative after sitting at old Trafford watching us implode against utd I came to the same conclusion as most Chelsea fans and most Chelsea players and staff the time for change is now as for being negative over transfers just feel we have had are eyes on some good names to see no end product not negative just dissapointed so far but think villas boas is a class act and the introduction of young talent can only be a gd thing just wish we could land a few of them big names we have been chasing

Aguero has nothing to do with Tevez RM already put Benzema +25mil for Tevez, quite sure Citeh will take it.
Aguero will most probably end up in Chelsea. {Ed018's Note - sure it does, if Madrid make no effort to sign Tevez, i expect then to go after Aguero]

Ed are you beginning to worry like the rest of us that we're not going to get the names we though we might, neymar, pastore aguero etc ?? moutinho , falcao rolano etc is not good enough to help Chelsea lift the league cup or champions league {Ed018's Note - i'm not worried at all....yet}

Stupid move if its true. Luiz can quite easily fill in for essien whilsts he recovers. And maybe even take over the holding role permanently eventually. {Ed018's Note - im not opposed to that at all. i think it could be a move that would work out nicely

with Javier Pastore probably not moving outside Italy and with the most probably arrival of Modric, we will still lack of some midfielders. Modric is more deeplying midfielder than Pastore, who plays as AMC or trequartista (somelike Kaka in his goodtimes). There are some young prospects around the World that could be an amazing add to the squad as Toni Kroos, Paulo Henrique Ganso or Mata.
With Essien injured we should think abou othe players for that position. For me Javi Martinez is the perfect man. Others as de Rossi (amazing but old) or Moutinho looks to me as more difficult adds.
As wingers Marko Marin, Jesus Navas, Hazard or Neymar looks amazing. Aguero can play as winger or even as AMC.
But Ed, is Chelsea interested in any of this players? I see Aguero moving to City as re-emplacement of Tevez, and I dont really see de Rossi moving from la Roma. {Ed018's Note - i still feel like if we add Modric we need to add a winger or two. there has been interest in Neymar, some interest in Mata but i havent heard of any interest in Hazard}

chelsea and real madrid both want neymar but he wants to go to real and if chelsea let this happen chelsea will get di maria he is very unhappy at real because was promise a new contract but didnt happen is only on £40.000k aweek all this was said be ian balerga or what ever hes name is.

Javier Pastore would rather remain in Italy than join a Premier League team if he decides to leave Palermo this summer.

Pastore currently on duty at the Copa America, has been linked with Inter Milan as well as Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed life in Serie A after joining Palermo from Huracan for 19 million euros in 2009 and would happily stay.

He told Sky Italia: "If I left Palermo, I would like to remain in Italy. I have played in Italy for the last two years and feel very comfortable there.

"If I leave Palermo it will be to join a stronger team. I know Palermo president (Maurizio) Zamparini speaks to my agent. I am calm."

With Alex (amazing slightly underrated player)most likely on his way out, the question is Rolando or Subotic?
I say Subotic as although Rolando has some good qualities, he lacks ball control, one of the qualities a defender has to have. Plus he has one of those iffy football names who you always relate to messing up at some stage or another, if you get what I'm saying

Dortmund is not selling Subotic or Hummels or Goetze or Barrios or Levandovski.

ed, what formation do you think AVB will use and do you think it's worth holding onto the Malouda, Kalou and Anelka? what players are most likely to leave this summer in your opinion {Ed002's Note - I am not going to try and predict formations - sorry. Malouda has been told he can leave but wants to stay. Anelka will be leaving. I don't know what will happen with Kalou and perhaps it depends on who arrives. I expect Sturridge will be preferred to him next year. There has been past interest from Galatasaray and a couple of German clubs, but for now we have to wait to see if there is interest or if AVB wishes to keep him.}

Ed, is sky sports saying that if we do sign modric (for upwards of 30 million) then tottenham will sign miralem (sp?) Pjanic for 9 million? Why are we so ridiculous? Pjanic has the potential to be twice the player of modric, is much younger, would be a fraction of the price (fee and wages) is already proven in the French league (hardly the weakest in Europe), and seems a good fit for the prem.

Is this actually likely to happen? As if it does it would be like van Der vaart all over again, except without being safe in the knowledge that he is a little old, and we are trying to lower our average age, so have some reason for letting him get away.

Sorry if this rambles, but I'm kinda annoyed by this, and I trust Ed 002 and Ed 018 more than the tottenham eds, so I posted here... {Ed018's Note -
