Hearing Tomori on loan to Fulham for next season, would rather he stayed but would be great experience for him.

I rate the lad very highly but as I said in a previous post, I think a Premiership loan would be good for him.

Haven’t read that anywhere but I hope not. Christensen and Rudiger should be first ones out.

As long as they don’t sell him.

If one of the other three then get sold I guess that would mean we would sign two CH’s with Ampadu also likely to be going out on loan.

Anyway, all rumours at the moment.

£50m bid going in for Declan Rice that’s according to Angelo Mangiente.

That would be a bargain in my opinion Obinna.

Napoli seems to be very interested in Reguilon as personal terms are almost agreed between Napoli and Reguilon are almost done (although fee yet to be agreed with Real Madrid) - according to Angelo Mangiente.

It would be a bargain if West Ham would accept the £50m.

Don’t believe it though, seems too good to be true . Is he reliable this Angelo fella?!

Works for Sky Sport but his reports are quite reliable I think.

I'm hopeful that Rice, Chilwell and a good GK will be at Chelsea next season, along with Havertz.

Also Chelsea have a 3 year plan to revamp the squad completely.

Bargain 👌🏻 going to be a legend for us if he signs let’s just hope we can get it done.

All rubbish. No bid has gone in.

Sadly I think that is correct Adam.

TomB, I’m sure it won’t be long before a serious bid is launched though. I did read somewhere that the talks between us and Leicester re Chilwell are progressing nicely. Hope that’s true too!

If we can get in our three target players, whoever that might be Adam, I’m going to be happy.

Like all fans I’ve got my personal favourites but unfortunately or fortunately the club don’t listen to me.

Just another note, I’m also not worried about the cost of any player. Our club seems to be in a sound financial position and I trust them to use any money the best way they can.

Snap Tom, absolutely correct. We all have our favourites etc and who we want the club to sign, but I am more then happy to see Frank and the team make the choices on who they want. They see things, we will never see. It’s fantastic to see the club backing him in the market too. I wasn’t aiming that at anyone in particular, what I said the other day. Just some fans bang on about being too much money dah dah dah, but it’s up to the club, not like we are spending our own money on buying these players!

On Chilwell - if Ashley Cole rates him, that’s more then good enough for me.

Fingers crossed we get our targets in and hit the ground running in the new season! Come on Chels!

Regarding Reguilón on the Real Page:
{Ed002's Note - Sergio Reguilon (LWB) will be assessed on return from Sevilla and keep in mind that Real Madrid need to raise significant sums through sales. As such, RM have yet to decide whether to let SR have another season on loan at Sevilla and the re-integrate him when Mendy's contract is up or whether to integrate him now and lose perhaps €25M of much needed revenue. There is also a push to integrate a couple of fine youngsters in to the Real Madrid first team squad. A change to Kia Joorabchian as his agent means the player is considering his options - but Kia's team Arsenal won't be interested unless they were to lose Kieran Tierney. Spurs are looking to sign a LB and have asked to be kept informed of progress but money is pretty tight and they are less attractive to other sides right now. PSG have the LB issue to resolve and have also been asked to be kept informed but much will surround what happens with Bernat. Chelsea have Reguilon on their list of LB options to replace Emerson and cannot sign their first choice - but they have a concern that he is so one footed it may affect his game in England as it will make him less versatile in a faster game. Everton are apparently reported to have made an offer but clubs don't usually work that way and simply throw offers out there - Real Madrid know nothing of it, but they may have made an enquiry with Kia in case Lucas Digny were to move on.

Cheers for the repost. Wonder if we’ve perhaps turned our attention to Digne 🤷🏼‍♂️ Saying that I doubt he’d be much cheaper than Chilwell. I actually think getting Reguilon on loan is good for everyone. He might do well enough to wanting to stay if not Chilwell will be cheaper next summer and there might be a new quality left back on the market.

His one footededness is putting us off? A bit surprising given we have Alonso who is the most one footed player I’ve ever seen. Presumably Chilwell is the first choice that isn’t attainable. I still don’t see LB as anywhere near as big a priority as CB and keeper.

11 Aug 2020 12:32:25
Maybe that’s why then, because they’ve seen alonso struggle and be predictable with his crossing.

How fast is Sergio Reguilón? Speed is essential in any backline these days. Chillwell is fast, but imho is overrated and he is not worth half of the 80 million quid talked about in the papers. In this economy Chillwell is a 30 million pound player. And, although, he is fast he is not the player many imagine him to be.

celeryking, Reguilón is really fast and has great close control. WAGNH did a great write up on him if you’re interested they also touched on his flaws. He looks like the best bet for me but perhaps if a loan is possible with an option to buy even better.

Thanks ELi, a good solid read. All the potential LB signings have their issues. None of them are perfect. I like Chillwell, but to make him the most expensive defender of all time is just silly. Really silly. Chillwell is worth less than half of the 80 million they are asking. Especially in the current financial climate.

Sergio Reguilon as a loan or purchase makes the most sense at this time. Suddenly lots of other clubs want him to.
