Romelu is out for rest of season with knee injury, Ed will we look to get cover in Jan as Mikel is away or return some loanees.
Thanks
Tom {Ed002's Note - In terms of targets nothing will change. In terms of timing perhaps an effort will be made to bring someone in earlier. If his fitness is OK there may be a chance for Rohan Ince who was recalled from his loan to Yeovil. Connor Clifford is due back in the new year as well. I would think Lampard could also provide cover if needs be.}

Ed 002 Does that mean Frank will stay until the end of the season?
I hope we arent relying in Ince as he has been injured more than fit for the past few seasons {Ed002's Note - I think that Lampard will stay until the end of the season.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 I am pleased to hear that as rumours were around a few months ago that he might leave in January. {Ed002's Note - It is possible that he will, but probably not likely at this time. To the best of my knowledge, no decision has been taken on his future just yet.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, is if 100% confirmed that Romeu is practically out for season? {Ed002's Note - He has been under the knife - it'll be a while at least.}

Agree0 Disagree0

We will definitely buy a midfielder in Jan

Agree0 Disagree0

Conor Clifford can't play for Chelsea this season, as he's now taken part in official matches for two clubs this season. By UEFA rules, he's no longer eligible to play for anyone but the two clubs he's already dressed for this season. {Ed002's Note - Actually the Portsmouth loan was nulled after a breach of contract.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I would play David Luiz in the holding role. cahill and terry/iva at cb.

ED002 reports in spain say Real Madrid have or are close to agreeing a move for Falcao is this true? {Ed002's Note - There is interest as has been explained before. I really do not have the time and certainly do not have the inclination to constantly answer questions about what you read in the foreign press. Last night it was the crap over Markovic, The night before Higuain, Benzema etc..}

Ed do you believe that the purchase of bony is realistic {Ed002's Note - It is possible. Wilfried Bony was of interest to Newcastle over the summer and has been a player Chelsea have been considering for a while. Right now there is varying degrees of interest from Aston Villa, QPR, Liverpool, Everton and a couple of German sides (Hamburg and Schalke) but I doubt he will move to either. It would not be a surprise to see interest from other teams, possibly Napoli and Roma, but that is all there is at this time. The player has said he would like to join Chelsea but anymove in January is by no means certain.}

Eds have or do chelsea intend to offer cole a new deal. I believe he still has a lot to offer and betrand is not quite ready to take over just yet. The way im looking at it is,would letting cole go generate the club any income (no). As he would be a free transfer. Also would cole improve other top clubs especially clubs in premiership like city and utd.(yes). I dont believe in the 30 year old rule we seem to have. At the end of the day if you are still performing at the top level then he should be offered a contract. Players now can play up to late 30's. Or do you think it would be more about a last big payday. Plus i dont see any top quality replacements around unless your willing to pay 20m upwards.

NWBLUE {Ed002's Note - Cole will certainly be offered a contract.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Cole is certainly one of (if not) the best left back(s) in the world when he tries. The problem is he only tries in about 1 out of 10 games.

Unless he actually starts playing like someone who wants to play out his career at Chelsea then we should let him go. Lets give the youth a try.

what clubs are Interested in Hamsik? {Ed002's Note - I don't expect Hamsik to be moving. The only club to have made any sort of proposal recently is PSG.}

ED have PSG agreed a deal for Sneijder? {Ed002's Note - Not yet but I suspect they may. PSG and Fenerbhace are the two most likely destinations for Sneijder at this time. Anzhi and Spartak Moscow retain an interest in him but chances of a move to Russia seem to be near zero. I don't know of any remaining interest from Manchester United. There is a very slim chance that he could make a surprise move somewhere else and discussions have been held with a club on a different continent, but I would supect that is something for the future.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is that continent by any chance america? {Ed002's Note - Right.}

Hi Ed

Is there any interest in Luke Shaw as a long term replacement for Ashley Cole?

Also, do we have a genune interest in Verratti? I think he is different to any of the midfield options we have at the moment and could be a great signing.

Thanks! {Ed002's Note - Chelsea made enquiries about Shaw last year. Marco Verratti's move to PSG in the summer was unexpected as all indications were for a move to Juventus. I would not expect him to move in January but if he were available there would be plenty of clubs interested, not least most likely destination Juventus.}
