Ed are Chelsea interested in jordi alba, I've read were going head to head with Barcelona for him? Also is there any interest in javi Martinez? Thanks Ed {Ed002's Note - There is in Alba from Barcelona and speculation only about interest from the Manchester based clubs. I would hazard a guess he could spend his near-term career in Spain - certainly he could well worry about the impact on his international prospects. Staying at Valencia is a perfectly likelu outcome.

Manchester City are looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez are the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona and Real Madrid being possible destinations.}

Chelsea linked with a move for Mario Gomez according to some sites/papers. Fee could be as high as 35M with a lucrative contract offer.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Please not him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any truth in this rumour ed? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not we've had too many duff strikers cavani or falcao please

Agree0 Disagree0

Duff strikers? Do you actually know anything about this kid? He's going to be up there with the very best and I personally, would chose him slightly ahead of Hazard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Duff strikers?

21 in 43 for Stuttgart 2nds
63 in 121 for Stuttgart
59 in 85 for Bayern

I wouldn't call that duff

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually, I was talking about Mario Goetze, but this bloke is now slouch either.

What does everyone think about the statement Terry made saying players not to blame for AVB exit.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Didnt he say that the players were as responsible as AVB, due to poor performances. Nowhere in his statement did i see him say the players were not to blame for AVB exit.

Ed002 can you shed any light?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - The results are to blame for AVB leaving and the results of the indepentent review of training that concluded the side were one dimensional and predictable. The players were obviously contributors to the results - but responsibility rests with the manager. Everything else is semantics.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He came out a few days earlier saying players were to blame and they could've done more. He's only saying that because the old players have under attack for their influence and average performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you another person who just reads the headlines instead of the story? he actually say they are collectively to blame

Blue John

Agree0 Disagree0

The review was spot on...we never changed tactics we played the same player in the same positions it was a joke..even wen ashley cole was out he played bosingwa at lb...surley bertrand desrved his chance? wats the point of him being there otherwise, that annoyed me, i was a massive supporter of AVB but towards the end even i couldnt defend him....MOURINHO BACK!!

I gotta say I am extremely disappointed with how quiet the site has gone, is understandable. I havent been near a computer for a while. I feel if we can keep a cleansheet against Napoli (not an easy task) we will advance. Am extremly pleased with what Roberto has been able to do so far and think the fact he is an old chelsea player helps boost the boys who have been here a while. I dont think it is out of the question for both us and arsenal to make the 4 with spurs tinkering off. The games against both of them will decide the top 4. If we can get 6 points we will make it.

I think we will beat Napoli 2 or 3 - 0. Im hoping the sacking of AVB put a rocket up the lads rear ends.

Your right Melbourne this site is a bit quiet, I think its since we won our last two games, people seem to just use this site to rant, it was busy enough when the results were bad.

Kenny.

Id love us to advance but if im being honest with myself i cant see us doing Napoli! i think we will win but the italians know how to slow a game down to the point of bordom and we still ant at our best by a long shot!

To be fair i think we are in with a good shot maybe we have to been top of our game still since robbie took over but good signs all round i think . We dominated birmingham and had a clean sheet and we basicly dominated stoke but they parked the bus cars airoplanes and wat ever else they could but we still won, i just hope we go all guns blazing against napoli as there defence is very bad. If we are 1-0 in dieing minutes i wanna see torres drogba sturridge mata and lampard on the pitch at the same time then i will be proud to say we gave everything. Blue until i die, we can do it boys not only for you but us and our country lets show again why this is the best league in the world!!
