ED02 i noticed you said Torres time at Chelsea is probably limited? what do you mean he may leave? {Ed002's Note - I am sure that he will eventually leave. I don't believe he is too happy with his performances and maybe the answer is to move on at some point.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Is this personal opinion ED or something you have heard from the club? seems a bit premature for me? {Ed002's Note - I was aked a question by one of the Liverpool fans.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Back to spain?

Agree0 Disagree0

But if he was to find his form would he stay? {Ed002's Note - For goodness sake I was simply giving an opinion in answer to a question. You cannot reasonably try and disect it like this.}

ED002 what position does Eduardo Vargas play? {Ed002's Note - He is a forward.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Would this end interest in Higuan then ed? {Ed002's Note - No, it is entirely unrelated. I would not make anything too much avbout buying Vargas, in the same way as signing Ulises Davila makes no difference to other signings.}

any idea how much we are getting for Anelka, presumably if he leaves in Jan there will be some transfer fee involved despite his contract being up in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Why does it matter. Most football fans don't underestand finances at all. It is probably best that we avoid discussion of them as much as possible. If you glance through teh Manchester United pages you will see how hopeless things get when money is discussed.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I was just wondering if there was a transfer fee involved tbh. {Ed002's Note - THere was an agreement reached, yes.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest just be happy his off the books!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anelka was and still is a top player!

{Ed002's Note - As of this morning the situation with Eduado Vargas is that he will most likely "move" to Chelsea or Zenit in January. Both clubs have made bids and Chelsea have continued with some further negotiation. There remains a concern as to whether or not he will be able to obtain international clearance immediately, but he will continue to play competitive internationals for his country as he may well remain on loan with Universidad. However, whilst Zenit have provided a better bid and a better financial package for the player, they do not have the work permit restrictions that Chelsea have but want the player immediately the transfer window opens. If the transfer to Chelsea were to go ahead I suspect it could be next August or perhap the year after before an appearance. It is now in the hands of his cluband advisors.}

Alright guys, I'm a United fan so let's get the banter our your system now ;).

Anyway, I was reading down your page a little and Just thought I'd leave a post on some of the subjects on here as well as other things about your club from an outside view.

1) AVB will be one of the best, just like a young player he needs to be given time and he's going to make mistakes at times.

2) Essien is the BEST Midfielder in the EPL in my opinion, only rivalled by Yaya in terms of all round play and flexibility It'll be silly to sell him, he may have his injury problems but when he's fit he's crucial.

3) Tiote - Does that mean you're not to sure about Mikel? I can't stand him for various reasons, inc him knocking us back for you guys but mainly because he bigs himself up and I don't think he's very good, well not a chelsea quality player anyway.

4) Anelka - I was quite surprised to see him go, He's been a decent player for you guys, although you've got Lukaku and Sturridge in the wings to takeover, does this mean that Drogs is staying for a while to come then?

5) John Terry - He gets criticized a lot by the majority of fans and although he's not the player he was 3 years ago he's still one hell of a CB.

6) Why are you getting rid of Alex?! he's brilliant, absolutely brilliant! he'd walk into virtually every side in the EPL yet you're sticking with Luiz and Ivanovic (although he's been decent so far).

7) do you guys think you need a new RB? Boswinga really isn't very good, he's come into some form this year but he just doesn't seem to be anywhere near the standard for you guys.

If i were chelsea's manager I'd tinker with your squad a little and buy/sell a few players;

Out:
Boswinga - Not chelsea quality.
Luiz - Goes walkies way to much.
Kalou - You don't really play with wide players and he's not good enough to start for you.
Mike - Just not upto scratch.

In:
Alba - Cover for Cole.
Tiote - cover for Essien.
Maicon - New RB, suits your style.
Thiago silva - Him and Terry would be brilliant.
Llorente - Drogs successor (although Lukaku is good).

Thoughts guys? Inc eds?

Good luck tonight btw, I think you'll steal it if i'm honest. got a feeling City won't be too sharp and if you played like you did midweek you'll be sticking 3 or 4 past them.

The Moon. {Ed002's Note - It has been known since the summer that Anelka and Alex would be leaving. Alex wants more first team opportunities to take him until 32 and a return to Brazil. Anelka is on a final pay day. Drogba has an offer on the table from the club but it is not acceptable to him. Mikel was effectively replaced by Romeu in the summer. Chelsea are actively seeking a new right back and are looking at one of the players Manchester United are looking at - Azpilicueta. Chelsea are also actively looking for a CB.}

Believable17 Unbelievable6

I'd read the reports of Anelka and Alex leaving but I just didn't really understand how it would benefit Chelsea when there are worse players in the squad.

Apart from that I'm not too clued up on the Chelsea stuff apart from the usual rubbish surrounding Modric.

Ed, who would you go for at CB and at RB?

The Moon. {Ed002's Note - Anelka is 32 so time had come. Alex was not forced out, it is his decision. As for CB and RB, it is nothing to do with who I would want.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Anelka was out of contract in the summer, so any opportunity to get some kind of fee and also remove a hefty wage packet from the books should be welcomed. Sturridge was always going to be 1st choice in the right-forward role this season, so Anelka moving is not hugely unexpected.

I don't see the need to go for Tiote although, personally, I'd like to see Mikel moved on, I think his game would be more suited to somewhere like Italy tbh.

I'd like to see us tie up a deal for Azpilicueta sooner rather than later although now Marseille have progressed in the CL, any deal would probably have to wait until the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur ryt on most, umm mikel hasnt started last 3 young romeu is going to b a gem 4 us, we need a ryt bak, badly. we have bertrand 4 cover 4 cole. {Ed002's Note - And in English.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That looks pretty accurate actually...

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotta say if you swing Azpiicueta then that will be an excellent buy. The guy has some serious ability, could work on his defence play a little but going forward he is excellent. Always surprised no big clubs snatched him sooner.

Rewflo

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, jordi alba, valencia and spain's first choice left-back would be happy to play back-up to cole *rolls eyes*

Do you know of any truth in the rumours linking Lamps to Real Madrid? The story claims a swap between the clubs might be on the cards with Granero coming our way... {Ed002's Note - Speculation.}
