I have a mate who keeps telling me that Chelsea won't sign anyone until our new kit deal with Nike officially starts, as Nike don't want players to be unveiled holding up the old Adidas kits (or want their new kits to be present in the unveiling of players rather than club scarves or whatever).

we can sign them an unveil them later if that's true, the adidas deal expires the end of june, players report back for preseason on the first of july unveil them then.

ive never known any other teams who change sponsors having to anything like this, its all nonsense we will sign players same as other teams in the past, same as we did going from umbro to adidas.

I think maybe we will sign then unveil at the start of July? This is the first window to open before the end of June, right? If so, this wouldn't have been an issue when we swapped to Adidas.

Pretty sure it opens 1st July so if the Nike deal comes into place on the same date or before then it's not going to cause any problems with signing and unveiling players.

According to various papers and Sky Sports it opened on the 9th for English Clubs to register players? Obviously if they're all wrong I'll shut up, but it's what I've been going on is all.
